Nickelodeon NFT Provider Recur to Shut Down

Recur is the latest NFT-centered firm with big-name partnerships to announce its platform is shutting down.

Nickelodeon NFTs by Recur

The non-fungible token (NFT) startup Recur announced on Friday (Aug. 18) that its Web3 platform is winding down—unable to weather the chills of crypto winter despite hosting the IP of several big brands such as Paramount's Nickelodeon and Star Trek and Sanrio's Hello Kitty.

Over the next several months, Recur’s platform will steadily lose its core features, the firm said in a blog post. That includes the ability for users to withdraw NFTs from Recur, cash out stablecoin balances, and trade collectibles on Recur-hosted marketplaces.

“This decision has not been an easy one,” the company said on Twitter, citing “unforeseen challenges and shifts in the business landscape.”

Recur’s announcement captures recent headwinds in the NFT space as companies navigate a downturn in the popularity of digital collectibles. Last July, Recur embarked on a “jet-setting NFT experience” with Hello Kitty and Friends, only for its ambitions to be grounded a little more than a year later.

That same July, Recur noted there was “unprecedented demand” for its TV Packs that contained profile-picture (PFP) NFTs of Nickelodeon characters like Tommy Pickles from Rugrats and Arnold Shortman from Hey Arnold!. These were followed up by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles NFTs. Nickelodeon NFTs were sold through Nickelodeon.xyz, a sister site of Paramount.xyz. Pack openings will be disabled in November, Recur said on Friday.

Founded in 2021, Recur billed itself as a company that offers other businesses Web3 “building blocks.” Its platform could be used for creating in-game assets, loyalty programs, and digital collectibles that leverage NFTs, according to its website.

Recur’s move comes not long after Nifty’s, a social network turned Web3 creators portal, also said it was shutting down. Nifty’s had secured big-name media titles as partners too, such as The Matrix and Game of Thrones.

With over 380,000 NFTs minted through Recur, the firm said it has changes in store to ensure that various digital collectibles will live on.

Recur said metadata and media for its NFTs will be migrated to the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), a peer-to-peer file-sharing network built by Protocol Labs. Other assets will be hosted on Filecoin’s network, Recur added.

In December 2021, Recur offered a Recur Pass during a limited, 24-hour sales window. Sold as an NFT for $300, the pass could be resold and offered holders early access to future NFT drops among other benefits.

Last February, a Recur Pass sold for $88,888, Recur said in a statement on Twitter. Today, the cheapest Recur Pass listed on OpenSea currently asks for 0.001 ETH (about $1.69).

In late 2021, Recur said it was valued at $333 million after it announced a $50 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Digital, an investment fund backed by the family office of New York Mets majority owner and billionaire hedge fund manager Steve Cohen.

Other notable names had participated in a $5 million seed funding round earlier that year, such as investor and NFT creator Gary Vaynerchuk, Gemini’s Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, and Ethereum co-founder and ConsenSys founder Joe Lubin.

In addition to Recur, Funko has also released a range of Nickelodeon NFTs.

Baby Shark Swims Into NFTs With Toekenz

Pinkfong's IP will debut as a blockchain-based game on Toekenz's upcoming NFT platform, joining brands from Boat Rocker and Mattel.

South Korea’s Pinkfong Company has inked a licensing agreement that will see its flagship Baby Shark IP featured on Toekenz Collectibles’ upcoming platform that gamifies NFTs.

Toekenz will develop and introduce a blockchain Baby Shark game for kids ages five to nine, and the brand’s characters will also be available as digital collectibles that kids can customize and share with other players.

Targeting kids under age 12 and their families, the Toekenz platform is designed to turn collecting, buying and selling NFTs into a game for kids. It’s set to launch in Q1 2023 through the App Store and Google Play, and will feature blockchain-based games that kids can play to earn licensed digital tokens. The platform will also offer educational resources about new tech like web3, blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

Baby Shark is just the latest major kids brand to get on board with Toekenz, which recently partnered with Canada’s Boat Rocker Media to create NFTs based on its series The Next Step and Daniel Spellbound. And in an even bigger get, Toekenz also signed a deal with Mattel in October for a handful of its franchise brands.

Since the launch of its signature song in 2016, Baby Shark has generated more than 11 billion views on YouTube and expanded into consumer products, animated series and films. This is the brand’s second foray into NFTs. Last year, Pinkfong partnered with digital art marketplace MakersPlace for a range of tokens featuring animated illustrations of Baby Shark and his family, as well as the Baby Shark song.

RECUR and Nickelodeon Announce TMNT NFTs

Via the official RECUR blog:

BREAKING: NYC Turtle Adoptions worth Shell-ebrating!

Annual event ready for ‘87

By: Burne Thompson

Nov. 14, 1987

Manhattan, NY — On the corner of this famous city block hides a half-forgotten New York institution.

But once a year, a crowd of excited patrons once a year shines a spotlight on this otherwise dark corner of town.

Tucked under a historic brownstone, the Empire State Pet Shop is preparing for its annual Turtle Adoption Extravaganza.

And this year’s event is set to be a real doozy.

The pet shop plans to adopt a record 10,000 Turtles to homes across the globe.

Here’s what you can expect from this shell-binding a-drop-tion:

  • Starting December 12th, 10,000 Turtles — as digital collectibles — will be available on info.tmnt.xyz. The adoption fee will be $100 per Turtle.
  • These Turtles (algorithmically-generated collectibles) exhibit four distinct Turtle personalities. Sources tell me this could lead to unexpected twists and a new, interactive journey for Turtle fans everywhere.
  • I’ve received word that certain RECUR Pass and Nickelodeon holders will receive an allowlist code to jump the adoption line.
  • Holders of Nickelodeon Season 1 and Season 2 Mashups will receive a free pack for the first TMNT: Origins drop.

While this event seems to be bringing out the best in the city, it’s hard to ignore the backdrop of rising crime.

But as crime looms large, one thing’s for sure; these Turtles seem destined for something much bigger.

This mega-adoption event is a developing story.

Stay tuned for more updates. Breaking news is always just around the corner!

Join us in the Turtle Lair on Discord and Twitter for up-to-the-minute info.

'Invader ZIM' and 'AAAHH!!! Real Monsters' Join The Nickelodeon NFT Splat Factory

Via the official RECUR blog:

Foreman’s Log: Aliens and Monsters and Mashups, Oh My!

Get ready for Nickelodeon Season 2.

October 21, 2022

Nickelodeon Splat Factory foreman here. As the factory manager, I’m happy to report that Season 1 is in the books and ‘90s nostalgia is back.

Nickelodeon’s inaugural drop brought us back to the Rugrats and Hey Arnold! from our past. We laughed. We slimed. We combined our favorite characters to create unique mashups. It was a huge success thanks to fans from 197 countries across the world!

The drop sold out almost immediately–claiming the number one spot on OpenSea with over $3.25M in secondary sales in under 24 hours. And when challenges went live, all slime was claimed in 90 minutes, with less than a quarter of mashups remaining.

Now, as the spookier months approach, I’ve begun preparing for Season 2 with more Nicktoons, more slime, and more opportunities to collect crazy rare mashups.

But before I could get the belts turning, some unexpected visitors arrived.

Certain prying eyes (in-hands) and other worldly invaders saw the power of The Splat Factory. Mischief and mayhem are rampant, and the factory has been plunged into chaos. What are these characters from Invader Zim and AAAHH!!! Real Monsters stirring up?

Here’s what I know…

Starting November 7th, 10,000 TV Packs will be available on Nickelodeon.xyz for $50 each. Early fans will be able to trade them for slime, which can then be collected and exchanged for one of 500 ultra-rare character mashups.

When I asked if they had any demands, Zim and The Gromble spoke up.

Zim decreed that RECUR Pass holders and Nickelodeon Season 1 NFT holders will have a greater chance of receiving a Season 2 allowlist code.

Not to be outdone, The Gromble said he plans to give all Season 1 OpenSea auction holders and Mashup holders a free Season 2 TV Pack.

That’s all I know for now. It’s probably best we play along until they finish what they’re doing.

Stay tooned for more info and never miss a drop by joining the Nickelodeon NFT community on Discord and Twitter.

Foreman’s Log: It’s Almost Slime… Season 2 TV Packs Are En Route

Nickelodeon Season 2 drop details are here!

The Splat Factory is quiet but the stench screams in my nostrils.

On the bright side, the trash left behind by Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm has clogged the conveyor belts and halted further production of new TV Packs. Even amidst the chaos, 10,500 packs made it through the line.

Unfortunately, as GIR was distracting me (there’s just something about that dang Doom Song), Zim was able to beam the completed TV Packs onto his ship and he flew off toward the Nickelodeon.xyz marketplace.

While assessing the damage, I found that GIR spilt a chocolate bubblegum slushie on the main console. And what did I find stuck to it? A note written in Zim’s native Irken that, when deciphered, outlined Zim’s plans for global domination. Here’s what it said:

Zim’s Evil Plan:

Phase 1 — Complete

  • Team up with monsters ✅
  • Surprise puny Foreman ✅
  • Take over The Splat Factory ✅

Phase 2 — Complete

  • Have GIR distract the Foreman ✅
  • Obtain TV Pack creations ✅
  • Escape like a squak in my shmoopsquizz ✅

Phase 3 — In Progress

  • Release TV Packs to pitiful humans ⬜️

How I’ll sell TV Packs to pitiful humans:

  • Total Packs: 10,500
  • Pass Holder & Allowlist Packs: 6,000
  • Public Packs: 4,000
  • Marketing & Community Packs: 500
  • Price per Pack: $50

11/1 at 12pm ET — Snapshots

An Allowlist Snapshot Protocol will execute on the Earth date and time stated above.

This snapshot documents specific humans so I can give them guaranteed access to a Season 2 TV Pack. These humans will automatically qualify for my minion program should they meet any of the following criteria:

Season 1 Mashup holders — (1 free TV Pack per Mashup)

Because you understand the power of a Mashup, I can trust you’ll make a loyal minion. For this, you’ll be rewarded with 1 FREE TV Pack for each hideous revealed Mashup in your possession. (No sealed packs allowed, humans.)

Season 1 auction holders — (1 free TV Pack per character)

Oh yes, I see you, HUMAN WHALES! Although I don’t understand the benefit of being both a human and a whale, I’m very pleased to see you living the mashup mentality. Plus, your drive to win something is unmatched in your species. You will receive 1 FREE TV PACK PER AUCTION CHARACTER HELD!

RECUR Pass Holder — (1 allowlist code per qualifying Pass)

Because I am vastly generous, new minion hires with a RECUR Pass will get one allowlist code for every eligible Pass they hold with specific evil traits as defined below.

Passes must meet at least one of the following evil qualifications:

  • Most Occurring Color: Purple
  • Longest Sequence: 3, 4, or 5
  • Digit Sum: 1, 2, 3, 40, 41, or 42
  • Color Set: Monochrome
  • Property Tag: Unity, Zero, Perfect, Pi, Fibonacci, Binary, Cube, or Square

Find an eligible RECUR Pass here before the snapshot.

Nickelodeon.xyz holders — (1 allowlist code per pair of eligible character and RECUR Pass)

I’ll also extend allowlist codes to Nickelodeon.xyz holders if they hold both:

  • Any RECUR Pass
  • A Nickelodeon Season 1 character with a Slime Score of 3 or greater OR with any VFX attribute

11/7 at 11am ET — RECUR Pass Holder & Nickelodeon.xyz holder (minion) allowlist sale

You minions who are eligible for the allowlist sale will receive your allowlist code(s) on 11/7 prior to the start of the sale. Each code can be used to purchase one TV Pack from 11/7 at 11am ET to 11/8 at 10:59am ET.

Any unsold TV Packs from the allowlist sale will become available in the RECUR Pass Holder advanced sale.

11/8 at 1pm ET — RECUR Pass Holder advanced window sale

All RECUR Pass Holders will get early access to purchase TV Packs. The sale will last for an hour, as long as the Pass Holder allocated packs are available.

Any remaining TV Packs at the end of the Pass Holder sale will roll into the public sale.

  • 11/8 at 2pm ET — General public sale
  • 11/9 — Assess invasion force

FINAL PHASES OF MY EVIL PLAN

Phase 4 — In Progress

  • Exchange for our newly created Slime ⬜️

Phase 5 — In Progress

  • Create mashups to take over the world ⬜️
  • Laugh maniacally with GIR for an extended time ⬜️

Let’s see how his plans pan out. In the meantime, I’ll be here cleaning and humming that Doom Song.

If you have drop questions or monster sightings to report, please direct them to my friends in Discord or on Twitter.

Factory Foreman signing off… Doomdoomdeedoooom. Doomdoomdeedoomdoom.

###

Paramount+ access for Rugrats and Hey Arnold! holders 📺

Eligible holders of Rugrats and Hey Arnold! NFTs on November 7th at 5pm ET will receive free or discounted limited time access to Paramount+!

Relive your Saturday morning routines and stream all your favorite Rugrats and Hey Arnold! episodes in one place.

Update (11/14) from the official RECUR blog:

Foreman’s Log: So. Much. Slime.

The next Slime challenge is almost here!

Hey there! Splat Factory Foreman here.

Hot off the heels of the Season 2 drop, all Zim could rant about was the power of his ultra-rare Mashups. It appears Zim is following the same formula as Season 1.

With his corrupted Slime in tow, I can’t help but feel like he’s close to completing his ultimate Plan.

Here’s what I know:

SLIME CHALLENGE

November 17 at 2pm ET / 11am PT

CHALLENGE DETAILS

  • Holders of Invader Zim and AAAHH!!! Real Monsters characters can exchange their characters to receive Slime collectibles equal to their character’s Slime Score.
  • The Slime Score is listed on your digital collectible as a unique trait ranging from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 Slime.
  • Collect 10 Slime now, and later you can trade them in for an ultra-rare Invader Zim and AAAHH!!! Real Monsters Mashup TV Pack!
  • Slime collected from the Rugrats and Hey Arnold! season cannot be used to create an Invader Zim and AAAHH!!! Real Monsters mashup.

BE WARNED

Holders that trade (burn) their characters will forever remove them from the Nickelodeon.xyz ecosystem.

MASHUPS CHALLENGE

November 21 at 2pm ET / 11am PT

Now, I know these scary monsters and alien Mashups help Zim with his plan. But darn it if I don’t want one for myself. If I got a Mashup with GIR, I’d forever be reminded of that intoxicating Doom Song.

One can dream.

Paramount Applies to Register Trademarks For TMNT, CatDog, Real Monsters, Invader ZIM, Angry Beavers and Slime NFTs

Following the success of Nickelodeon's first batch of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), it looks like Nickelodeon will be bringing more iconic properties to the NFT marketplace in the near future.

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Paramount Global, the parent company of the Nickelodeon brand, has applied to register the trademarks for NFTs inspired by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, CatDog, AAAHH!!! Real Monsters, Invader ZIM, and Angry Beavers, as well as for Slime.

Paramount has applied to trademark Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesAAAHH!!! Real MonstersInvader ZIMAngry Beavers, and Slime under NICE Classes 09 and 42, and CatDog under NICE Class 09.

NICE Class 09 is for scientific and electric apparatus and instruments, downloadable multimedia files containing artwork relating to the field of entertainment authenticated by non-fungible tokens (NFTs); downloadable virtual goods, namely, crypto-collectibles and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), whilst NICE Class 42 is for scientific, technological and industrial services, research and design: software as a service (SAAS), namely, software for transferring crypto-collectibles and application tokens; platform as a service (PAAS), namely, software for accessing crypto-collectibles and application tokens; providing online non-downloadable computer software for enabling the transfer of crypto-collectibles and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

At the time of posting, each trademark application, filed earlier this month (Sept. 2022) is currently pending approval.

The news follows the success of Nickelodeon's first NFT drop earlier this summer in partnership with RECUR, which saw the release of NFTs based on two beloved Nickelodeon properties from the '90s: Rugrats and Hey Arnold!. Nickelodeon also applied to register the trademark for SpongeBob NFTs earlier this year, which is still pending approval.

In addition to RECUR, Funko has also released Nickelodeon NFTs based on retro Nickelodeon favorites as well as Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.

This is just the beginning though. Now that the first Nickelodeon NFT drop is done, the Splat Factory is ready to go full spin.

Are you ready for Slime, Mashups, and a teaser of what else is joining RECUR after the Rugrats and Hey Arnold! characters settle into their new collections?

Yeah, we thought so.

First up, it’s time to Slime. 🟢⏰

If you’ve been following along, then you already know that Nickelodeon NFTs come equipped with what’s called a Slime Score, this will be important to know if you’re looking to participate in Challenges.

Your Slime Score is the number of Slime you can collect if you trade in your character NFT. But keep in mind that Slime is permanent. If you do redeem a character for their Slime Score, they’ll be slimed and removed from the collection completely.

Your chance to exchange characters for Slime is starting July 26th and like everything else, Slime is non-fungible and limited in quantity. Don’t hesitate, Slime. Because if you’re too slow, a determined collector might beat you to what’s left and you don’t want to miss what comes next.

The Splat Factory is open for business! 🏭

Slime that players have collected can be used at the Splat Factory to cook up never before seen and super rare Nickelodeon Mashups! You’ll need to trade in ten Slime to collect a Mashup so get the slime buckets ready.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if Helga and Tommy or Harold and Angelica were mashed together? The results are undeniably exciting, for better or for worse. We promise when you see a few of these Mashups, you won’t be able to look away.

Just a quick reminder for you Football Heads out there, Slime is limited. It’s a rare element after all. And that means… *drum roll*, you guessed it! Character Mashups that Slime help fuel the creation of are even more rare to earn and collect!

So after checking your Slime Score and seeing what you’re holding, you might be surprised how much Slime you’re hoarding. On July 29th, get ready to turn that Slime into Mashups.

All that and details on a second drop?! 😬

Not yet, but it’s coming. Or is it? 😅

The Splat Factory nearly ran out of Slime helping bring this first drop to life. But if you help us refill it, you’ll earn some extraordinary odd creations to own, cherish, and trade forever.

And if you stay tuned in our Discord and on our Twitter, we promise to keep you posted on what’s coming out of the ’90s time capsule next.

Extra, extra! Special news incoming from RECUR! 📰

WAGMI baby! 🤗

Since you’ve been so patient with us and made it all the way to the bottom of our latest post, we thought we’d share another reason to care about what’s coming next…

The Care Bears are coming to metaverse with brand new style, experiences, and maybe even a few new friends. 😉

No point in spoiling all the fun though. There’s plenty more exciting announcements to come this summer and we’re preparing to share soon™️.

From ONE37pm:

What's Next: A Conversation With RECUR, The Team Behind Nickelodeon NFTs

RECUR is a company that designs & develops dedicated branded experiences that allow fans to buy, collect, and re-sell digital products and collectibles.

RECUR's investors include Gary Vaynerchuk, Jason Derulo, Joe Lubin, and New York Mets owner Steve Cohen.

RECUR's first NFT drop Rugrats and Hey Arnold! drop proved successful, selling out extremely quickly. It minted on Recur with $1M volume, and 890 ETH volume ($1.42M) Opensea, making it the #1 collection in volume in 24 hours on Opensea.

With other partnerships already secured with some of the world’s leading media franchises and IP, such as Hello Kitty, Viacom, CBS, Care Bears, the future is extremely bright for the marketplace.

CEO Zach Bruch chatted with ONE37pm about the mission behind RECUR, what makes the platform different from others, and what to expect from the team after Nickelodeon.

ONE37pm: How did it feel seeing the Nickelodeon collection sell out so quickly?

Bruch: For us, what was more important was seeing the community reception. We have seen people who have never participated in crypto from tons of different countries get involved. It shows that NFTs have the power to onboard people into the ecosystem.

ONE37pm: Besides being eco-friendly, what makes RECUR from other marketplaces?

Bruch: At RECUR, we power web3 experiences for some of the world's most iconic brands. We asked ourselves, what do people want from NFTs? NFT collectors expect dynamic communities and increasing utility. Businesses want elegant experiences, seamless royalty reporting. For most brands or IPs who want to discover or learn about web3 for the first time, they have to piece together little vendors and widgets. For us, The whole concept is to make web3 simple. We want to onboard the next wave of millions.

ONE37pm: How are you making it simple?

Bruch: To help others enter the ecosystem in an authentic way. Fans can come to the site and purchase and engage in ways that they are already familiar with. They can withdraw that asset and take it anywhere they want. Our team has a history of delivering and building. Isn’t our first rodeo. We have immense experience working in crypto for over 5 years, that's a key differentiator. We also support those payments globally to 225 countries and have cash out in 85 countries.

ONE37pm: Can you explain how RECUR works cross-chain?

Bruch: RECUR NFT is minted on Polygon, but it can be withdrawn on the ETH.

- RECUR operates a cross-chain swap in order to facilitate NFT withdrawals and deposits across chains. All NFTs are initially minted to Polygon. This initial mint occurs when the NFT is purchased via a primary sale.

- At this time, you have two options: withdraw on Polygon or withdraw on Ethereum.

- If you withdraw on Polygon, we simply send to the address specified by you - no swapping required.

- If you withdraw on Ethereum, we burn the NFT minted on Polygon, remint it on Ethereum, and then send to the address that you specified.

- When you are ready to deposit an Ethereum RECUR NFT back into RECUR, you will be prompted to call a burn function from within your wallet. This burns the NFT on Ethereum, and remints it on Polygon inside of RECUR’s own wallet.

ONE37pm: What can you share about the future of RECUR?

We can’t exactly reveal too much about the RECUR pass, but there will be a lot of early access for future drops and rewards for those holding our pass. At Recur, we are continuing to usher large brands and studios into the ecosystem. However, we are also opening our platform to enable creators of all sizes, so they can leverage the power of our technology and structure.

ONE37pm: Will you also be creating real-life experiences?

Bruch: I can’t say more than that, but yes.

RECUR Pass

The RECUR Pass is a collection of unique NFTs designed to give the early NFT community utility and special access to digital collectibles from the world’s most beloved brands.

Each generative RECUR Pass NFT grants early access and benefits to its holder within the RECUR ecosystem, across its brands & IP, throughout the metaverse, and beyond.

What's Next

A new and exclusive Hello Kitty NFT collection is set to launch next month, on August 25th, on the RECUR platform, in partnership with Sanrio.

The ‘Hello Kitty and Friends’ collection will feature six beloved characters that can travel to eight cities around the world.

RECUR and Paramount Global to Debut Mashup NFTs Based on Nickelodeon Characters

Brand-New Mashup Remix Inspired by Original Rugrats and Hey Arnold! Theme Songs Released Today from Famed DJ Steve Aoki

MIAMI--July 11, 2022--RECUR, the premier platform for creating innovative, multi-chain NFT experiences, is bringing some of Nickelodeon’s most iconic ‘90s characters into Web3 in a whole new way with the help of Grammy-nominated DJ and producer, Steve Aoki.

RECUR’s Nickelodeon NFT drop via Nickelodeon.xyz, beginning July 18th for whitelisted users and July 19th for the public, will feature 12 original characters from Rugrats and Hey Arnold! On July 26th, fans will have the ability to trade in their original NFTs to collect Slime which will lead to the opportunity to get Mashup characters starting July 29th.

RECUR and Paramount Consumer Products have partnered with avid NFT collector and Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Steve Aoki to introduce this new set of Mashup characters. In the spirit of mashups, Aoki created a new remix that combines original theme songs from Rugrats and Hey Arnold! into a new track to reveal Nickelodeon NFT character Mashups through a music video. The neon, technicolor music video offers fans a first look at the character Mashups while reviving the spirit of the '90s. Mashups are brand new characters that combine traits and names from the collection’s original characters. A Mashup that’s part Tommy Pickles and part Helga Patacki equals Tolga.

The video by Steve Aoki was released today and can be found below.

And it’s all powered by the RECUR platform - concepted and delivered with such an incredible partnership with Team Nickelodeon and Steve Aoki.”

This exciting NFT drop featuring Rugrats and Hey Arnold! characters will open to the public on July 19th at 2pm ET. There will be 10,000 Nickelodeon NFT packs available for $50 each through Nickelodeon.xyz — a site that is part of the Paramount-branded NFT marketplace Powered by RECUR. Each pack contains a distinctive 1/1 PFP featuring a unique take on one of twelve characters from Rugrats and Hey Arnold!. Characters from Rugrats include: Tommy Pickles, Angelica Pickles, Chuckie Finster, Phil Deville, Lil Deville, and Susie Carmichael. Characters from Hey Arnold! include: Arnold Shortman, Helga G. Pataki, Gerald Johanssen, Phoebe Heyerdahl, Harold Berman, and Rhonda Wellington Loyd.

The Mashup experience will allow fans to trade in their original Rugrats and Hey Arnold! PFPs for Slime, and then collect and trade in enough Slime to receive one of 500 rare Mashups. Fans will be able to swamp their original PFPs for Slime beginning July 26. After collecting a total of ten Slime NFTs, fans can trade in their Slime for a brand-new character Mashup beginning July 29th.

A day later, the floor price on the secondary NFT market reached 0.4 ETH (approximately $642.72). Within 24 hours, the collection had a sales volume of almost 947 ETH, ranking higher than CryptoPunks, Bored Apes, and other top NFT collections." - Metaverse Post.

  1. RECUR Pass Holder Whitelist Sale: July 18th at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET
  2. RECUR Pass Holder Early Access Sale: July 19th at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET
  3. Public Sale: July 19th at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET

RECUR Pass Holders get a front row seat

You may be thinking: sure, this is great but what’s in it for RECUR Pass Holders? We’re glad you asked. We’ve been hard at work figuring out how to create the best experience for Pass Holders and we’re pretty excited to try something new.

We’re reserving half of all Rugrats and Hey Arnold! NFTs specifically for RECUR Pass Holders. That means there’s 5,000 NFTs set aside just for Pass Holders to purchase. We’ll have two early access phases for Pass Holders:

  1. A whitelist for Passes with specific attributes;
  2. An early access sale for all Pass Holders.

Pass Holder Whitelist

Want guaranteed access to a Nickelodeon NFT? Well, you’re in luck.

For every RECUR Pass you hold that meets the following criteria, you’ll receive one early access code for guaranteed access to purchase a Nickelodeon pack.

1. Hold a RECUR Pass with the following attributes during the snapshot on July 12th at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET

2. A Pass that has one of:
Most Occurring Color: Orange or Green
Most Occurring Color: Neutral or Mixed with 2x Orange and 2x Green

3. AND one of:

Property Tag: Prime, Three of a Kind, Palindrome, Full House, Four of a Kind, Square, Cube, Fibonacci, or Perfect
Color Set: Monochrome , Dichrome, or Trichrome
Longest Sequence: 2, 3, 4, or 5

For example, if you hold a Full House Pass with a Most Occurring Color of Green in your RECUR Wallet on July 12th at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET, you’ll receive a whitelist code for that Pass. You can buy an eligible RECUR Pass using the Nickelodeon Whitelist filter here.

The Pass Holder whitelist sale will begin on July 18th at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. If you meet the Pass criteria during the snapshot, you’ll receive an email shortly before the whitelist sale opens with your early access code and instructions on how to purchase. You’ll have a 24 hour window to use your early access code before the whitelist sale is closed.

Each early access code will allow you to buy one Nickelodeon pack for $50. If you hold multiple eligible RECUR Passes during the snapshot, you’ll receive one early access code for each eligible Pass.

TLDR; more eligible Passes = more guaranteed packs.

Pass Holder Early Access Sale

If your Pass doesn’t qualify, you still have a chance to cop a pack early in our Pass Holder early access sale! During the early access sale, all RECUR Pass Holders will be able to purchase Nickelodeon packs while supplies last.

Whether you received an early access code or not, all Pass Holders at the time of the sale will be eligible. The early access sale will begin on July 19th at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.

There are 5,000 total packs available for Pass Holders to purchase during the whitelist sale and early access sale combined. Any remaining packs unclaimed from the Pass Holder whitelist will be available for all Pass Holders in the early access sale. We estimate that about half of the Pass Holder supply will be available in the presale, but it could be lower or higher depending on how many people on the whitelist redeem their codes. Any remaining packs following our Pass Holder sales will become available in the public sale.

Everyone else, get ready for July 19th

Our public sale will begin on July 19th at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET on Nickelodeon.xyz.

During the public sale, anyone can purchase Nickelodeon packs while supplies last.

There are 5,000 packs reserved for the public sale. If there are any remaining packs from the Pass Holder whitelist and early access sales, they will also become available for purchase in the public sale.

RECUR Pass Holders, get ready for a three peat. You’ll have your third chance to purchase a pack during the public sale. If you purchase a pack or packs in our earlier sales, you’re still eligible to purchase during the public sale.

This is just the start of what’s to come with Nickelodeon NFTs. Stay tooned to find out which characters will be featured later this week!

This post was updated on 6/22 to include RECUR Passes with 2x Orange and 2X Green in the whitelist and link to the Nickelodeon Whitelist filter.
