Viral SpongeBob SquarePants Anime Teases Surprising English Dub

SpongeBob Squarepants' viral anime openings not only have graduated to a full episode, but now is teasing a surprisingly great English dub release is on the way! If you have been on Twitter for the last few years, there is a chance that you may have seen animator NARMAK's anime interpretations of the famous Nickelodeon animated series in the past. Not only making a major viral hit with one anime styled opening, but several different ones that teased fun new interpretations of the fan favorite animated series. The latest release of the first full episode of this series has gone viral in just the same fashion too.

Fans have already heaped tons of praise on the first full entry in the fan-made SpongeBob SquarePants anime, there is bound to be even more praise coming its way with the upcoming release of the series' English dub. NARMAK took to social media to share a new trailer for the viral series to tease much of the English dubbing work that these crafty fans and artists have put together. And it's just as surprisingly great as the anime take on the series is!

With talented individuals that do their best to match the original voice cast (with a cast list NARMAK shared on Twitter here), it's so splendidly put together that the full release of the dub is bound to be an excellent one. Unfortunately there's no date for the upcoming dub just yet (or whether or not this is just a hilarious bit on top of several other hilarious bit), but fans might want to keep an eye out to see what this team can surprise us with yet!

Update (2/26) - NARMAK has revealed that, after he releases the End dub soon, he also plans to provide the episode without any voice work for dubbers to have fun with!:

Although this was a genuinely fun premise at first, now that there's a full episode out there, SpongeBob SquarePants makes for a pretty good anime series. It's already got fights and wacky character designs, it turns out all it needed was that final push from a talented group. As for the official series, SpongeBob's third film outing, Sponge on the Run, is currently getting ready for a digital release, including on CBS All Access in the U.S. and Netflix internationally. Lucky Canadians will also have the chance to watch the movie in theatres this August.

What did you think of the first full outing for this "SpongeBob SquarePants anime"? Did you watch through the several cool anime openings this artist has crafted in the past? Would you watch a full officially made anime series? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Carlos Alazraqui Working on New Nickelodeon Project with 'Reno 911!' Co-Star

Actor and voice actor Carlos Alazraqui, who has voiced many iconic characters in beloved series such as Rocko’s Modern Life (opposite Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants), CatDog, The Loud House, The Fairly OddParents, Camp Lazlo! and Family Guy has revealed in an interview with the New York Post that he is currently working on a top-secret Nickelodeon project!

Carlos Alazraqui / Getty Images.

"I’m excited about a new Nickelodeon project but I can’t talk about it — though I can intimate that I’m working with a fellow Reno 911! castmate," Alazraqui revealed to the New York Post!

Alazraqui can currently be heard on Nickelodeon's The Loud House and its spinoff, The Casagrandes (he plays Carlos, Vito and Sergio on both shows), and has a major role in next year’s SpongeBob SquarePants prequel, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years.

In addition to voice acting, Alazraqui can be seen in the live-action series Reno 911!, and is currently shopping his self-financed movie, Witness Infection, a horror-comedy starring Erinn Hayes (Medical Police). The actor also appeared in Nickelodeon's Taina and Drake & Josh.

Alazraqui, 58, whose parents were born in Argentina, spoke to The Post about his long voiceover/acting career — including voicing the Taco Bell Chihuahua from 1997-2000.

“The Casagrandes” / Nickelodeon

What are you working on right now?

I’m doing Kamp Koral, The Casagrandes — I just did four episodes last week and one this week — and The Loud House, and Maya and the Three, which will be on Netflix next year. I’m doing a few more episodes of American Dad and Family Guy, mostly utility roles, and I’m working on Curious George for PBS. I play Mr. Zoobel.

You’re known mostly for your voiceovers. Would you like to do more on-camera work?

I think it’s relative from week-to-week. There at times when I feel, “Do I really want to do on-camera chases and be a super-celebrity and get recognized everywhere?” But it’s pretty cool when you do a red-carpet [premiere]. We did the Reno 911! premiere on Hollywood Boulevard walking down the red carpet at Mann’s Chinese Theater and it was pretty awesome. You love that attention. The biggest reason to do on-camera work, though, is … you’re more apt to get some better jobs. It’s just a fact. So, yeah, I would like to be on-camera little bit more.

Is there any chance for a revival of Rocko’s Modern Life?

Outside of “Status Cling,” the 2019 Rocko special which came out on Netflix, I’m not sure. There’s always been a demand [for a reboot] and we would love to do it again. People also revere Camp Lazlo and even CatDog. You never know what’s going to hit or be iconoclastic.

"Rocko's Modern Life" / Nickelodeon

Do you do voices for your daughters (ages 9 and 6)?

My older daughter is also in voiceovers for Nickelodeon. She’s got the bug. My younger daughter loves me to read Dogman and Captain Underpants. I read those over and over again and do all the voices for her. You either have the voiceover gene or you don’t. I watched a lot of cartoons on TV growing up and got the vibe. I just wanted to imitate everybody. My brother is pretty good but he didn’t get the bug.

In looking back, how do you feel about playing the Taco Bell Chihuahua?

I don’t have regrets. I remember doing an ABC special and showing the poster at my old campus, Sacramento State, this is right after Columbine [in 2000], and student board members holding up a sign with the Chihuahua and Xs in it saying, “Kill the Chihuahua!” Other Latinos were going, “Forget about those people, we love the Chihuahua!” The League of United Latino Citizens was calling my house. As I look back, this wasn’t [adopts a heavy Mexican accent] “The Frito Bandito and I’m stealing your chips!” This was a dog that was really cool, with a voice that was not stereotypical … and it was not the biggest part of [the ad] campaign ending. [Taco Bell] had a lawsuit with a Michigan ad agency, which they lost. I never felt that it was offensive. As Tom Kenny said, “Nobody ever said that Count Chocula is offensive to all Romanians.” We now try honor more Latino roles with Latino actors. Right now I’m on a Filipino show, Trese … and I’m working with Filipino dialect coaches to make sure I’m doing it correctly.

Dax Shepard Welcomes You to the PAW Patrol Years! | PAW Patrol Official & Friends

Dax Shepard is here to welcome you to the PAW Patrol Years, a club his kids just decided he was in!

Spin Master‘s PAW Patrol is currently in its seventh season on Nickelodeon, and when a new generation of kids discovers the series every few years, a new generation of parents does as well.

Since its debut in 2013, millions of parents have entered the world of Adventure Bay alongside their kids, and now, TV’s Dax Shepard is here to welcome a whole new generation of adults to The PAW Patrol Years. To help those unfamiliar with the show and its toys, Shepard explains it as being about “an emancipated minor who hangs out with some talking dogs and together they put out fires, rescue chickens, and do other cool stuff.”

The new campaign was filmed during quarantine and shot entirely on an iPhone with Spin Master’s creative team guiding the effort virtually.

In the series of comedic videos, Dax shares hilarious warnings, tongue in cheek references, sage advice and product reviews in 15, 60 and 90 second clips for a fall targeted social campaign, which will roll out socially across Shepard and Spin Master’s social channels.

From Red Tricycle:

PAW Patrol Releases Relatable Social Campaign Featuring Dax Shepard

Do your kids watch PAW Patrol? Any parent of a preschooler can tell you that there is time when their kid has become totally obsessed with something, more often than not, a popular television show like PAW patrol. Keira Knightley called it ‘toddler crack’ and Ryan Reynolds threatened to sell his kids after an 11 episode binge.

Armed with the knowledge that preschoolers are totally PAW-obsessed, and parents are along for the ride whether they like it or not, Spin Master, the creators of PAW Patrol, enlisted the help of honorary PAW Patrol club member Dax Shepard to welcome parents to The PAW Patrol Years. Currently in the thick of it with two children in The PAW Patrol Years, Dax is hopeful it is just a phase. PAW Patrol, as he describes it, is a show about ‘an emancipated minor who hangs out with some talking dogs and together they put out fires, rescue chickens and do other cool stuff’.

Filmed while under quarantine and shot entirely on an iPhone in Dax’s home with Spin Master’s creative team joining virtually, he shares a series of hilarious warnings, tongue in cheek references, sage advice and product reviews in 15, 60 and 90 second clips for a fall targeted social campaign.

Created by Spin Master Entertainment and airing on Nickelodeon, PAW Patrol, is currently in its 7th season. The powerhouse franchise is heading to the big screen with an animated feature film slated for theatres in August 2021 (a Spin Master Entertainment production in association with Nickelodeon Movies, distributed by Paramount Pictures).

'It's Pony' Introduces Show's First LGBTQ+ Characters

Nickelodeon's hit animated series It's Pony has introduced the show's first LGBTQ+ characters!

In the brand new episode It's Pony episode "Loud Horse", which premiered on Nickelodeon on Monday, August 24, whilst travelling on the bus, Pony mentions that Marti has a girlfriend named Meg (the blonde woman who has her picture in Marti's apartment and who was on the boat earlier), revealing that Marti and Meg are a lesbian couple! A photo of Marti with a photo of Meg in the background can be found below:

Credit: Instagram /@egminecraftcast.

Nickelodeon has been making inroads in the past few years to feature characters and actors who are LGBTQ+ in the network's programming.

In 2016, Nickelodeon made network history with their first-ever portrayal of a openly same-sex male couple on their animated series The Loud House. The show has also revealed that Lincoln's sister, Luna, and her crush, Sam, are bi-sexual. The series' positive portrayal of LGBTQ+ characters has earned it two GLAAD Media Awards nominations.

The network also featured a younger unmarried female same-sex couple in the 2014 conclusion of its hit animated action series The Legend of Korra, which ended with Korra and Asami, two of the shows female characters, embarking on a romantic relationship, with fans endearingly calling the couple 'Korrasami'. Korra and Asami's relationship continues in comic book sequels to the series, including the upcoming Ruins of the Empire.

Nickelodeon's revived Double Dare featured it's first family with two dads in 2020.

Nickelodeon's Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling,TV movie, which bowed on Netflix featured a prominent trans story arc, and the network celebrated International Transgender Day of Visibility with a post on social media.

Animator Craig Bartlett has also revealed that Mr. Simmons, Arnold's teacher in Nickelodeon's iconic '90s animated series Hey Arnold!, is also gay, and has also hinted that Eugene Horowitz, one of Arnold's best friends in the show, is also gay!

Henry Danger and its spin-off Danger Force have also featured an impressive number of LGBTQ+ actors, including Michael D. Cohen (Schwoz), who publicly came out in 2019 about transitioning while on Henry Danger, Frankie Grande, who portrays fabulous villain Frankini, and Alec Mapa, who plays Jack Frittleman. Danger Force featured a family with two dads earlier this year.

Most recently, Nickelodeon celebrated Pride by confirming that SpongeBob SquarePants was at least an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, although some fans took Nickelodeon's social media post as the network confirming that SpongeBob was gay.

In addition to Nick, PBS, Disney Channel and Netflix have recently made history with shows such as Arthur, The Owl House and She-Ra, which have also introduced LGBTQ+ characters.

These representations are big deal considering that Nickelodeon has millions of viewers around the world, and the network's TV shows and movies featuring LGBTQ+ characters is an important step forward for mainstream visibility and acceptance of same-sex couples among younger viewers.

The BeatBuds Sing Out for Civic Engagement with Inspiring New Single "I Have A Voice", Available to Stream Today

"Meet The BeatBuds: Scooter Braun's kid-pop sensation. Jonathan Jonah and Matthew Shapiro are adjusting to an unexpected kind of rock stardom."– The Hollywood Reporter

“Their energetic shows aim to introduce young kids to the ‘pure joy and educational benefits of music.’ Their modern, almost indie-rock sound also resonates with adults.” – Variety

LOS ANGELES (August 21, 2020) — With its pop/rock sound and empowering message, The BeatBuds' timely new single, "I Have A Voice," reminds kids and grownups alike that everyone has the ability to make a difference. "I Have A Voice" is out now.

"For this song, we went back to our indie-rock roots to create a sonic landscape that matches the depth of the 'I Have A Voice' concept," says BeatBuds guitarist and lead vocalist Jonny Jonah. "We need to take action now if we want to make this world the best it can be for our children and the generations to follow."

"I Have A Voice" encourages listeners of all ages to use their voices for change, whether it’s speaking out against injustice, advocating for a good cause, being counted in the census, educating themselves and their children, or planning a trip to the ballot box on November 3.

Stream "I Have A Voice" HERE.

Listen and watch the lyric video for "I Have A Voice" HERE.

"As parents, citizens, and artists living in 2020 America, we feel it's incredibly important to instill in children and young adults the message that 'Your Voice Matters,'" explains BeatBuds drummer Matty Shapiro. "The depth of hardship we're experiencing right now can be overwhelming and distracting, and our goal is to remind families that they, too, have a voice and can be positive instruments of change."

About The BeatBuds:
Beloved by a large and devoted fanbase of families around the world – including an impressive list of celebrities who have invited them into their homes for birthday parties and music classes – The BeatBuds are best friends and musical partners who have been playing together since the age of six. Jonny Jonah and Matty Shapiro focus on composing catchy, educational songs that are a bit more contemporary than traditional children's music, while maintaining a fun and lighthearted feel. With a truly parent-friendly artistic approach, The BeatBuds' music can aptly be termed “family” music.

Guitarist/lead vocalist Jonny Jonah has toured with and performed alongside such bands as The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Jet, Queen (Adam Lambert), Motley Crüe, Papa Roach, Skid Row, My Chemical Romance, Ratt, Cinderella, Steel Panther, Foreigner, Avenged Sevenfold, and Buck Cherry, among many others, both nationally and internationally. He has worked with legendary producers Mike Clink (Guns N’ Roses, Motley Crüe, Megadeth, Metallica) and James Michael (Sixx:AM, Kelly Clarkson, Alanis Morissette), as well as having recorded and co-produced his own albums with talented individuals such as El Hefe (NOFX), Ryan Greene (Alice Cooper, Usher, Lita Ford), and Marc Jordan (Velvet Revolver, The Cult, Escape The Fate, Slash).

When he was a student at the Los Angeles Music Academy, drummer Matty Shapiro experienced the hands-on teaching of some of the greatest drummers in the world including Ralph Humphrey, Joe Porcaro, Mike Shapiro, Glen Sobel, and Mark Schulman. Throughout his late teens and 20s, he immersed himself in the local Los Angeles music scene, putting his drumming skills and musical sensibility to use opening for numerous international acts like The Killers, Avenged Sevenfold, and Fallout Boy. His involvement in national music festivals sponsored by Vans, Zippo, Ernie Ball, Hurley, etc. kept him motivated and constantly pursuing new drumming and musical opportunities. Matty has worked with legendary producers such as Mike Clink (Guns N’ Roses, Motley Crüe, Megadeth, Metallica) and James Michael (Sixx:AM, Kelly Clarkson, Alanis Morissette) and has done private studio sessions for countless "working" producers throughout his career.

Since 2012, The BeatBuds have performed over 6,000 gigs at venues including The Hollywood Palladium and The Fonda Theater and have released three full-length, original albums. They have partnered with iconic media mogul Scooter Braun of SB Projects (Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Kanye West, Demi Lovato, Dan & Shay, Psy, Tori Kelly, and owner of Big Machine Records), and together they are carving out their own exciting path to bring The BeatBuds to the entire world. The BeatBuds look forward to starring in their own animated preschool series on Nickelodeon, with production set to begin soon and a 2021 premiere planned.
