Nick's new comedy animation Rocket Monkeys follows the adventures of two monkey astronauts and their robot sidekick. When battling rogue black holes, vengeful aliens, criminal masterminds, and rifts in the evil dimension, the universe turns to its bravest and brightest to save the day. When those guys are busy, however, the universe is stuck with the Rocket Monkeys. Inexplicably charged with carrying out all kinds of important missions, brothers Gus (Seán Cullen, Steve Oedekerk) and Wally (Mark Edwards, Hypermonium) cause more intergalactic calamity than they could ever prevent. Luckily, they have plenty of help from YAY-OK (David Berni), their dashing and devoted (if slightly outdated) robot. These monkeys may not have the brainpower of the Rocket Chickens or the guts of the Cosmosloths, but they do have a hunger for adventure. And by "adventure" we mostly mean "bananas". From the icy depths of Brrrr to the horrifying Planet Splishy Splashy, there's nowhere too dangerous or ridiculous for the monkeys to explore... or try not to blow up. Though it's seen better days, the Monkeys’ big orange rust bucket of a ship remains remarkably versatile. It has everything Gus and Wally could ever need, from a lounge to a laboratory to a command center and even a space monkey arm for those hard-to-reach places. Nominally running the show is GASI, the Galactic Animal Space Institute. Always seeking out the next frontier in galactic exploration, GASI boasts several (at times contentious) animal divisions, from Astro Ducks to Rocket Zebras. "Rocket Monkeys" also features a great cast of hilarious characters:

Dr. Chimpsky (Jamie Watson) - GASI's esteemed Doctor of Exposition— errr…, Astrophysics, Dr. Chimpsky assigns the Monkeys their highly important missions (which sometimes include getting him more ice when his drink gets too warm) and does his best to keep them on track when they invariably get distracted.

Inky - Part adorable pet, part crew member, all kinds of messy. Inky may not be able to speak, but he still manages to express himself with his impressive ink work.

Lord Peel (Mark McKinney) - Villains aren’t born, they're made — and Lord Peel is no exception. A once-average suburban alien who just happens to kind of look like a banana (okay—exactly like a banana), poor Lord Peel was driven insane by Gus and Wally’s never-ending attempts to turn him into a banana split. He's since become a vengeance-obsessed baddie with a very specific goal: make the Rocket Monkeys pay.

Nefarious - Exiled by the Council to Stop Super Villains, Nefarious spends his time dreaming up new ways to escape his lonely asteroid prison and get back to his real business—taking over the universe.

Deep Space Dave - TV action hero Deep Space Dave is better at catch phrases than catching bad guys, but that doesn't stop the Rocket Monkeys from worshiping his every slovenly move.

Monkevil (Kayla Lorette) - Don't let her sweet exterior fool you — bank-robbing cutie pie Monkevil is as slick as they come, easily carrying out heist after intergalactic heist. Too bad Gus and Wally are too in love to notice.

The Space Gorilla - Rival rocket crew to the monkeys and the frat boys of the GASI world, He - and She - rilla are everything Gus and Wally aren’t: cool, competent, brave, and more than a little mean. He-Rilla is voiced by Jamie Watson and She-Rilla is voiced by Shoshana Sperling.

Bernice (Mike "Nug" Nahrgang) - Gus and Wally's doting mother. A fun-loving dynamo, Bernice loves to have a good time with her boys, but isn't afraid to play the stern mother card when they need a little discipline.

Gamester X (Mark Little) - Obsessive and excitable, Gamester X will stop at nothing to complete his rare and extensive collections. He’s a terrifying force — that is, until his mom yells at him to clean his room.

"See Dad Run" Returns To Nick at Nite USA With Brand New Episodes Starting Sunday 8th September 2013 at 8:00pm (ET/PT)

Nickelodeon, one of the world's leading recognized entertainment brands for kids and families, has today (Thursday 5th September 2013) announced in the following press release, from TVbytheNumbers, the exciting Nickelodeon News that Nick USA's nighttime programming block, Nick at Nite (stylized as nick@nite) will start to premiere and show episodes from the brand new second season of the networks hit live-action family comedy series "See Dad Run", which is executive produced by and stars Scott Baio (Chachi in "Happy Days" and "Joanie Loves Chachi"; "Charles in Charge"), from Sunday 8th September 2013 at 8:00pm (ET/PT)!

In the season 2 opener episode, "See Dad Throw a Birthday Party", Janie's birthday venue cancels at the last minute and David (Scott Baio) becomes party planner. To top Janie's friend Charlotte's amazing party, David plans a birthday bash complete with a famous monkey (guest starring Crystal the Monkey, "The Hangover"), but things quickly turn too wild!

In another upcoming episode, "See Dad Run" will be holding a mini "Happy Days" reunion when Garry Marshall, the creator of the legendary sitcom "Happy Days", guest stars on the show in the yet-to-be-named episode! Garry Marshall will play the TV father to Scott Baio's David Hobbs on the show within the show. The character is a former wild ladies man in his 70s who wants to settle down, get married and have a kid, but he is beginning to doubt the decision. The episode, expected to premiere during Fall (Autumn) 2013, will be directed by Marshall's son, Scott Marshall. Garry Marshall helped launch Baio's career, casting him as Arthur "The Fonz/Fonzie" Fonzarelli's (Henry Winkler) younger cousin, Chachi Arcola, on "Happy Days". He went on to win a Young Artist Award for his comedic turn in the long-running series. Marshall filmed the "See Dad Run" episode on Paramount's Stage 19 -- the same soundstage where "Happy Days" was filmed during its 1974-1984 run!

Original Nickelodeon Press Release:

See Dad Run returns to Nick at Nite beginning this Sunday, Sept. 8, at 8p.m. (ET/PT)!

In this Sunday night’s episode, “See Dad Throw a Birthday Party,” Janie’s birthday venue cancels last minute and David (Scott Baio) becomes party planner. To top Janie’s friend Charlotte’s amazing party, David plans a birthday bash complete with a famous monkey (Crystal the Monkey, The Hangover), but things quickly turn too wild

In See Dad Run, now in its second season, David Hobbs (Baio) has spent the last decade playing the perfect father on one of TV’s biggest sitcoms. But when the series ends and his wife (Alanna Ubach, Legally Blonde) resumes her own television career, he finds himself cast in his most challenging role to date: handling the day-to-day needs of three kids who’ve grown accustomed to not having him around. David soon learns that playing a dad on TV is child’s play compared to the real thing. Rounding out the cast are Ryan Newman (Zeke and Luther) and Bailey Michelle Brown as David’s daughters, Emily and Janie, and Jackson Brundage (One Tree Hill) as David’s son, Joe. Mark Curry (Hangin' with Mr. Cooper) also stars as David’s friend.

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Nick at Nite will premiere Instant Mom, the brand-new, live-action family sitcom starring and produced by Tia Mowry-Hardrict (star of STYLE Network's hit series Tia & Tamera), on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 8:30 p.m. (all times ET/PT). The multi-camera, scripted half-hour series features Mowry-Hardrict as Stephanie, a party girl who trades in Cosmos for carpools when she marries Charlie (Michael Boatman, Spin City), who already has three kids. "In Instant Mom, Tia vividly captures what it's like to jump into motherhood with nearly zero experience, and her stepchildren take a front row in her labors," said Russell Hicks, Nickelodeon's President of Content Development and Production. "Their comedic and authentic approach to their disparities as a new family will make audiences fall in love with the growing and heartfelt appreciation for each other and for the all-embracing blended family they are now a part of."

Instant Mom follows Stephanie as she struggles to maintain some sense of her fun-loving, slightly irresponsible life while managing being a full-time stepmom. Sheryl Lee Ralph (Moesha) stars as Stephanie's mother Maggie, and rounding out the cast are Charlie's three kids played by Sydney Park (CSI: NY), Tylen Williams and Damarr Calhoun. The season will find Stephanie learning what being a mom is all about and doing things her way: from attempting to get more involved by being on the parents' dance committee to starting an anonymous blog to planning a family "staycation" – often with far from perfect results.

In support of the Sept. 29 premiere, NickMom.com has launched its Instant Mom show site, which includes trailers, character information and bonus video features. Full episodes will be made available after each premiere. Editorial support on NickatNite.com will also drive to Nickmom.com. Episodes will be available for purchase the day following each premiere on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Samsung Media Hub, Xbox Video and Vudu. Viewers can keep up with the show on Twitter by following the Instant Mom page at @InstantMomTV and the Nick@Nite page at @nickatnitetv and by liking the Instant Mom and Nick@Nite Facebook pages.
