Schneider's Bakery's Dan Schneider Confirms The Hit Nickelodeon Show "iCarly" Will Be Coming To An End In 2012; Nickelodeon Orders Pilot For Nickelodeon Star Noah Munck

From TV Guide USA:
Exclusive: iCarly Is Coming to an End, Cast to Film Together for Final Time in June

iCarly

After five seasons, Nickelodeon's hit series iCarly will be coming to an end, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. In June, the cast will come together for the last time to film a special iCarly television event that will air in November.

"Everyone at iCarly has been like family to me for five years," creator and executive producer Dan Schneider told TVGuide.com. "When we film our very last scene, there will be a lot of crying, I know. But I also know that in television, you don't want to over-stay your welcome. I want to go out the way we are — on a creative high-note. "

Debuting in 2007, the half-hour comedy catapulted the careers of stars Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy, who play two best friends with a popular webcast. Along with their other best friend Gibby (Noah Munck), producer Freddie (Nathan Kress) and Carly's older brother (Jerry Trainor), the fivesome became famous for their hijinks and "random dancing."

"iCarly has been a definitional show for Nick with kid empowerment at its core and irreverent, smart humor that families around the world enjoy," Marjorie Cohn, Nickelodeon's president of development and original programming said. "With its classic sitcom format and beloved characters, iCarly will always have a home on Nickelodeon."

The show has featured many high-profile guest-stars over the years, including First Lady Michelle Obama, Jack Black, Jane Lynch, and the bands One Direction, Plain White T's and Good Charlotte. The cast is currently filming an episode with Jimmy Fallon, who will play himself. In the upcoming episode titled "iLove Jimmy Fallon," Carly and the gang dedicate a web show to the late-night host with spoofs of his popular skits. Impressed by their parodies, Fallon invites the group to New York to perform in a special live edition of Late Night. And in true iCarly fashion, Gibby suffers a major wardrobe malfunction which means big trouble for the web show's future.

Although the show is coming to an end, many of the cast members will stay in the Nickelodeon family. The network has green-lit a new live-action series from Schneider starring Jennette McCurdy and a new pilot starring Noah Munck as part of an overall talent deal with the 16-year-old. The network has also green-lit a pilot from producers Jay Kogen and Aaron Kaplan called Wendell & Vinnie, which stars Trainor as a goofball uncle who becomes the guardian to his conservative 12-year-old genius nephew. As for Miranda Cosgrove, she plans to attend USC in the fall. [Nathan Kress has also landed his first movie role in "Game of Your Life" and is looking forward to taking on a bundle of new characters.]

"I hope iCarly's legacy will be that it's a truly funny TV show that made people of all ages laugh, smile, and feel good," Schneider adds. "To the iCarly fans, I'd say, 'Thank you' a million times, for the love, support and true passion they've shown for iCarly. It's the fans that made iCarly a huge hit, and invited us into their homes on a daily basis, to entertain them. How do you say thank you to millions and millions of people all around the world, for bringing you into their homes every single day? It's amazing. I'd love to take each and every iCarly fan out to dinner and give them a big ol' bear hug!"

After the season concludes in November, iCarly will continue to air on Nickelodeon.

iCarly to end with big finale

Hit kids show Icarly is to end with a special episode in November.

The cast of the Nickelodeon show will gather to shoot the finale this summer before series star Miranda Cosgrove heads off to university in California.

Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy, who play best friends and stars of a make-believe web show in the series, have been big hits among teenagers for the past five years.

The hit comedy, which also features Noah Munck, Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor, debuted in 2007 and has featured guest spots from Cosgrove's School of Rock co-star Jack Black and U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama.

While Cosgrove concentrates on her education, her castmates have all landed new shows at Nickelodeon.

‘iCarly’ Will End After 5 Seasons

After first making their debut back in 2007 it has been announced that the teen series iCarly will be coming to an end as confirmed by TV Guide. The cast and crew will wrap things up for good one last time this coming June after being on the air for 5 seasons.

Executive producer Dan Schneider of the series broke the news to TV Guide. “Everyone at ‘iCarly’ has been like family to me for five years. When we film our very last scene, there will be a lot of crying, I know. But I also know that in television, you don’t want to over-stay your welcome. I want to go out the way we are — on a creative high-note.”

'iCarly' to End After Five Years, a Special Planned for November

While lead actress Miranda Cosgrove plans to attend USC after the hit series is wrapped up, some other cast members will stay on Nickelodeon with new shows.

Nickelodeon has officially announced that "iCarly" will end its run after six seasons. The show, which catapulted the career of Miranda Cosgrove, will film a special television event in June and air it later in November.

"When we film our very last scene, there will be a lot of crying, I know," creator and executive producer Dan Schneider told TV Guide. "But I also know that in television, you don't want to over-stay your welcome. I want to go out the way we are - on a creative high-note."

"I hope iCarly's legacy will be that it's a truly funny TV show that made people of all ages laugh, smile, and feel good," he added. It's the fans that made iCarly a huge hit, and invited us into their homes on a daily basis, to entertain them."

Cosgrove, who portrays Carly Shay on the family-comedy show, plans to attend USC in the fall. Meanwhile, some other cast members have landed a new project on the network. Jennette McCurdy will star on a new live-action series from Schneider, Noah Munck is cast on a recently greenlit pilot, while Jerry Trainor lands a role on "Wendell & Vinnie" from producers Jay Kogen and Aaron Kaplan.

iCarly: TV Series Ending; No Season Six

All good things must come to an end. Nickelodeon has announced that iCarly is ending after five seasons but there’s a big finish in the works.

Starring Drake & Josh's Miranda Cosgrove, iCarly follows teenager Carly Shay as she creates a successful web series with the help of her best friends, Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie (Nathan Kress). Noah Munck is another good friend, Gibby, and Jerry Trainor plays Spencer, Carly’s older brother and legal guardian.

We suspected that the show might be getting ready to end when iCarly was renewed for a fifth season in April 2011. Though iCarly is one of the most popular shows on cable, the series was renewed for just 13 episodes. Like all shows about teens growing up, the actors eventually start to outgrow their roles and it’s time to move on.

Cosgrove plans to attend USC in the fall. McCurdy will star in another Dan Schneider series and Munck has a new pilot, both with Nickelodeon. The cable channel has also ordered a new series called Wendell & Vinnie in which Trainor will play a goofball uncle to a conservative 12-year-old.

To end the iCarly series, the cast and crew will film a special sometime next month and Nickelodeon plans to will air in November.

Of the show ending, Schneider told TV Guide, “Everyone at iCarly has been like family to me for five years... When we film our very last scene, there will be a lot of crying, I know. But I also know that in television, you don’t want to over-stay your welcome. I want to go out the way we are — on a creative high-note.”

Though there won’t be any new episodes after November’s finale, iCarly will continue to air on Nickelodeon in reruns.

What do you think? Are you sorry that iCarly is ending? Would you like to see the characters return someday?

Nickelodeon show 'iCarly' to end after 5 years

Popular Nickelodeon show "iCarly," starring Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy, is set to end later this year after five years.

The cable network confirmed the news on its website on Thursday. The cast members of the half-hour comedy series are set to film a special "iCarly" television event that will air in November, according to TVGuide.com.

Dan Schneider, the show's creator and executive producer, is expecting the end to be highly emotional.

"Everyone at iCarly has been like family to me for five years," Schneider told the website. "When we film our very last scene, there will be a lot of crying, I know. But I also know that in television, you don't want to over-stay your welcome. I want to go out the way we are - on a creative high-note."

Schneider often Tweets photos of the cast, re-Tweets his fans and expresses his love for the show.

"Lovin' being in New York with the cast of iCarly!!! :)" he Tweeted [on his official Twitter] on May 17.

Cosgrove celebrated her 19th birthday in the city with her cast mates three days earlier, Tweeting [on her official Twitter profile page]: "NYC! Hanging with the most fun people I know :)"

Cosgrove and McCurdy were about 13 and 14 when "iCarly" debuted in 2007. The two play two best friends Carly and Sam. Carly hosts a popular webcast with her pals. Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor also star in the show as her friend and brother.

"iCarly" has featured a string of celebrity guests including Jack Black, who starred with Cosgrove in the film "School of Rock," as well as Jane Lynch and bands One Direction, Plain White T's and Good Charlotte. In January 2012, first lady Michelle Obama appeared on the show to raise awareness to an initiative called Joining Forces, which helps support and honor the nation's military families.

Cosgrove's character is the daughter of an Air Force Colonel deployed overseas. On the episode, Obama revealed that her daughters are fans of the show.

Cosgrove announced earlier this year that she plans to start college in the fall and put her acting career on hold. She told MTV News she will attend the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and major in theatre. The other stars of "iCarly" have already booked new acting projects.

"Jennette McCurdy's got her very own show in the works, with iCarly creator, Dan Schneider," Nickelodeon announced on its website. Nathan Kress already landed his first movie role in 'Game of Your Life' and is looking forward to taking on a bundle of new characters. Noah Munck has also got a new role in the works, starring in yet another show created by Dan Schneider."

Schneider has created a slew of successful kid and teen programs, such as "Drake & Josh," which also featured Cosgrove, "Victorious," "Zoey 101," "All That" and "Kenan & Kel."

"Jerry Trainor is set to star in a brand new pilot, 'Wendell and Vinnie,' playing the goofy guardian to his uptight boy genius nephew," the cable network's statement added. "So, just because the show is coming to an end, doesn't mean you can't continue to watch these awesome stars while sporting your Penny-T for life. We know we will..."

11 11, En Mi Cuadra Nada Cuadra is an original idea from renown Peruvian film director / producer Luis Llosa and Pablo Vazquez and follows Kike, a 14 year old boy with a passion for cutting-edge technology. This passion becomes especially important when he and his family move into Building 11 11, a mysterious structure. Thanks to the building's unique qualities, whenever Kike falls asleep he has the ability to come to life as Enrique, a 20 year old version of himself that interacts with the real world like any other person. With Enrique's help, Kike sets out on a double mission: to find his missing mother and to win the heart of beautiful Sandra, an aspiring young actress and singer who lives in the same building.

The novela's ensemble cast includes Patricio Gallardo as Kike, Alberich Bormann as Enrique and Thali Garcia as Sandra, amongst others.

11 11, en Mi Cuadra Nada Cuadra will be shot on-set and on location in Miami and will be produced in Spanish and customized to Portuguese for Nickelodeon Brazil. The network has commissioned 75, 1-hour episodes in high definition and anticipates a pan-regional premiere in Fall 2012.
