Nickelodeon's "Peter Rabbit" Wins Two Awards At The 2016 Daytime Emmy Awards

Peter Rabbit wins two Emmy Awards

New York, London – 3 May 2016

Silvergate Media ("Silvergate"), the international TV production and licensing company focused on pre-school children's entertainment based in New York and London, is thrilled to announce that Peter Rabbit, its 3D Computer-generated imagery animated TV series for pre-schoolers has won two Daytime Emmy awards.


Peter Rabbit won the Outstanding Special Class Animated Program award and also won the Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation award (Storyboard Artist, Benjamin Sanders). Peter Rabbit was also nominated for Outstanding Direction in an Animated Program.

Peter Rabbit was developed by Silvergate and Penguin Books. Beatrix Potter's classic character, Peter Rabbit, returned to the screen in 2013, in a brand new 3D animation series for Nickelodeon (Nick Jr) and the BBC (CBeebies).

When the series launched on Nick Jr in 2013, it hopped to the top of the charts delivering 1.7 million viewers. The premiere also ranks as Nick's highest-rated preschool series premiere since 2011.


Since its debut in 2013, Peter Rabbit has won a number of Emmys, with this new award being its sixth.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter was first published in 1901, and has never been out of print since. Over the course of its 110-year history, it has sold more than 250 million copies, been translated into 35 different languages, and led to one of the world's oldest licensed product ranges. In partnership with co-producers Nickelodeon and publishers Frederick Warne, Silvergate has developed Peter Rabbit into a new 3D Computer-generated imagery (CGI) animated TV series for preschoolers.

The new animation is an inspiring and playful re-imagining of Beatrix Potter's timeless children's classic. Mischievous, charming and brave, Peter is a hero who overcomes obstacles, outwits predators and avoids danger as he embarks on a series of exciting adventures with his best friends Benjamin and Lily.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", "Paw Patrol" And "Peppa Pig" Receive Nominations In 2016 International Licensing Awards

As the global toy industry comes off a record-setting sales year, where licensed goods were undoubtedly a major Force, trade association LIMA has announced its nominees of the 2016 International Licensing Awards, which include a raft of nominations the hit Nickelodeon properties Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Paw Patrol and the popular and Nick Jr. UK property Peppa Pig!


According to LIMA, the licensing industry continues to be dominated by five major sectors: Character & entertainment, corporate trademarks, sports, fashion and collegiate.

The winners will be announced at an annual awards ceremony, which will be held on Tuesday 21st June 2016 during Licensing Expo in Las Vegas!

About the department:

Nickelodeon UK's Creative Services department is responsible for the channel's on-air promotions, presentation and design, as well as the creation of marketing, client advertisements, sales tapes and cross channel promotions, whilst ensuring all campaigns are creatively aligned across digital and print. The Creative services department must ensure that Nickelodeon, Nicktoons and Nick Jr. deliver on their individual brand promises, while driving ratings and brand affinity.

The role:

The Creative Manager is responsible for all Nickelodeon creative on-network and off-network - working closely with the producers, graphics designers, print/digital designers, props and set designers to craft the Nickelodeon environment to be on-brand, meet goals and entertain and/or inform kids. A pivotal role within the creative department, which provides on and off air campaigns, promotions, packaging, design and branding for Nick UK's channel portfolio. The role will be based in London.

* Leading the creative development for all promo, stunts and 360 campaigns

* A driving force for Nickelodeon's creative integrity and ensuring all activity builds on Nickelodeon's brand architecture

* Maintain and continually enhance Nickelodeon's strong creative style and voice to a brief that will enhance the brand everywhere kids are

* Approve all on and off air campaign creative before leaving the department

* Attend/lead taskforce

* Maximise use of international campaigns

* Work with other departments to provide creative direction on localisation of content, such as re-voicing on programs

What will you need to succeed:

Dora's Pirate Adventure opens at du Forum, Yas Island on May 12th to 14th.


Dora's Pirate Adventure incorporates the interactive and educational elements that make Dora the Explorer one of the most popular shows on television. Live shows allow Nickelodeon to bring experiential entertainment to the stage for kids and families.

Join Dora and her friends as they embark on an exciting trip to Treasure Island in search of the ultimate pirate party. Nickelodeon UK Unveils Four Brand-New "Short Toons" For May 2016

New month, new toons! Nickelodeon UK and Ireland has unveiled the latest batch of freshly selected Short Toons on their official Nicktoons website and award-winning Nick Play app!


What could be better than even more side-splittingly funny cartoons, online and free whenever you fancy a chuckle?

Covering topics as varied as video games, zombie siblings and port-a-loo-loving Meerkats, developed shorts from the 2014 edition of Nickelodeon's world renowned Global Animated Shorts Programme are currently rolling out on nicktoons.co.uk and Nick Play App. Four of the funniest shorts will be available to view at any one time and, on the Nicktoons site, viewers will be able to show their appreciation for the creative work by selecting the "vote" button.
