Chrissy Teigen Trolls Husband John Legend Over His Tony Nomination For 'SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical'

Chrissy Teigen previously joked that her Grammy-winning husband never tells her anything.

And now the Lip Sync Battle host proved she wasn't lying when she made her comments on The Ellen Show earlier this year after she trolled her husband John Legend following his Tony Award nomination on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old model, who is currently pregnant with their second child, took to Twitter to share her shock over John's nod for Best Original Score for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical.

Playfully acknowledging his Tony nod, which was listed under 'various contributors', the Lip Sync Battle host joked that John never told her about his foray into musicals.

She wrote: "John got nominated for a Tony this morning for a song he apparently wrote for SpongeBob SquarePants.

"Why does he not tell me when he writes spongebob songs?? What else is he lying about?? Are there other songs out there."

And Chrissy's tweet gained thousands responses most notably from the stage, who joked they were 'hurt' he didn't tell her.

The official Twitter account for the musical responded: "He never told you about us?!?!?!? Wow, John... we’re kinda hurt. But also, CONGRATS!!!!!"

The musical which is based on the hit Nickelodeon animated series, and made its Broadway debut at the Palace Theatre on in December 2017 and has received 12 nominations at the upcoming 72nd Tony Awards, making it the most nominated Broadway show this season.

The stage show features songs by a number of well-known artists including Cyndi Lauper, David Bowie, Panic! at the Disco, Sara Bareilles, T.I., Plain White T's, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry as well as Chrissy's beau John.

Award-winning singer-songwriter John, who is one Emmy away from an EGOT, wrote "(I Guess I) Miss You" for the musical which is sung by SpongeBob and his pal Patrick.

This is John's second Tony nomination after he previously won a coveted award at last year's ceremony for co-producing the revival of August Wilson’s play, Jitney.

Chrissy's hilarious commentary comes after she tried and failed to answer very basic questions about her husband in a hilarious segment with Ellen DeGeneres. In February, she appeared on Ellen's show and admitted she hasn't watched Selma, the 2014 movie for which John co-wrote an Academy-Award-winning song. "We're going to play a game with you," Ellen announced in response to Chrissy's revelation, "because you've not seen Selma and I don't know what else you don't know about your husband."

During the game, "You don't know Jack about John", Chrissy revealed that "he doesn't tell me about things he's producing. We went to Sundance and he was like, "Oh, we're showing my movie" and I was like, "Your movie? What are you talking about?"'

Isabela Moner to Play Dora in Paramount's New Live-Action 'Dora the Explorer' Movie

Paramount Pictures has found its Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-Dora the Explorer!

Isabela Moner, last seen on the big screen in Transformers: The Last Knight with Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Hopkins, will headline the studio’s live-action Dora the Explorer movie, Paramount announced Wednesday.

The live-action theatrical feature will follow a teenage Dora on an adventure while she is accompanied by her best friend, the monkey Boots, and her cousin Diego. It will be based on the long-running hit Nickelodeon animated preschool series.

Moner, 16, has appeared in Nickelodeon’s 100 Things to Do Before High School comedy series, Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie, and voiced the character Kate in Nickelodeon's 2014 Dora the Explorer animated spinoff Dora and Friends: Into the City!. She has also lent her voice to The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature. She’ll soon be seen opposite Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin in Sicario 2: Day of the Soldado.

“I’m honored and excited to bring Dora to life,” Moner said in a statement. “I grew up watching the show, and for me, especially as a Latina, Dora was an amazing role model — she is a strong, adventurous, and fun-loving girl. I can’t wait to put on the backpack and begin her next adventure!”

James Bobin will direct from a screenplay by Nick Stoller, the writer-director behind films including The Muppets, Zoolander 2 and Neighbors, and Danielle Sanchez-Witzel. The movie hails from Paramount's new Paramount Players division. Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes label and his partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are producing the flick, although Michael Bay is not thought to be directly involved with the movie.

“We are thrilled to have found our Dora in Isabela,” Brian Robbins, president of Paramount Players, said. “Dora has long been a celebrated, strong heroine in animated television, and like Dora, Isabela has an incredible spirit and is an advocate for positive values. With our partners at Nickelodeon, we look forward to continuing Dora’s story for generations to come.”

Moner, who is repped by CAA and Peikoff Mahan, will also star in the studio's upcoming family comedy Instant Family, alongside Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne.

Dora the Explorer will shoot in Queensland, Australia, and is scheduled for release Aug. 2, 2019.

Nickelodeon Germany and Nicknight Enjoy Successful April 2018

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Germany Switzerland Austria (GSA) has announced the exciting news that many of Viacom's brands, including Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland) and its nighttime programming block, Nicknight, significantly increased their market shares in April 2018!

Nickelodeon (Nick) enjoyed its strongest month since June 2017, and was able to place itself as the second strongest commercial children's channel in Germany for several days, just behind Super RTL, in April 2018. Overall, Nickelodeon recorded a peak market share of 8.1% in the channels core target group of kids aged 3-13 years old, representing a 7% increase of over the same month last year, and a 7% increase from March 2018. Nickelodeon Deutschland's great ratings were helped by Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2018: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz, in which Nick invited 1,000 kids to Europa-Park, Germany's largest amusement park, to honour their favourite local stars and heroes with coveted Orange Blimps. Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2018: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz was recorded live and broadcast a couple of days later on Nickelodeon Deutschland, Nickelodeon Austria (Österreich) and Nickelodeon Switzerland (Schweiz) during early April 2018. Including repeats, the special was watched by 0.42 million children aged between 3-13 across all devices. The initial broadcast on Sunday 8th April 2018 even outpaced all competition among within the 9-14 year-olds demographic, making the programme the market leader in children's channels with a market share of 19.3%!

Also garnering strong ratings for Nickelodeon Deutschland in April 2018 were Nickelodeon's roster of hit shows, including The Loud House (with a market share of up to 29%), Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn and Hunter Street season two, as well as the hit Nickelodeon Original Movies Blurt! and Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library.

Nicknight, nighttime programming block for teens, also delivered strong ratings in April 2018, garnering a hefty 1.6% market share in the 14-to 29-year-olds demographic, representing a whopping 59% increase over the same month last year, and a 15% increase over March 2018. Nicknights impressive ratings were helped by long-time Nickelodeon favourites, including Victorious, SpongeBob SquarePants and Drake & Josh.

Comedy Central Deutschland, the only free-to-air comedy channel in Germany, also experienced great ratings gains in April 2018.

Currently in its third season, The Loud House made its world debut on Nickelodeon USA on Monday 2nd May 2016. The series was recently renewed for a fourth season, and a spin-off series, tentatively titled Los Casagrandes, which will follow Ronnie Anne and Bobby Santiago, two of the Loud's friends, as they adjust to their new life in the city, where they now live with their big, loving and chaotic multi-generational family, the Casagrandes, is currently in development. The Loud House is produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank, Calif.

Phoebe Heyerdahl | Hey Arnold! | APAHM | Nickelodeon Animation

Celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with one of the first Asian-American characters in Nicktoons history, Phoebe Heyerdahl from Hey Arnold! Nickelodeon Animation partnered with the Nick Archives team to show a behind-the-scenes look of the development of her character (voiced by Anndi McAfee), who debuted in the first episode, “Downtown as Fruits,” on October 7th, 1996. In the words of creator Craig Bartlett, “I just thought it was time for an ethnically/gender diverse cast on a cartoon show. I knew I wanted to set it in the big city, and my experience living in LA in particular was like that: a big gumbo of different cultures, all living side by side.”
