Invader ZIM Lands At LEGO CUUSOO

Calling all "Invader ZIM" fans! - A talented designer called 'BuggyIrk' has submitted a LEGO set based on Nickelodeon's cult animated series "Invader ZIM" to Lego's Cuusoo program, and the project needs your support to be made into an official LEGO set!

The project has already caught the eye of several key production staff and voice actors who produced and gave characters in the show their distinctive voices, including Jhonen Vasquez, the creator of "Invader ZIM", Louie del Carmen, a storyboard supervisor on the show, Kevin Manthei, who provided musical composition for the series, Richard Horvitz, the voice of ZIM, Rikki Simons, the voice of GIR, Mo Collins, the voice of Zita, and Tom Croom, the voice of InvaderCon Mastermind.

Included in the LEGO Invader ZIM set will be mini-figures of ZIM, GIR and Dib, a flying Pig, a Voot Cruiser, and Zim's house, complete with a Voot roof storage compartment, the front lawn, a kitchen, and internal pipes!

The LEGO Invader ZIM project needs 10,000 supporters before LEGO designers and executives can review it! To show your support, simply visit the projects official page on lego.cuusoo.com and click on the big green 'Support' button at the top!

The "Invader ZIM" LEGO Cuusoo project is a collaboration between BuggyIrk and his wife, jiminyc.

If successful, the LEGO Invader ZIM playset will include the following minifigures:

* 1 ZIM minifigure with 2 heads (a alien form head and a human disguise head) complete with his backpack/life support unit. The legs that will be used will be the mini legs, not the bendable hip joint ones as Zim is supposed to be the size of a child.

* 2 GIR micro minifigures (one in robot form and the other of GIR wearing his dog disguise) and a big plate of waffles. "These ones got peanuts and soap in 'em!" – The accessory is inspired from the episode "Zim eats waffles". Using micro minifigures for GIR will make him the perfect size compared to Zim.

* 1 Dib minifigure with binoculars and notepad. "Time for some serious notes!" – Dib's accessories are inspired from the episode "Dib's Wonderful Life of Doom". The legs that will be used will be the mini legs, not the bendable hip joint ones since Dib is supposed to be the size of a child.

* Now with brick built flyin' pig! (BONUS accessory)

* Voot Cruiser with enough space inside for Zim and Gir to stand. The engines will also be rotatable and there is a printed Irken symbol on the back of the ship. The cockpit will also have a computer console for manual control of the Voot.

* Zim's house with opening roof to store Voot. The house will also have opening sides for playability inside. The original version featured power absorbing pipes on the sides, but due to ease of playability with the opening sides, part count and aesthetics, they had to be changed to include power absorbing pipe stickers (or printed pieces).

* Voot roof storage compartment includes pipes, computer screens and a landing pad. There is also a clear docking station so the Voot appears to be floating and locks in place so you can play inside the house without it moving around.

* Front Lawn with 4 gnomes, an "I heart Earth!" sign and a fence.

* Living room of the house will feature a couch with the green monkey picture above it, big screen TV with "The Scary Monkey Show" displayed as well as alien pipes and vents in the ceiling.

* Kitchen will include a opening refrigerator and oven, toilet with chain for flushing Zim to his underground base. As well as an "I eat food!" picture above the toilet. There will also a table for Zim and Gir to eat the waffles.

The LEGO Invader ZIM set is about 930 pieces. This means that in it's current state, it would be the biggest Cuusoo set LEGO has ever produced. However, if this is approved after the review phase, LEGO will build the final model and they may decide to reduce the part count or eliminate elements.

If popular, the Invader ZIM LEGO set will will follow other CuuSoo sets such Ghostbusters, the Mars Rover Curiosity and a limited edition Back To The Future DeLorean.

The Birmingham Mail Interviews Nick Jr. UK And "The Go!Go!Go! Show" Star Carl Tracey

To celebrate Nick Jr. UK and Ireland's "The Go!Go!Go! Show" performing in Birmingham and Leamington Spa Assembly this Spring as part of the popular family musical act's tour of the UK called "Go!Go!Go! Live!" and the release of the bands brand-new CD and DVD combo called "Radio Go!Go!Go!" on Monday 7th April 2014, the British regional tabloid newspaper the Birmingham Mail has unveiled a exclusive interview they recently held with band member Carl Tracey, which you can read below!

"Go!Go!Go! Live!" will perform at Birmingham Town Hall on Wednesday 16th April 2014. For tickets simply ring 0121 345 0600 or visit www.thsh.co.uk. "Go!Go!Go! Live!" will also play at the Leamington Spa Assembly on Thursday 17th April 2014:
The Go!Go!Go! Show comes to Birmingham Town Hall

On your marks, get set, go go go for the new Steps, writes Roz Laws

The Go!Go!Go! Show

They're an all-singing, all-dancing group who live on the islands of Baffadopolis and have a cuddly sidekick called the Fluffalope who eats socks.

Meet the band from The Go!Go!Go! Show, who could also be called Steps: The Next Generation.

They were formed by Steve Crosby, who created Steps, and Mike Stock of Stock, Aitken and Waterman fame.

They are seen every day on the Nickelodeon TV channel Nick Jr – and their aim is to bring good clean fun to children throughout the land.

Carl Tracey, 27, is the one who dresses in yellow and wears hats and bow ties. The Tamworth-born performer explains: "The music scene has changed so much now – think about stars like Miley Cyrus and Rihanna, who have sexualised pop.

"We want to create music that kids can listen to with their parents.

"We sing original pop music created by Mike Stock, who has such an amazing pedigree having worked with everyone from Rick Astley to Donna Summer.

"We record in a studio surrounded by platinum discs. Even in the loo there’s a Kylie gold record!

"Our fans are all ages, from under fives to teenagers. And we seem to be a bit of a guilty pleasure for parents, who tell us they are looking forward to the CD release more than their children." The Go!Go!Go! Show videos feature throughout the day on Nick Jr, though there are three favourite times.

In the morning they get children up by singing Wake Up Smiling, at lunchtime they’re filmed eating a picnic and singing Choices, and then in the evening they sing Hey There Sleepyhead.

They will feature, along with other tracks, on a forthcoming CD/DVD package called Radio Go!Go!Go!

The five members of the band are joined by Mr Baffled, who lives on the islands of Baffadopolis and is assisted by the creature Fluffalope who lives on socks. "If you’ve ever wondered why you have odd socks, it’s his fault," explains Carl. Carl has been involved in the show since the beginning, along with fellow Midlander Jade Natalie, from Wolverhampton.

They began five years ago doing a live show in Leicester Square Theatre in the West End, then had a show during the summer at Alton Towers.

Then it was back into a bigger theatre in London followed by fame on Nickelodeon. Now they are embarking on a UK tour which includes Birmingham and Leamington Spa. "I'm really looking forward to the tour and meeting fans, getting them up singing and dancing," said Carl, a former pupil of Wilnecote High School in Tamworth, who started acting in Youth Onstage and BMOS Musical Theatre Company in Birmingham.

"All my family are coming to see me in Birmingham."

* The Go!Go!Go! Show comes to Birmingham Town Hall on April 16. For tickets ring 0121 345 0600 or go to www.thsh.co.uk . It also plays Leamington Spa Assembly on April 17.
