Nickelodeon Spain And Parque de Atracciones de Madrid To Open Nickelodeonland On Wednesday 30th April 2014

Nickelodeon Spain (Espana) has announced the very exciting Nickelodeon Europe News in a post on their official Facebook profile page, Facebook.com/NickelodeonES, that Nickelodeon Spain and Parque de Atracciones de Madrid (Madrid Amusement Park), a popular theme park in the Spanish city of Madrid, located in la Casa de Campo (Park Country House), specifically in the area of Batán, will open their brand-new Nickelodeon-branded attraction, Nickelodeonland, on Wednesday 30th April 2014, and to celebrate, the opening ceremony will include a very special performance by the Spanish girlband Sweet California, who will also be holding a Twitter Q&A session especially for NickHeads!


Nickelodeonland is a brand-new family area at Parque de Atracciones de Madrid, where parents can enjoy a family day out with their children, who will be able to visit all-new Nickelodeon attractions based on Nickelodeon's hit shows. SpongeBob SquarePants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora the Explorer, Rugrats, the Fairly OddParents and many more Nickelodeon friends will be waiting at Nickelodeonland! Nickelodeon Land Spain will also feature a Nickelodeon Shop, games, a Nickelodeon themed restaurant, interactive shows starring Nick's biggest stars and lots and lots of Nickelodeon's trademark green slime.

Nickelodeon USA Nets 15th Consecutive Weekly Win With Kids And Total Viewers

Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced in the following press release, from TVByTheNumbers.com, the exciting Nickelodeon News that Nick USA closed the third week of April 2014 (Monday 14th to Sunday 20th April 2014) as the number-one basic cable network in total day with Kids 2-11 (2.7/869K, up +4% over a year ago) and total viewers (1.6M), collecting its 15th consecutive weekly win!


The network's weekly ratings win was driven by strong performances from its hit programming across animation and preschool. "SpongeBob SquarePants" was the number-one series with Kids 2-11 for the week, averaging a 4.6/1.5M (+35% over a year ago).

Nickelodeon also swept with its slate of hit preschool shows, landing the top five series with Kids 2-5. "PAW Patrol" came in first place with preschoolers, averaging a 8.1/1.0M (+76%); "Wallykazam!" placed second with a 7.1/880K (+61%) rating; "Team Umizoomi" ranked third with a 7.0/865K (+59%); "Bubble Guppies" was fourth with a 6.8/840K (+33%) average; and "Dora the Explorer" secured the fifth spot averaging a 6.3/776K (+5%).

Additionally, Nickelodeon's niche nets posted double and triple-digit year over year gains with their core demos for the week. Nicktoons averaged 226K total viewers (+65%) and posted a 0.6/84K with Kids 6-11 (+100%) and a 0.8/59K with Boys 6-11 (+100%). TeenNick averaged a 0.5/76K with Teens 12-17 (+150%) and 233K total viewers.
