Nickelodeon UK Announces Nick Jr. UK's Spring/Summer 2014 Programming Highlights

The animation news website Toon Zone is reporting the very exciting Nickelodeon UK News that Nickelodeon UK, the number one commercial kids TV network in the UK, has unveiled Nick Jr. UK and Ireland's Spring/Summer 2014 programming highlights!


As part of Nick Jr. UK's Spring/Summer 2014 schedules, Nickelodeon UK's preschool channel will be premiering a whole range of brand-new shows and all-new episodes of established shows. As previously reported, in addition to Nickelodeon's brand-new CG-animated preschool series "Zack & Quack", which debuted on Nick Jr. UK on Friday 7th February 2014, Nick Jr. UK will premiere the channels brand-new mixed media animated preschool series "Driftwood Bay" in May 2014.


"Driftwood Bay" (52 x 7 minute episodes) is a all-new preschool series about a little five-year-old girl named Lily (Orlagh O'Keefe from Belfast) who lives in a beach hut on the shore with her Dad (Richard Dormer). Everyday, the sea washes up a curious new treasure, which sparks Lily's imagination about what might be happening 'across the way on Driftwood Bay'. And so, with her best friend Gull - the clever seagull (Paul Currie), an adventure begins as they head off to Driftwood Bay – and its cast of colourful inhabitants. A stellar line-up of voice talent who will be joining forces and lending their voices to breathe life into the adorable characters of "Driftwood Bay" was recently announced, including Stephen Fry ("QI" ("Quite Interesting"), "The Hobbit", "Blackadder"), Peter Mullan ("Harry Potter", "Top of the Lake"), Tameka Empson ("EastEnders", "3 Non-Blondes"), Jane Horrocks ("Sunshine on Leith", "Absolutely Fabulous"), Ardal O'Hanlon ("Father Ted", "London Irish", "My Hero"), Annette Crosbie ("One Foot in the Grave", "Hope Springs") and Richard Dormer ("Game of Thrones", "Good Vibrations", "Fortitude").

Nick Jr. UK will also be premiering brand-new episodes of "Lalaloopsy", "Paw Patrol" and "Dinosaur Train" in March 2014, "Bubble Guppies" during April and May 2014 and "Team Umizoomi" in June 2014.

The animation news website Toon Zone is reporting the very exciting Nickelodeon UK News that Nickelodeon UK, the number one commercial kids TV network in the UK, has unveiled Nicktoons UK and Ireland's Spring/Summer 2014 animated programming highlights!


As part of Nicktoons UK's Spring/Summer 2014 highlights, in addition to the previously debuted "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" season two, "Rabbids: Invasion" and "Monsters vs. Aliens", Nick UK's animation and action channel will be premiering brand-new episodes of "Fairly OddParents" in March 2014, "Sanjay and Craig" in April 2014, "Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness" in May 2014 and "T.U.F.F. Puppy" during June 2014!

Nickelodeon UK has also confirmed that they will start to broadcast the all-new 26-episode sixth season of the popular animated television series "Winx Club" very soon!

Nickelodeon UK To Premiere Brand-New "Sam & Cat" Special "#TheKillerTunaJump" On Monday 10th March 2014

The online British and Irish TV guide website Digiguide is reporting the very exciting Nick UK news that Nickelodeon UK and Ireland and Nickelodeon HD UK, the number one commercial kids TV network in the UK, will premiere and show the brand-new one-hour special episode of Nick's original buddy comedy series "Sam & Cat" titled "#TheKillerTunaJump: #Freddie #Jade #Robbie" on Monday 10th March 2014! Nick UK & Eire will air "The Killer Tuna Jump" in two parts, and premiere Part One at 5:00pm and debut Part Two at 5:30pm (replayed at 6:00pm and 6:30pm on Nick UK's plus-one timeshift channel, Nick+1).


In the brand-new "Sam & Cat" special, in which Nickelodeon Stars Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande reunite with their former "iCarly" and "Victorious" co-stars Nathan Kress, Matt Bennett and Elizabeth Gillies, who will be reprising their characters from "iCarly" and "VICTORiOUS", of which "Sam & Cat" is a spin-off from - Freddie Benson, Robbie Shapiro and Jade West, respectively, despite Cat's fear of a personality clash, Jade (Cat's good friend from Hollywood Arts) and Sam meet and hit it off like old friends, leaving Cat feeling left out. Nona (Maree Cheatham) advises Cat that where she comes from, if someone steals your friend, you steal one of theirs. Cat takes this to heart and takes Sam's phone to call Freddie, Sam's hometown friend and ex-love in Seattle. She lies to Freddie and gets him to rush down to LA under the guise that Sam has been in an accident. When Freddie arrives at the girls' apartment, he finds himself in the middle of a roommate quarrel. In order to even the score, Sam befriends Cat's dear friend, Robbie, and the girls' jealousy spirals out of control. Sam also learns that she has to jump over a tank full of vicious man-eating tuna fish with her motorcycle. The special will also see actress Mary Scheer reprise her character role of Marissa Benson, Freddie's Mom.
