Nickelodeon USA Wins November 2014 With Kids Fueled By Hit Live-Action Slate

Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced the exciting Nickelodeon Ratings News in the following press release, from Nickelodeon's Kids and Family Press Site, NickPress.com, that Nick USA marked its fourth consecutive month as the top basic cable network in total day, winning November with kids 2-11 (2.3/698K)! Nickelodeon's performance was powered by its robust portfolio of best-in-class programming.


Additionally, Nickelodeon USA capped off the month of November with a weekly win (Monday 24th to Sunday 30th November 2014), scoring the number-one spot on basic cable in total day with kids 2-11 (2.5/759K). Nickelodeon USA's niche networks also posted double-digit year over year gains for the month, with Nicktoons up +48% with kids 6-11 and TeenNick up +18% with its core teen 12-17 demo.

NEW YORK – Dec. 3, 2014 – Nickelodeon marked its fourth consecutive month as the top basic cable network in total day, winning November with kids 2-11 (2.3/698K). Nick’s performance was powered by its robust portfolio of best-in-class live-action shows.

With kids 2-11, the network swept the top three spots with Henry Danger (4.7/1.4M) leading the comedic trio, followed by Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn (4.4/1.3M) in second and The Thundermans (4.2/1.3M) in third. Also, The Haunted Hathaways gave the network the top four live-action series for the month with kids 2-11, coming in fourth place with a 3.7/1.1M average. With Kids k-11, Nick's live-action slate once again dominated, as Henry Danger (6.3/1.2M), Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn (6.0/1.1M), The Thundermans (5.9/1.1M) and The Haunted Hathaways (5.3/990K) netted the top four spots, respectively.

The net also scored basic cable's top two kids' programs with total viewers for November, with SpongeBob SquarePants landing the number-one spot (2.6M), followed by Henry Danger (2.4M). Nickelodeon's niche nets also posted double-digit year over year gains for the month, with Nicktoons up +48% with kids 6-11 and TeenNick up +18% with its core teen 12-17 demo.

Additionally, Nickelodeon capped off the month of November with a weekly win (11/24/14-11/30/14), scoring the number-one spot on basic cable in total day with kids 2-11 (2.5/759K). The premiere of Santa Hunters (Friday, Nov. 28, 7:00 p.m. ET/PT), the network's brand-new original TV movie, was the week's number-one telecast with kids 2-11, averaging a 5.8/1.8M and drawing 3.0M total viewers.

To celebrate the festive season, Nickelodeon UK and Ireland's preschool channel, Nick Jr. UK and Ireland, has launched a brand-new initiative called "Crafty Christmas", where, throughout December 2014, Nick Jr. will be bringing viewers a wide selection of festive craft activities that will help preschoolers countdown to the big day!


Launched on Monday 1st December 2014, Nick Jr.'s Crafty Christmas features a wide range of exclusive video tutorials presented by Johanna from her Nick Jr. workshop. In each video, Johanna will help and inspire you to create magical festive crafts based around favourite Nick Jr. characters, including "Peppa Pig", "Ben and Holly" and "Dora" in easy step-by-step tutorials. Each tutorial can also be downloaded as a PDF document for printing.

Everyone knows Santa Claus - white beard, red coat, belly that jiggles like a bowl of jelly, right? But what do we REALLY know about him? That's what the Santa Hunters are trying to find out. In Nickelodeon's brand-new Christmas-themed Original Nickelodeon TV Movie "Santa Hunters", Alex (Benjamin Flores, Jr.), his younger sister Elizabeth (Laya DeLeon Hayes), and his cousins Zoey (Breanna Yde) and Richard (Mace Coronel) go on a mission to catch Ol' Saint Nick in action Christmas night and rig up an elaborate setup of traps and video equipment to catch Santa Claus on video tape. However, their Santa stakeout has unintended consequences - when they see Santa, he begins to lose his Christmas magic. The kids have to protect the tape to save Christmas, and they learn that believing is more important than seeing. Can they save Christmas? You'll just have to wait and see!

Nickelodeon Germany Announces Nicknight's Winter 2014/2015 Highlights; Nicknight Closes November 2014 With 1.3 Per Cent Market Share

Viacom International Media Networks Northern Europe has announced the exciting Nickelodeon International news in the following press release, from VIMN North's newsroom on cision.com, that Nickelodeon Germany's (Deutschland) Nicknight programming block closed the month of November 2014 with a market share of 1.3 percent, and has already reached day-to-peak values ​​of up to 2.8 percent! Popular shows on Nicknight in November 2014 included brand-new season ten episodes of "Degrassi", "Awkward – My So-Called Life", and the classic Nickelodeon shows "Drake & Josh" and "Zoey 101".


VIMN North has also announced Nicknight's 2014/2015 winter programming highlights in the same press release, which include a raft of brand-new shows and all-new episodes!

Starting in December 2014, Nicknight will host the German premiere of Nick at Nite USA's first original scripted family comedy series "See Dad Run" on Monday 8th December 2014 at 9:00pm.

Two very different brand-new shows will join Nicknight's programming line-up in January 2015: Nicknight will start to premiere Nick at Nite's award-winning hit family comedy series "Instant Mom" from Saturday 10th January 2015, and start to show the MTV reality series "Plain Jane International" from Monday 12th January 2015. Following on in February 2015, MTV's mockumentary-style American comedy television series "My Life as Liz" will enrich the Nicknight line-up from Saturday 21st February 2015.

Nicknight will get their dancing shoes on in March 2015 with the premiere of the Canadian teen drama series "The Next Step" on Monday 30th March 2015. Plus, Nicknight will start to air "Faking It" from Saturday 21st March 2015.

Additionally, to celebrate Nicknight premiering the season ten finale episode "Degrassi" on Friday 12th December 2014 at 10:15pm (22:15 Uhr), Nicknight will be holding a special live Twitter event every night at 22:15 Uhr between Monday 8th and Friday 12th December 2014 in which fans can Tweet their viewers about that nights episode using the special custom hashtag #nicknight_degrassi for the opportunity to have their messages appear on screen.

Der am 1. Oktober gestartete Programmblock "Nicknight" schließt den Monat November 2014 mit einem Marktanteil von 1,3 Prozent* ab. Damit erreicht Nicknight bereits jetzt Tages-Spitzenwerte von bis zu 2,8 Prozent*. In diesem Programmblock, der ab 21.00 Uhr an den Start geht und sich an junge Erwachsene richtet, werden Deutschland- und Free-TV-Premieren aus dem Viacom-Portfolio sowie Akquisen ausgestrahlt. Besonders erfolgreich im Nicknight-Programm waren im November die Episodenpremieren der kanadischen Serie "Degrassi" sowie die Serien "Awkward – Mein so genanntes Leben", "Drake & Josh" und "Zoey 101".
