About STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS

Created by Emmy Award winner Mike McMahan (“Rick and Morty,” “Solar Opposites”), in season four of STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS, an unknown force is destroying starships and threatening galactic peace. Luckily, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos isn’t important enough for stuff like that! Instead, Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, Rutherford and Provisional Ensign T’Lyn are keeping up with their Starfleet duties, avoiding malevolent computers, and getting stuck in a couple caves– all while encountering new and classic aliens along the way.

The Starfleet crew residing in the “lower decks” of the U.S.S. Cerritos includes Ensign Beckett Mariner, voiced by Tawny Newsome; Ensign Brad Boimler, voiced by Jack Quaid; Ensign Tendi, voiced by Noël Wells; and Ensign Rutherford, voiced by Eugene Cordero. The Starfleet characters that comprise the U.S.S. Cerritos’ bridge crew include Captain Carol Freeman, voiced by Dawnn Lewis; Commander Jack Ransom, voiced by Jerry O’Connell; Lieutenant Shaxs, voiced by Fred Tatasciore; and Doctor T’Ana, voiced by Gillian Vigman.

Season four of STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS is produced by CBS’ Eye Animation Productions, CBS Studios’ animation arm; Secret Hideout; and Roddenberry Entertainment. Secret Hideout’s Alex Kurtzman, Roddenberry Entertainment’s Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth and Katie Krentz (219 Productions) serve as executive producers alongside creator and showrunner Mike McMahan. Aaron Baiers (“Secret Hideout”), who brought McMahan to the project, also serves as an executive producer. Titmouse (“Big Mouth”), the Emmy Award-winning independent animation production company, serves as the animation studio for the series.

STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS streams exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Latin America and is distributed concurrently by Paramount Global Content Distribution on Amazon Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Japan, India and more and in Canada, airs on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and streams on Crave. The series will also be available to stream on Paramount+ in the UK, Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and South Korea later this year.

Paramount+ to Premiere 'Star Trek: Prodigy' Season 2 During Winter 2023

Paramount+ has announced that Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 will premiere on the streaming service during 2023! Along with today's news, the streamer also unveiled a teaser poster for the new season!

Created by Kevin and Dan Hageman, the Children’s and Family Emmy Award-winning series is from Nickelodeon Animation and CBS Studios’ Eye Animation Productions.

Star Trek: Prodigy season 1 premiered in the fall of 2021 but broke up its 20 episodes into two halves, with the show's second set of 10 episodes released during fall 2022. In addition to streaming on Paramount Plus, the series airs on Nickelodeon. While Star Trek: Prodigy's goal is to bring new young viewers to the franchise, the CGI-animated Star Trek series received acclaim from fans of all ages.

What To Expect From Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2

Star Trek: Prodigy season 1 told an epic story of the show's six young alien heroes saving Starfleet and the galaxy from destruction. At the end of of season 1, Dal R'El (Brett Gray) and his friends were accepted into Starfleet as warrant officers under the supervision of Vice Admiral Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew). Prodigy season 1's finale set up intriguing directions for season 2, as Janeway must now lead a new mission into an alternate future to rescue the stranded Captain Chakotay (Robert Beltran), with Dal and the others coming along to help. Meanwhile, Gwyndala (Ella Purnell) is traveling to her homeworld of Solum to try to prevent the dark path her people, the Vau'Nakat, will take against Starfleet.

Star Trek: Prodigy surprised and delighted fans with its rich characters and exciting storytelling, as well as its multitude of Star Trek legacy guest stars. Famous faces from the past like Captain Thadiun Okona (Billy Campbell), Admiral Jellico (Ronny Cox), and others appeared in Prodigy season 1, and executive producers Kevin and Dan Hageman promise even more legacy characters will appear in season 2.

Prodigy has also become a sequel of sorts to Star Trek: Voyager; it not only re-established Admiral Janeway's lofty status in Starfleet, but it continues Janeway's relationship with Chakotay. The Hagemans have indicated they have plans for more seasons of Star Trek: Prodigy, and even a possible feature film. But it's good to know it won't be too long a wait until Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 returns later this year.

Paramount+ Unveils 'Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head' Season 2 Trailer

PARAMOUNT+ REVEALS OFFICIAL TRAILER FOR SECOND SEASON OF “MIKE JUDGE’S BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD”

From Creator Mike Judge and MTV Entertainment Studios, All-New Episodes Premiere Thursday, April 20

March 28, 2023 – Paramount+ today released the official trailer for season two of the adult animated series MIKE JUDGE’S BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD. The first two episodes will premiere on the service Thursday, April 20 in the U.S. and Canada, and in Australia and the U.K. on Friday, April 21, with further international markets to follow.

In the second season of MIKE JUDGE’S BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD, Beavis and Butt-Head triumphantly return as two guys who like things that are cool and don’t like things that suck.

Created and voiced by writer, producer and director Mike Judge, the characters of Beavis and Butt-Head originated in Judge’s 1992 short film “Frog Baseball,” which was broadcast by MTV’s animation showcase “Liquid Television.” After MTV commissioned a full series around the characters, “Beavis and Butt-Head” ran for seven seasons, from March 8, 1993 to Nov. 28, 1997. The series was revived in 2011 with an eighth season airing on MTV. During its initial run, “Beavis and Butt-Head” received widespread critical acclaim for its satirical, scathing commentary on society. The show’s popularity spawned various related media, including the theatrical film “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America” in 1996.

MIKE JUDGE’S BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD is executive-produced by Mike Judge, Lew Morton and Michael Rotenberg, and Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina and Antonio Canobbio for Titmouse.

Paramount+ also hosts the critically acclaimed Paramount+ original film BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD DO THE UNIVERSE, the 1996 classic movie “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America,” as well as remastered versions of the classic series.

Nickelodeon and Spin Master Celebrate 10th Anniversary of 'PAW Patrol' With Star-Studded Party

PAW Patrol is celebrating it's landmark 10th anniversary this year, and to celebrate, Nickelodeon and Spin Master threw a PAWsome party at Nickelodeon Studios in Burbank, Calif. on Saturday, March 25!

The star-studded event showcased how much Paw Patrol has impacted popular culture, bringing together both celebrity parents and their children to celebrate the beloved preschool series. Attendees got the chance to watch the brand new PAW Patrol 10th anniversary special "All Paws on Deck," ahead of it's premiere on Monday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT).

Among the celebrities who helped celebrate PAW Patrol's 10th anniversary were Kel Mitchell, who attended the event with his two children and his wife; Mario Lopez, best known for his roles on Saved by the Bell and Extra, with his two sons, Santino and Dominic; Dean McDermott, husband of actor Tori Spelling, with his son, Beau; and YouTuber Desi Perkins with her husband, Steven Perkins, and their son, Ocean.

Dean took to his Instagram to describe the fun he and his son had together. “Beau and I had a great time at the @nickelodeon studios today for the 10th anniversary of @pawpatrol we watched the special 10th anniversary episode and an episode of a new show. Can you guess what it is?? We met Rubble, Chase, and Skye!!”

He continued, “We had snacks and finished the day off with a coloring competition. I think Beau crushed it. I played it safe and stayed in the lines, but Beau really went with bold colors and expressed himself and explored his space with colors.”

Big Time Rush Reveals Band Is In Discussions to Reboot Hit TV Show

It's been nearly 10 years since Big Time Rush, the Nickelodeon comedy series that launched the beloved boy band, said goodbye to its viewers. During an interview with Emily Curl on the iHeartRadio Red Carpet Live! presented by Infiniti, Big Time Rush members Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, and James Maslow revealed if a reboot of the show is a possibility.

"If we did a new TV show, which is something that's being discussed," Maslow revealed just before the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday, March 27th, "... we're a little busy right now but we are definitely talking about it."

He went on to add that the reboot probably won't be geared toward children, since the fanbase has grown up along with them. "I think we would do it respectfully elsewhere. We'd do something that feels a little more mature. Our audience has grown up now," Maslow explained before Logan and Kendall chimed in that they would also love to do a movie. Hopefully, we'll have some updates about a new show or movie after they get through their busy summer.

Big Time Rush, along with fellow bandmate Carlos PenaVega who was absent from Monday's festivities, is gearing up to travel across the US on their Can't Get Enough Tour with fellow Nickelodeon alum MAX and Best New Pop Artist nominee Jax serving as openers. The tour will kick off in Fort Worth, Texas at Dickies Arena on June 22nd and conclude on August 12th in Las Vegas. Visit bigtimerushofficial.com for more information.

The group and their fans were nominated for Best Fan Army, a socially voted category, at this year's iHeartRadio Music Awards hosted by Lenny Kravitz. You can keep track of the night's winners here and relive this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards special, now through April 17th on Hulu!

Baby Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy Unite on 'The Patrick Star Show'

Baby Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy Unite in The Patrick Star Show!

The upcoming brand new The Patrick Star Show will see the superheroic duo of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy join the SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff series -- as babies. Check out a super sneak peek of "Super Sitters" below, courtesy of CBR!

Whereas last week's episode, "Pearl Wants to Be a Star," saw SpongeBob mainstay Pearl Krabs (Lori Alan) make her Patrick Star Show debut, this new episode brings Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy into the fold.

"Super Sitters" was originally scheduled to premiere on April 22, however, got postponed until a later date.

UPDATE (3/28/23) - Nickelodeon will premiere the brand new The Patrick Star Show episode "Super Sitters" on Monday, April 10 at 5:00 p.m. (ET/PT), as part of a premiere week!

"Super Sitters" - Patrick and SpongeBob go back in time to watch Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy when they were new. After traveling through the time closet, Patrick and SpongeBob meet their favorite TV superheroes as babies. Young Mermaid Man and Young Barnacle boy are voiced by Tom Kenny, who also voices SpongeBob SquarePants.

The clip finds Patrick Star (Bill Fagerbakke) and SpongeBob SquarePants (Tom Kenny) in the past, where they encounter their heroes, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, when they were still just babies. (The baby versions of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy are both voiced by Kenny.) Tiny versions of some of the superheroes' enemies can also be spotted, namely Man Ray and the Dirty Bubble.

A pair of semi-retired, geriatric superheroes whom SpongeBob and Patrick idolize, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy first appeared in "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy," which originally aired on Nickelodeon in 1999 as part of SpongeBob SquarePants Season 1. As the show's run continued, the heroes became significant recurring players.

Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy were originally voiced by the late Ernest Borgnine and the late Tim Conway, respectively. The characters were technically retired following Borgnine's death in 2012, though Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy have continued to appear on SpongeBob in the form of non-physical or otherwise non-speaking cameos.

That said, The Patrick Star Show actually isn't the first time Kenny has lent his voice to Mermaid Man. In fact, Kenny first voiced a younger version of Mermaid Man during the character's 1999 debut episode. Similarly, Adam West and Burt Ward -- who famously played the comparable duo of Batman and Robin -- voiced younger versions of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, respectively, in the 2010 SpongeBob episode "Back to the Past."
