Mondo TV Iberoamerica Announces 'Heidi Bienvenida – The Movie' | MIPTV 2018

Mondo TV’s first-ever film project – based on the hit teen show – is announced at MIPTV!

Mondo TV Iberoamerica, part of the Italian group Mondo TV, one of the largest European producers and distributors of animated content, has announced a major new project at MIPTV 2018.


For the first time in the history of Mondo TV, the company is to produce a major film. It will be based on Heidi Bienvenida, Mondo TV’s highly successful live-action comedy-drama for teens, about the adventures of a happy, carefree girl who leaves her beloved mountain home to live in the big city. The series airs on Nickelodeon Latinoamérica and Nickelodeon Brasil.

Like the TV series, the film, titled Heidi Bienvenida – The Movie will be co-produced by Mondo TV Iberoamerica and Alianzas Producciones and will be written by the legendary Argentinian author Marcela Citterio. The screenplay will be adapted from the Heidi book Citterio is writing for leading Italian publisher Mondadori.

As well as the co-producers and writer, many of the enormously popular cast members from the TV show will be part of the transition to the big screen, adding to the excitement for the fast-growing fan base of Heidi Bienvenida.


The timing of the announcement – at one of the most important shows in the TV and digital content calendar –underlines the significance of this project. Visitors to MIPTV can hear more about the film at stand P-1.N1 / P-1.M2, where Mondo TV Iberoamerica will be discussing pre-sales of the Heidi movie with interested show attendees.

Viacom18 Consumer Products Launches New Range Of Nickelodeon Back-To-School Kids Products In India

MUMBAI: Nickelodeon India is all set to drive away the back-to-school blues as Viacom18 Consumer Products returns with their new range of exciting kids’ products. The range of products for school-going kids features famous Nicktoons – Dora the Explorer, Motu Patlu, Superkid Shiva and Peppa Pig. The campaign showcases the variation of the new range of back-to-school products and at the same time represents multiple styles for kids according to their preferences. Nickelodeon Universe To Retire 'Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Collider' Ride At Mall Of America

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - This weekend will mark the end of an era at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America.


The theme park's popular Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Collider will be retired at Nickelodeon Universe, with visitors getting their last chance to try out the ride on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th April 2018.

It was one of the original attractions at the park, albeit under a different name - the Treetop Tumbler - when the Mall of America opened with a Camp Snoopy amusement in Bloomington in 1992. The ride was renamed as Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Collider when Nickelodeon Universe took over the area in 2008.


The rides official description is: "Climb aboard with Jimmy Neutron and take one of his out-of-this-world inventions for a test drive. Hear your space age engine accelerate wildly, whipping you up, down and around! Hand on tight in case of near misses with other vehicles!"

Built by Zierer, Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Collider, named after the star of Nickelodeon's popular CG-animated theatrical movie and television series, is a spinning ride that rotates cars horizontally and vertically, giving riders the option of how much they want their cars to spin and in which direction. The pairs of seats "cycle" like bike pedals as the whole ride rotates, generating plenty of airtime for riders. The ride is a rare example of a Hexentanz.

It's described by BestKidFriendlyTravel as "like The Scrambler, but on steroids" – the Scrambler being the amusement rides where cars are spun on two separate, horizontal axes.


Young and old visitors this weekend will be able to take pictures with Jimmy Neutron before they take one last spin.

In its place, the MOA told Bring Me The News it is bringing in "an exciting new attraction which will be announced next week."

Nickelodeon Latin America Announces 'Día del Juego Argentina' 2018

Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) has announced the exciting news that the number-one entertainment brand for kids will be hosting its second annual Día del Juego Argentina event, Nickelodeon Latinoamérica's local version of Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play, on Saturday 14th April 2018 between 11am-6pm in the Plaza Intendente Seeber de Buenos Aires!


Nickelodeon's pro-social initiative celebrates kids' love of play, highlighting the importance physical activity, and encourages the whole family to take part in creative and imaginative sports and games in a safe environment.

Worldwide Day of Play was created by Nickelodeon in conjunction with its “Let’s Just Play” campaign. The annual event is designed to encourage children and adults to turn off the television and play, especially outdoors.

Nickelodeon Latinoamérica held its first Día del Juego event in Argentina, in which 12 thousand attendees gathered in the Parque Centenario de Buenos Aires, in 2017.


As part of this important initiative, Nickelodeon Argentina will go off-air and its digital platforms will go dark for four hours to encourage its audience to go out and play in their local neighbourhoods with their family and friends.

Día del Juego Argentina will be held on Saturday 14th April 2018 between 11am-6pm in the Plaza Intendente Seeber de Buenos Aires, and invites kids and their parents to enjoy various attractions, musical shows and take part in traditional games. The event will also feature the musical presentations of V-One y Joystick; the presence of influencers Ian Lucas and Ramiro & Nacho Nayar; and special appearances by Nickelodeon stars including SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the pups from Nick Jr.'s PAW Patrol!

Please note that, in the event of rain, Nickelodeon will postpone the event for a week.

'Rise of the TMNT' Comic Book to Debut in Advance of Nickelodeon's New TV Series

Nickelodeon's upcoming Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series has drawn a vocal response from fans, who have been both intrigued and skeptical about the radically redesigned versions of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s iconic Heroes in a Half-Shell.

While the show won’t debut until September 2018, the latest iteration of the pop culture mainstays will first debut in comic book form, and CBR has revealed details of the project, first announced this past weekend at C2E2 in Chicago! The Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #0 one-shot is scheduled for release in July 2018, from current TMNT license-holder IDW Publishing. It’s written by Matthew K. Manning, who wrote 2016’s Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures miniseries, and illustrated by Chad Tomas, a veteran of multiple TMNT animated adaptations at IDW.

It’s not yet clear what IDW’s plans for Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are beyond the #0 issues, but a follow-up series certainly seems like a safe bet.


First announced in March 2017, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to reinvent the TMNT mythos in several ways, along with the visual changes: the main four Turtles will have “mystic ninja powers” and tweaked weapons, and April O’Neil is depicted as an African-American girl. The 2D-animated series stars the voice talent of Omar Miller (Ballers) as Raphael, Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as Leonardo, Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as Donatello, Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re The Worst) as Michelangelo, Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) as April O’Neil and Eric Bauza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Splinter. Pro wrestling superstar John Cena lends his voice as villain, Baron Draxum, an alchemist warrior mutant who seeks to turn all of humanity into mutants.

Nickelodeon’s previous CG-animated TMNT series, simply titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (billed as Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in its fifth and final season), wrapped its five-year run this past November.
