Nickelodeon To Premiere Brand New Original TV Movie "Swindle" Internationally In 2014

Nickelodeon has today (Wednesday 14th August 2013) announced the exciting Nickelodeon International news in their "Nickelodeon Stars Unite In "Swindle"" press release that, after Nick USA hosts the world premiere of the networks brand new Nickelodeon Original TV Movie, "Swindle", on Saturday 24th August 2013 at 8:00pm ET/PT; 7:00pm C, Nickelodeon will begin to launch and start to premiere and show "Swindle" on Nickelodeon's 40+ international channels across Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia, including Nickelodeon UK and Ireland, in 2014!:

In "Swindle", a 90-minute comedy caper featuring an ensemble cast of fan favourite Nickelodeon stars who have teamed up for the first time ever, an evil collector cons Griffin (Noah Crawford) out of a million dollar baseball card that could have saved his best friend’s (Chris O'Neal) home, so he unites a ragtag group of his classmates (Jennette McCurdy, Ariana Grande, Ciara Bravo and Noah Munck) to take down the swindler. It's a valiant adventure that will take them through daring heists, crazy disguises and pie fight face-off – but throughout it all, the kids have to bring their skills together as a team to get justice.

Atomic Cartoons Links With Yeti Farm; To Collaborate On The Production Of Teletoon And Nickelodeon's "Rocket Monkeys"

The entertainment industry news website C21Media is reporting the animation news that the Vancouver-based animation studio Atomic Cartoons has formed a three-year joint venture agreement with fellow Canadian studio Yeti Farm Creative.

The exclusive deal, which will be worth up to C$3m in production value, will offer expanding television animation production capabilities for Atomic in the growing animation market in Kelowna, British Columbia, where Yeti Farm is based.

As part of the deal, Yeti Farm will collaborate in the production of two of Atomic's children's TV series, including the recently announced season two "Rocket Monkeys", pictured below, which currently airs on Teletoon in Canada and on Nickelodeon channels around the world (Planet Nickelodeon), including on Nick USA, Nickelodeon UK and Ireland, and Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand, and stars brothers and monkey astronauts Gus and Wally.

Yeti Farm will also engage in producing "Pirate Express" (52x11’), Atomic's original animated comedy series for kids 7-11, set for broadcast on Teletoon in Fall (Autumn) 2014 and Australia's Nine Network in 2015.

The children's entertainment and media news website Kidscreen is reporting the Nickelodeon News in the following article that Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) has promoted Marianne James to the position of Vice President (VP) consumer products for UK and Ireland, and European retail sales and marketing.

In her new role, James will lead the UK and Ireland consumer products team who is responsible for planning, developing and implementing Nick & Viacom's consumer products retail strategy. She will report to NVCP's consumer products General Manager (GM) and Senior Vice President (SVP) of Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Australia, Mark Kingston and Nickelodeon UK Managing Director (MD), Tina McCann. James will start her new role immediately.

Since joining Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products in 2011 as director of EMEA retail sales and marketing and pan-European licensing, James has led the consumer products team to develop a collaborative approach to working with licensees and retailers. Most recently, she has played a major role in the re-launch of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

Launched in 1993, Nickelodeon UK is available in 14 million satellite and cable homes in the territory and now reaches more than 10 million viewers a month. Nickelodeon UK will be celebrating the channels 20th Birthday in September 2013:
