Nicktoons UK To Premiere Brand-New "Harvey Beaks" Episodes From Monday 21st September 2015

The online British and Irish TV guide website Digiguide is reporting the very exciting news that Nicktoons UK and Ireland, Nickelodeon UK's animation and action channel, will start to premiere more brand-new episodes of Nickelodeon's brand-new original animated buddy comedy series (Nicktoon) "Harvey Beaks" weekdays at 4:30pm from Monday 21st September 2015!

Following each episodes debut, Nicktoons UK & Eire will encore each all-new episode the same evening at 10:30pm, and the following weekday at 8:00am, 4:45pm and 10:45pm!


Below is a list of currently announced brand-new "Harvey Beaks" episodes set to debut on Nicktoons UK in September 2015, with episode descriptions:

Monday 21st September 2015 - A Tale of Les Squirrels: The kids find a detached tail in the woods and decide to keep it. But when the owners resort to dirty tricks to get it back, Fee shows she can play dirtier than any of them. (New, Subtitles)

Snoop Dogg Guest Stars In New "Sanjay And Craig" Special "Street Dogg", Premiering Friday 2nd October 2015 On Nicktoons UK

The online British and Irish TV guide website Digiguide is reporting the very exciting news that Nicktoons UK and Ireland, Nickelodeon UK's animation and action channel, will premiere the brand-new special episode of Nickelodeon's Emmy-nominated original animated series (NickToon) "Sanjay and Craig" titled "Street Dogg", guest starring entertainment icon Snoop Dogg, on Friday 2nd October 2015 at 5:30pm!

Following the episodes debut, Nicktoons UK & Eire will encore the special the same night at 7:00pm and 11:30pm!


In the special half-hour premiere, music sensation Snoop Dogg guest stars as Street Dogg, a rap icon who moves in next door to Sanjay and Craig.

Street Dogg is a cool, funny, friendly guy who is always eager to rhyme with the kids. He's come to town to escape the bright lights of LA, chill out, make some new music and live a quiet suburban life in Lundgren.


During the special, Sanjay and Craig discover that Street Dogg was once part of a rap duo with none other than Remington Tufflips, the boys' action-movie idol. They set out to reunite the former pair, but their failed efforts only lead to a town divided—and the Mother of all rap battles!

Nickelodeon Russia Declares "Worldwide Day of Play" 2015 A Success

Nickelodeon Russia has announced the very exciting news in the following press release, via Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Russia, CIS, Ukraine and Baltics' official Press Office, that Nickelodeon Russia's third annual "День, когда пора играть", Nick Russia's localised version of Nickelodeon's "Worldwide Day of Play", was a fantastic success!


On Saturday 22nd August 2015 during the penultimate weekend of the summer, Nickelodeon went off-air for six hours to encourage children across Russia to go outside and play, whether in a garden, in a park or at a playground.


To celebrate kids' love of play, Nickelodeon also held special "День, когда пора играть" events in Moscow, Saratov and Krasnodar on Saturday 22nd August 2015 in which children could play and interact with their favourite Nickelodeon stars! Visitors were greeted by a cheerful SpongeBob SquarePants in Moscow, the courageous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Saratov, and Dora the Explorer in Krasnodar!

Additionally, Nickelodeon's Moscow "День, когда пора играть" event featured a huge Sponge-tastic Bikini Bottom trampoline and 3D figures of SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer! Throughout the day, children could play sports, participate in NERF tournaments, and take part in creative workshops and shows!


At each event, children were also entertained by the professional team of animators, whilst their parents could enjoy relaxing stays in Rostelecom's comfortable lounge areas in which everyone could connect to Wi-Fi.

Rostelecom also held a fun and exciting game called "Buttons" at "День, когда пора играть", which proved popular amongst young visitors. In the game, participants were transferred into the world of television, and had to solve simple arithmetic exercises to collect to find the right channel.


The lead up to "День, когда пора играть" was accompanied by a large-scale promotional campaign on Nickelodeon Russia and on the pro-social initiatives official website, igraem.nickelodeon.ru, as well as PR support in the media. Children could also participate in a exclusive contest.

Nickelodeon Russia also held a Turtley Awesome "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" street art competition, in which a team of professional street artists - ZukClub - created four graffiti paintings featuring Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo & Donatello from Nickelodeon's hit CG-animated series. Visitors to "День, когда пора играть" could watch the creation of each painting and immediately vote for their favourite work. On Tuesday 1st September 2015, Nickelodeon Russia launched a brand-new and exclusive competition in which kids around Russia can vote for their favourite TMNT artwork on nickelodeon.ru. At the end of the contest, the artwork with the most votes will feature on a limited collection of sweatshirts, which winners of Nick's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" street art competition will be among the first to own!

In addition, Nickelodeon Russia is also hosting a photo competition on their official VKontakte profile page, in which entrants can win cameras!

Продолжая традицию, уже в третий раз подряд Nickelodeon отключил эфир на 6 часов и пригласил детей весело провести время с семьей на свежем воздухе.

«День, когда пора играть» - одно из самых ярких событий для зрителей и поклонников популярных анимационных шоу Nickelodeon. Подготовка к празднику сопровождалась масштабной промо-кампанией в эфире канала, на специальном сайте igraem.nickelodeon.ru, а также PR-поддержкой в СМИ. Дети также могли принять участие в творческом конкурсе, предложив свой сценарий того, как можно провести «День, когда пора играть», или собрать команду в отборочном туре на чемпионат по нёрфингу, который состоялся в начале лета. Две команды победителей-финалистов сразились за первое место на самом мероприятии. Благодаря широкому анонсированию, программа праздника вызвала огромный интерес у аудитории: сайт мероприятия посетили более 120 тысяч человек, а в самом празднике приняли участие более 20 тысяч детей и их родителей.

В рамках насыщенной программы праздника гости «Дня, когда пора играть» были окружены героями самых популярных сериалов канала Nickelodeon: в Москве посетителей встречал веселый Губка Боб, в Саратове – отважные Черепашки-ниндзя, в Краснодаре – любознательная Даша-путешественница. Кроме этого, в московском парке «Красная Пресня» был установлен огромный батут Бикини Боттом, а объемные фигуры Губки Боба и Даши-путешественницы все желающие могли своими руками собрать из картона. В течение всего дня детей ждали спортивные игры, турнир по нёрфингу, творческие мастер-классы и познавательное научное шоу.

Пока детей развлекала профессиональная команда аниматоров, их родители наслаждались отдыхом в комфортной лаунж-зоне от «Ростелекома» в Саратове и Краснодаре, а в Москве – в шатре от цифрового телевидения «ОнЛайм», где каждый смог подключиться к сети Wi-Fi. Поблизости лаунж-зоны компания «Ростелеком» также провела веселую и увлекательную игру «Кнопочки», которая пользовалась особенной популярностью у юных посетителей. На время игры участники переносились в мир телевидения, пытаясь с помощью простых арифметических упражнений собрать расыпавшийся пульт и найти правильный телеканал.

В рамках проекта в Москве также прошел конкурс стрит-арта: команда профессиональных уличных художников – ZukClub – создала четыре картины в стиле граффити с главными героями мультфильма «Черепашки-ниндзя». Все посетители, наблюдая за созданием рисунка, смогли тут же проголосовать за понравившуюся работу, а 1 сентября стартует общероссийское голосование на сайте телеканала nickelodeon.ru. По его окончании по эскизам самого популярного рисунка будет выпущена лимитированная коллекция толстовок. Первыми обладателями эксклюзивного свитшота станут победители творческого конкурса.

Помимо лимитированных толстовок, о прошедшем мероприятии детям будут напоминать яркие фотографии, сделанные в «День, когда пора играть». Лучшие фото о том, как увлекательно и весело провести день на свежем воздухе, будут выбраны в группе Nickelodeon в социальной сети «ВКонтакте», а победители получат призы – фотоаппараты.

"The SpongeBob Musical" Announces New York City Audition Dates; Christopher Gattelli Joins Crew As Show's Choreographer

"Who lives in a Pineapple under the sea?" It could be you! The recently announced "SpongeBob Squarepants" musical has set audition dates for New York City, Playbill is reporting!


Auditions for "The SpongeBob Musical" will be held on Tuesday 15th September 2015 at Pearl Studios. Equity Female Singers are called at 10 AM. Equity Male Singers are called at 2 PM. Auditioners are asked to prepare a brief uptempo pop/rock song and to bring sheet music and a photo/resume stapled together. A piano accompanist will be provided.

Rehearsals will begin in New York City on Monday 11th April 2016, with out-of-town performances between Tuesday 31st May - Sunday 3rd July 2016. Broadway previews and opening dates have yet to be announced.

So "rev up those fryers" and prepare to use your "imagination" because SpongeBob is coming to Broadway and you could be a part of it!

Breakdown:

Additionally, Playbill is also reporting that Christopher Gattelli, who won the 2012 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for his choreography in "Newsies", has joined the creative team of Nickelodeon's Broadway-bound "The SpongeBob Musical", which will feature a score by Aerosmith and Cyndi Lauper, among other rock superstars!

Gattelli, who will serve as the show's choreographer, also earned a Tony nomination this year for his work on "The King and I".

Based on Nickelodeon's hit original animated series (Nicktoon) "SpongeBob SquarePants", "The SpongeBob Musical" stage musical will make its world premiere stage debut in 2016 at Broadway in Chicago's Oriental Theatre! The production will run performances as a limited engagement from Tuesday 7th June to Sunday 3rd July 2016, with a planned Broadway opening in the 2016-2017 season.


Directed and co-conceived by Steppenwolf veteran Tina Landau ("Bells Are Ringing", "Superior Donuts") with a book by Kyle Jarrow and music supervision by Tony-winning composer Tom Kitt ("Next to Normal", "If/Then"), the "one of a kind musical event" will feature original songs by prominent musicians, including Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, Jonathon Coulton, Dirty Projectors, The Flaming Lips, John Legend, Lady Antebellum, Cyndi Lauper, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T's, They Might Be Giants and T.I, with a additional song contributed by David Bowie and additional lyrics by Coulton.

The design team includes scenic and costume design by David Zinn ("Fun Home", "The Flick"), lighting design by Kevin Adams ("Hedwig and the Angry Inch"), projection design by Peter Nigrini ("The Heidi Chronicles") and sound design by Walter Trarbach ("Doctor Zhivago"). It is produced by Nickelodeon.

Nickelodeon describes "The SpongeBob Musical" as: "The end is near. Only one sponge can save the day. But he's going to need help from some of the greatest songwriters in rock and pop music history. The SpongeBob Musical unleashes anarchic absurdity under the sea... and on Broadway. A rousing tale of a simple sea sponge who faces the unfathomable. It's a celebration of unbridled hope, unexpected heroes, and pure theatrical invention."


Nickelodeon revealed the show's opening number, "Bikini Bottom Day", at Nickelodeon's Upfront presentation in February 2015.

"We decided early on that we would only bring SpongeBob to Broadway if we could find someone with a wholly unique take on these beloved characters. When we met Tina, we immediately understood that her vision would not only live up to the expectations of both fans and new audiences, but also to the high-level of artistry and professionalism that are the hallmarks of Broadway. Nickelodeon Italy has announced the exciting news in their new trailer, below, that Nickelodeon Italy (Italia) will premiere the brand-new Nickelodeon Original Movie "One Crazy Cruise", locally titled "Una pazza crociera", on Friday 25th September 2015!:



Venerdì 25 settembre arriva il nuovo film di Nickelodeon Una Pazza Crociera: Kira Kosarin e Benjamin Flores Jr vivono la vacanza più folle di sempre!


In the all-new Nick Flick "One Crazy Cruise", the Jensens and the Bauers are now the Jensen-Bauers, and they're going on a cruise to bring the family together! However, the stylish Jensen kids, Piper and Nate, and the geeky Bauer kids, Ellie and Cameron, aren't thrilled about the mandatory quality time.

On the first night of the cruise, the kids attend a magic show and are hypnotized into thinking they're a crazy band of pirates. The crazy night leads to an even crazier next day when the next morning, they wake up to a cabin in shambles, with no recollection of what happened the night before. The newly formed siblings must figure out what happened to them and how to put things back to normal before Mom and Dad find out. In "Return to the Rainforest," Dora's city friends travel back to the rainforest with Boots and embark on an epic journey to rescue Backpack and Map. In the later specials, Dora treks to Rainbow Rock with Boots; saves the show at an enchanted night circus; and even comes to Swiper's rescue.

NickJr.com will also feature a brand-new game, "Dora and Friends Rainforest Rescue," on Friday, Sept. 11, as well an exclusive first-look at the episode. The site will also debut a "Best of Boots" music video compilation on Monday, Sept. 14.

SINGAPORE, 8 SEPTEMBER 2015 – Viacom has today announced the launch of Viacom Play Plex, a suite of mobile TV apps allowing its distribution partners to offer smartphone and tablet users around the world access to the best content from ALL its international TV brands, anytime and anywhere.


Starting in the fourth quarter of 2015, the Viacom Play Plex apps will be available to launch in every one of the 180 international territories in which Viacom owns and operates TV channels*. There will be a separate mobile Play app for each of Viacom's major international TV channel brands – Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Channel, Spike and BET – offering video-on-demand (VOD) access to a range of current and library content, as well as a live, local linear stream of the relevant channel, and other content including games for Nick Play. Viacom is exploring a number of different distribution options for Viacom Play Plex, with the suite of apps being offered on both a collective and standalone basis to existing pay TV partners in every territory to integrate into their TV Everywhere services where available. A number of pay TV providers have already signed deals with Viacom to offer subscribers authenticated access to the Nick app, including NOS in Portugal, while Viacom is collaborating with a number of other providers on upcoming launches including Foxtel in Australia and OSN in the Middle East and North Africa region. The Nick app, which has been rolled out in five international markets since 2013, is being updated and rebranded as Nick Play internationally to become part of Viacom Play Plex.


Viacom will also look for new distribution partners for the Viacom Play Plex apps, including mobile network operators.

Mobile TV viewers everywhere will enjoy an intuitive, video-focused user interface and enhanced video player, which reduces loading and buffering times, as well as an algorithmic menu that adapts to their tastes. Apps will include social and sharing components, and will be available in both iOS and Android to download from the Apple App store and Google Play store respectively.

Viacom will launch a suite of mobile TV apps for all its major brands in all its international markets later this year to reach existing and new consumers as people increasingly watch shows and movies on mobile devices.

The portfolio of apps, dubbed Viacom Play Plex, will allow its distribution partners to offer smartphone and tablet users around the world access to live and on-demand content from all its international brands. Starting in the fourth quarter, the app will start rolling out in the company's 180 international territories, with first deals for authenticated apps with distribution companies expected to be announced at a later date.

In the U.S., Viacom Media Networks has already been offering a range of authenticated mobile apps to support its TV channel brands. Now Viacom International Media Networks will off a separate mobile app for each of the company's major international TV brands, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Channel, Spike and BET, based on the same Play architecture.

Bakish also told THR: "We’re looking at evolving consumer behavior in terms of how they access content. About 18 months ago or so we decided to more formally embrace mobile platforms. The Nick app has been getting traction, and we saw an opportunity to provide a more holistic solution, including other brands. We think this is a very important contemporary complement to the products we are already providing. We think this is additive to consumer media consumption."

In addition to live, local linear TV streams, the apps also offer on-demand content and, in the case of Nick Play, games. The apps, which will be available in both iOS and Android versions, focus on an intuitive, video-focused interface and enhanced video player, which reduces loading and buffering time. It also includes an algorithmic menu that adapts to users' tastes. The apps will also include social and sharing components.

Each branded Play app will be localized for each country in terms of language and available content, including such global hits as SpongeBob SquarePants, Catfish, Lip Sync Battle and local productions. The company said it could add advertising, e-commerce and other offerings over time because the apps, developed in-house, allow for such functionality.

"Consumers want easy access to video, and so video is already playing when you enter the apps," Dan Reich, senior vp multiplatform product strategy & development at Viacom International Media Networks, told THR. "Historically, you have had static images and multi-step menus. Our goal is to get consumers into video as quickly as possible." Since the app is video-based, there is also little in terms of graphics and text that needs to be localized, he said.

Bakish said the apps will also offer acquired content, but with Viacom spending more than $4 billion a year on original content, it has the advantage of being able to tap into its own deep programming pool. "We own and control a lot of rights," he said. "So with the launch of such a product, we have a significant advantage. We still have to pay participants, but we control a lot of content. Since this is in the first wave of deployment TV Everywhere usage, even with licensed shows, we are in pretty good shape."

Viacom's Nick app, which was developed for the U.S. and has been rolled out in five international markets since 2013, is being updated and rebranded as Nick Play internationally to be offered as part of Viacom Play Plex.

Viacom's and other research has highlighted the appeal of TV Everywhere mobile TV services, with consumers saying they add value to existing pay TV subscriptions and make them more likely to stay with pay TV providers.
