New 'Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2' Leaks Seemingly Confirm Big Roster Cuts

It looks like several veterans from the first Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl won't be returning for a rematch.

The latest round of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 leaks and rumors have suggested that a lot of veteran fighters from the original game have been cut from the roster.

Unfortunately, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 has been a notoriously leaky ship even before it was officially announced, with the first leak hinting that Squidward was going to be playable in the game and suggesting that characters would have reworked movesets, which both ended up being true. The leaks didn't stop there, though, as the game's whole roster was later leaked thanks to Amazon showing the game's finalised cover art a bit too early.

Although many were excited by the new characters shown like the Angry Beavers and Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender, many were quick to point out that there were 11 veterans from the first game who didn't appear on the cover art, which caused many to fear that they'd been cut from the roster entirely.

Since that roster leak, fans have been looking for any kind of confirmation that these veteran characters might be coming back, but it looks like some recent leaks that have taken place might have dashed those hopes and added more evidence that they're not playable this time around and might only appear as NPCs within the story mode.

The first big leak that suggested this happened last week when a render of Hugh Neutron was shared through the game's Discord page alongside images of Gir and Gaz from Invader ZIM. Although reliable leaker PapaGenos previously suggested that Hugh was playable after they had seen a render of him before the roster leak, this leak confirmed to them that he was just an NPC in the story mode and not playable.

Since then, several other leaks have showcased similar renders for previously playable characters who appear to only be showing up in the game's story mode as NPCs or bosses, such as Shredder and Powdered Toast Man, which added more evidence to the theory that there have been some big roster cuts.

To add even more evidence to the theory and practically confirm what we'd all been wondering all along, Grandma Gertie's reveal trailer showcased a Lockjaw new stage from Hey Arnold!, one that features Helga as a background character. All of these factors combined seemed to confirm that she, along with Oblina, Toph, Sandy, Leonardo, Lincoln, Michelangelo, Shredder, Hugh, Powdered Toast Man, and CatDog won't be playable in the sequel.

Although fighters do cut characters between sequels, some of the choices here have been a little controversial, like not having all of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in one game and cutting Lincoln Loud, one of the biggest Nick characters in the whole roster. Although it seems that 11 of the characters have been cut, it's worth noting that nothing official has been confirmed so far, so it's worth taking it all with a pinch of salt.
