Nickelodeon Opens Interactive Play Lab At The Scott Family Amazeum

Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, recently opened a brand-new interactive exhibit at the recently opened Scott Family Amazeum in Bentonville, Arkansas, USA!

The Nickelodeon Play Lab is a wildly imaginative space where popular Nickelodeon animated characters are the agents of creativity, empowering kids to collaborate and create! The Nickelodeon gallery features experiences that encourage discovery and playful exploration in a dynamic, immersive, Nickelodeon inspired environment. Gallery activities include controlling a giant SpongeBob puppet, filming stop motion animation, and creating unique musical compositions with a suite of analog and automated instruments. The experiences are designed to foster imaginative play, prompt social interaction, and have the flexibility to provide new and evolving challenges as visitors grow and return to the gallery on repeat visits. Throughout the experiences, Nickelodeon characters provide encouragement and participate in the fun via graphics, digital representations, and as the subjects of the activities.

The Scott Family Amazeum opened on Wednesday 16th July 2015 after a 10 year process. The museum features eight different exhibits, including a nature and weather center where children can learn about tornadoes and play with water toys.

What differentiates the Scott Family Amazeum from other children's museums is an exhibit that is unique to Northwest Arkansas; The homestead cabin and farm teaches children about the history of Northwest Arkansas, with a life-size cabin and apple trees. Children can learn to pick fruits from the tree and vegetables from the ground, as if they're on a real live farm.

Nickelodeon is also a proud sponsor of the Amazeum.

Another sponsor includes General Mills, where they have a lift and haul exhibit where children can learn the ins and outs of production.

Admission into the Amazeum for kids and adults is $9.50, and members and children under 2-years-old can get in for free. For more information about the Scott Family Amazeum, including opening times, please visit amazeum.org.
