Kids' Choice Awards 2025: Nickelodeon Sets Date For This Year's Biggest Slime Fest

Summer's biggest event is on the way!

Nickelodeon is set to host Kids' Choice Awards 2025 on Saturday, June 21 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT)! Nickelodeon revealed the airdate in the description of a livestream recap video of last year's awards on YouTube:

"Gear up for the 2025 Kids' Choice Awards with a recap of last year's show! Get ready for the best summer ever! Watch the Kids' Choice Awards 2025 on Nickelodeon on Saturday, June 21 at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST! #Nickelodeon"

The news comes as Nickelodeon is gearing up to announce the host(s), nominees and logo of Kids' Choice Awards 2025. On KidsChoiceAwards.com, whilst using last year's theme, Nickelodeon teases that "something awesome is coming" soon, whilst over on Instagram, Nickelodeon has launched a Kids' Choice Awards news broadcast channel, and hinted at what may be design of this year's KCAs in their Instagram Stories, featuring two iconic Nickelodeon colors: orange and green. The cloud graphics could hint that rather be in an indoor ceremony, this year's KCAs could be being held outdoors, summer SlimeFest style. This, however, is pure speculation on my part.

Interestingly, it seems that international voters will be voting for their KCA favorites through a global voting page on KidsChoiceAwards.com rather than separate regional websites this year. It's currently unknown whether KCA 2025 will include region-specific voting categories this year.

RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Night raise over $415,000 in support of Children’s Miracle Network

RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Night raise over $415,000 in support of Children’s Miracle Network

Calgary, Alta. –  The Western Hockey League announced today that over $415,000 has been raised in support of Children’s Miracle Network through three seasons of the RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Night campaign.

From November through March, RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Nights for Children’s Miracle Network brought to WHL arenas the fun, irreverent energy, and characters of some of Nickelodeon’s most popular franchises, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and PAW Patrol (produced by Spin Master Entertainment).

Through the auctioning of special theme jerseys and other fundraising initiatives tied to the campaign, WHL Clubs collectively raised $118,028 during 2024-25, bringing the three-season total to $417,922 in support of Children’s Miracle Network.

“RE/MAX has supported Children’s Miracle Network for decades, showcasing its commitment to making a difference through initiatives like the Western Hockey League partnership,” said Don Kottick, President of RE/MAX Canada. “We’re proud of the success of the RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Night for Children’s Miracle Network campaign having united communities and raised over $415,000 to date for children’s hospital foundations through the event. We’re thrilled to be a part of this impactful initiative that champions the wellbeing of children and families.”

“For three seasons, RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Nights for Children’s Miracle Network has captured the spirit of fans across the WHL,” commented WHL Commissioner Dan Near. “Most importantly, this unique program brought to life by the WHL’s longstanding sponsor, RE/MAX, has contributed valuable financial support to children’s hospital foundations throughout Western Canada, ensuring the WHL continues to give back to the communities in which we play.”

All 16 of the WHL’s Canadian markets celebrated a Nickelodeon theme night in 2024-25, complete with special theme jerseys, branded creative, video content, music, and in-game activations. Funds raised through Children’s Miracle Network programs go directly to children’s hospital foundations. Powered by donor support, Canada’s children’s hospitals are providing the best care to children and their families through groundbreaking research and discovery, life-changing innovations, and healing environments that make the hospital experience less overwhelming for families.

Victoria Justice Says She Received Death Threats After ‘I Think We All Sing’ Meme Was Interpreted as Ariana Grande Shade

The video of Justice and her Victorious costars went viral in 2017, years after it was filmed

  • Victoria Justice is opening up about the “I Think We All Sing” meme, which fans believed was shady in an interview with her Victorious castmates Ariana Grande, Liz Gillies and Daniella Monet
  • Justice said she received “death threats” after the video went viral in 2017, years after it was filmed
  • Justice added that it’s “factual” that they “did all sing”

Victoria Justice is getting real about the rumors surrounding the Victorious cast.

On May 13, Justice, 32, appeared on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals show. Host Josh Scherer mentioned to her a TikTok from April that read, “In another universe, we didn’t fail her and she became the pop star she desired to be,” alongside clips of Justice talking about her dreams and relationships with her Victorious costars.

Justice said that was so sweet, but noted, “I love my life” and “I really am living the life of my dreams. Not everyone can say that.” Still, she said she does still hope to put out her “dream album” with her “dream collaborators” one day.

She said it was “very nice” to see people being kind to her online because, “There was a time for so long on the Internet where I felt like people hated me.” Scherer asked her why that happened, and she brought up the “I Think We All Sing” meme.

Back in 2017, a video resurfaced of an interview Justice had done as a teenager with her Victorious castmates Ariana Grande, Liz Gillies and Daniella Monet. Gillies (now 31) says in the clip that Grande “sings absolutely everything” and “she never stops.” Monet says, “That’s so true, Liz, you sing a lot too,” and Justice chimes in and says, “I think we all sing.” Fans felt that Justice was shading her costars, particularly Grande.

The video went viral on Twitter (now called X) in 2017 and then was picked up by multiple media outlets. It even has a page on Know Your Meme, an online compendium of Internet in-jokes.

Scherer, 33, said it was “insane” for “we all sing” to cause such a stir since it was “three words spoken by a teenager.”

“First of all, it’s factual. We did all sing. What do you want from me?” Justice said. She said she was also upset about the “narrative” that formed around it and didn’t understand why the video blew up all those years later, when she was 16 or 17 when it was filmed.

“And then it’s like I got all this hate, so much hate,” she said. “I’m like ‘What did I do? What did I do?’ I’m sitting here living my life, just trying to work, live.”

“I got so much hate. I got death threats,” she said. She especially felt bad for her mom, who saw the reaction online and was “freaking out.” “It really took on a life of its own and became a thing.”

Looking back on it now, she thinks it’s “funny.” “I’m in on the joke. I say it to myself all the time,” she said. “It was definitely a thing where it was like, the Internet hates Victoria Justice right now.”

Victorious ran from 2010 to 2013 on Nickelodeon. The show was set at a fictional performing arts high school, and the ultra-talented cast also included Avan Jogia and Grammy winner Leon Thomas III.

It seems the Victorious alumni all have a pretty positive relationship. Justice and Gillies reunited at a holiday party in December 2024, and Grande commented on the post with five holding-back-tears emojis.

Before Victorious, Justice starred in Zoey 101, also on Nickelodeon. A Victorious spinoff is in the works, with Monet set to reprise her role as Trina. Justice also teased a possible cameo.

Studio Mir Tapped for ‘The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender’ Movie

Studio Mir has announced its partnership on the production of Paramount Animation & Nickelodeon Animation’s highly anticipated theatrical feature The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

The South Korean animation studio previously worked with Nickelodeon on Avatar: The Last Airbender spin-off The Legend of Korra in 2014. More recently, the studio's work has been seen on the recent Netflix adult animated titles Devil May Cry and Witcher: Sirens of the Deep  as well as in Warner Bros. Animation/DC’s Watchmen direct-to-video films and Disney/Marvel’s X-Men ’97.

The new movie will blend 2D animation with modern CG technology to create a unique hybrid look.

Based on Nickelodeon’s award-winning, critically acclaimed Avatar: The Last Airbender series, the film is scheduled for release on January 30, 2026. Aang will pick up some years after the events of the series, following the Avatar (now in his 20s) and his companions on a new adventure.

“We’re excited to be working with the team at Studio Mir on The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender. Their artistry and deep connection to the Avatar universe make them a great partner as we bring this new story to life,” said Traci Balthazor, Executive Vice President, Physical Production, Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Movies.

The Legend of Aang is being directed by series alum Lauren Montgomery (Superman: Doomsday, Wonder Woman, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths) and co-directed by William Mata (Dora and the Fantastical Creatures), with series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko executive producing alongside Eric Coleman. The voice cast is led by Eric Nam as Aang, Dave Bautista as an unnamed villain, Dionne Quan as Toph, Jessica Matten as Katara, Román Zaragoza as Sokka and Steve Yeun in a TBA role.

It will be based on the world of the original series “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” and is directed by Lauren Montgomery and produced by Maryann Garger, Latifa Ouaou and series creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino.

“We’re excited to be working with the team at Studio Mir on The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender.
