Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Is Produced by CBS Studios
May 15, 2025 – Paramount+ today announced season three of its hit original series STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS will premiere with two episodes on Thursday, July 17, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. The series will also stream on Paramount+ in international markets where the service is available. Following the premiere, new episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays, with the season finale on Thursday, September 11. Paramount+ previously announced the series has also been renewed for a fourth season, which is currently in production.
In season three, when we reconnect with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, still under the command of Captain Pike, they face the conclusion of season two’s harrowing encounter with the Gorn. But new life and civilizations await, including a villain that will test our characters’ grit and resolve. An exciting twist on classic STAR TREK, season three takes characters both new and beloved to new heights, and dives into thrilling adventures of faith, duty, romance, comedy and mystery, with varying genres never before seen on any other STAR TREK.
The series is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment and stars Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun and Martin Quinn, along with guest stars Rhys Darby, Patton Oswalt, Cillian O’Sullivan, Melanie Scrofano and Carol Kane, plus special guest star Paul Wesley.

Jeff Sornig guided the kids through drawing their favorite Nickelodeon characters, including SpongeBob. To kick things off, we aired a short episode of SpongeBob SquarePants featuring the song “Best Day Ever.” One child even chimed in, saying April 25th really was the best day ever, especially because he didn’t have to wear a jacket (Sunny Day!), which drew laughter from everyone. The day wrapped up with the kids proudly sharing their amazing drawings. As a parting gift, Jeff created a custom coloring page just for them, which was sent out after the event.
“This event was pure joy. The kids didn’t just draw their favorite Nickelodeon characters, they owned it! What really struck me, though, was how engaged the families were when Jeff shared his journey from the Marine Corps to becoming a Nickelodeon artist. You could see how much it meant to them to connect with someone who shares the same background and is now living their dream, doing something so fun and creative. The smiles, the laughs, the connection, and the inspiration shared at the event reminded us why we do what we do. Could Nickelodeon Gak be about to make a comeback?
Nickelodeon could be planning to relaunch its classic Gak slime!
Inspired by Nickelodeon's iconic slime and based on an idea from the network's beloved Double Dare game show, Gak Splat is a slimy Nickelodeon Compound toy first introduced by Nickelodeon in 1992 in partnership with Mattel, and allowed fans to play with Nickelodeon slime in their own homes, as well as make fart noises whilst putting the slime back into it's clear Splat casing.
Over the course of the '90s, the Gak toy range was expanded to include different variants, including Gak-in-the-Dark, Solar Gak, and Smell My Gak, along with activity and play sets, such as the Gak Pak, Gak Vac, Gak Inflator, Gak Copier, and Nickelodeon Gakoids, before eventually being discontinued. There was even a GAK Meister's Kitchen at Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, Florida, which allowed visitors to taste Gak.
Over the years, Gak has made various comebacks, including in 2012 in partnership with NSI International, however, it seems like Gak is set to make another comeback!
Earlier this month, Paramount Global, under Viacom International, Inc., applied to trademark the name "GAK SPLAT" with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), under NICE Class 28 for Games; toys; sports equipment, pertaining to Goods & Services such as "Flying discs; Play balls; Foot balls; Dart games; Toy sling shots; Toy modeling compounds". The application was made on Thursday, May 8, and is currently pending approval.
Whilst the filing doesn't confirm that Nickelodeon is about to bring back its classic Gak product, it seems like there may be a good chance we'll be seeing Gak back on toy store shelves once again in the near future!

BURBANK, Calif., May 15, 2025 -- Nickelodeon and Spin Master Entertainment are doubling down on the top-rated preschool powerhouse PAW Patrol, with a brand-new slate of five original hour-long specials. Each of the animated specials center on a different pup, with the first featuring jungle rescuer Tracker set to premiere this fall, followed by a pup-tacular holiday event focusing on construction-savvy Rubble. The remaining PAW Patrol specials will roll out in 2026. This news comes on the heels of the previously announced episode cycle order, marking seasons 12 and 13 for the award-winning series.

In the fall special, "Valiente: A Tracker Story," Tracker and his caretaker Carlos come across groups of nocturnal animals fleeing the scary Shadow Jungle region. With help from Ryder and the PAW Patrol pups, Tracker and Carlos must brave their fear of the dark and stop a new villain, Lucita Mala, before she forever turns nighttime into daytime.

Premiering this holiday season, the second special, "A PAW Patrol Christmas," will follow Rubble as he looks forward to Santa bringing him a new laser drill, but things take a turn when Santa comes down with a cold and can't deliver any presents. When Mayor Humdinger decides he's going to the North Pole to take all the gifts for himself, it will take all the PAW Patrol pups to stop him.

The fur-tastic fun kicks off next month with all-new Fire Rescue episodes of PAW Patrol premiering Monday, June 2, through Thursday, June 5, at 10 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. When things get a little too hot around Adventure Bay, Marshall and the pups suit up in protective fire-equipped gear and vehicles to save the day. Then, Skye, Liberty and Everest rev up a cool new RV for a high-stakes triple rescue of a missing baby moose, rabbit and bear in the half-hour special, "Skye's Road Trip Rescue," premiering Friday, July 11, at 11 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. PAW Patrol will continue airing regularly all summer long, Monday through Thursday at 10 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

A fully branded Routemaster bus, decked out in PAW Patrol imagery, will take fans on a sightseeing tour of some of London’s top tourist locations whilst they enjoy a traditional afternoon tea.
Paramount Consumer Products & Experiences UK has partnered with London-based patisserie, Brigit’s Bakery, to create the first ever Paw Patrol Afternoon Tea Bus Tour.
A fully branded Routemaster bus, decked out in Paw Patrol imagery, will take fans on a sightseeing tour of some of London’s top tourist locations whilst they enjoy a traditional afternoon tea. Along the way, guests will participate in a Paw Patrol-themed challenge which will see them saving Mayor Goodway, the beloved Mayor of Adventure Bay, who has got lost in the big city with her pet chicken, Chickaletta.
In addition to specially designed puzzles and challenges, bespoke content voiced by the PAW Patrol leader, Ryder will feature on the onboard screens. A live actor will also play the role of the bus conductor, interacting with guests to enhance their experience.
The tour is themed after To The Rescue, the property's current global campaign.
The tours will commence on 1st July and take in iconic London sights like the King’s Road, the River Thames, Battersea Power Station, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and more.
