President Barack Obama: "I Had A Soft Spot For SpongeBob"

President Obama on Monday tried to find common ground with young voters while hitting the campaign trail for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton - by giving a shoutout to some favorite childhood TV shows!

"Think about where we were eight years ago - I just realized some of you were, like, 10," Obama joked during a rally on the campus of the University of Michigan Monday, just one day before Election Day.

"Some of you were - let's admit it - while I was out there campaigning, you were watching the Disney Channel."

Obama gave them a pass, he said, because he used to watch the same shows with his daughters.

“I loved iCarly, I got you,” Obama said, referring to Nickelodeon's hit original comedy series, which the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, guest starred on during its fourth season in 2012.

"I know, because I was sitting there, I had a soft spot for SpongeBob," he continued. "SpongeBob was my favorite."
