Parents, relatives and friends were asked to nominate their real-life little heroes in the PAW Patrol Little Heroes PAW Awards 2018, and eight finalists were chosen from hundreds of entries.
Based on the personalities of the heroic pups from Nick Jr.'s beloved CG-animated preschool series, the awards champion little ones who deserve to be recognised for the challenges they have faced in their lives and how they have touched the lives of others.
The winners spent the weekend at Gloworm Festival with a special VIP glamping experience, as well as attending the exclusive awards ceremony. JB Gill, former JLS band member turned farmer, was on hand to present the trophies, medals and certificates to all the deserving winners alongside favourite PAW Patrol pups Chase and Marshall.
“The ceremony was certainly emotional – there was not a dry eye in the house,” said Charlotte Yates, marketing manager at Spin Master UK. “The bravery, courage and pure selflessness of these little unsung heroes is truly inspirational, and we are very honoured to be able to recognise their incredible achievements with these awards. We are looking forward to making the awards even bigger and better in 2019, so watch this space.”
Awards included the Zuma Award for Showing Maturity Beyond their Years, the Rocky Award for Helping the Community, the Ryder Award for PDSA Pet Hero of the Year, the Rubble Award for Overcoming Adversity, the Skye Award for Outstanding Bravery, the Everest Award for Inspiring Friendship, the Marshall Award for Unwavering Loyalty to others and the Chase Award for Leading by Example.
The PAW Patrol Little Heroes PAW Awards Winners 2018 are:

She may only be four years old but little Ivy Metcalfe has been a rock during her mum’s cancer treatment.
And for showing maturity beyond her years, Ivy, of Yarm, is getting a day out in London after being announced as one of only eight national award winners.
Parents across the country were asked to nominate their real-life little heroes in the inaugural PAW Patrol Little Heroes Paw Awards 2018.
The eight awards, based on the heroic pups from the much-loved Nick Jr. TV show, champion little ones who deserve to be recognised for the challenges they have faced in their lives and how they have touched the lives of others.
And this weekend, Ivy will receive ‘The Zuma Award for showing Maturity Beyond Their Years’ because of her unwavering support for her family, and especially mum Sammy, through a difficult time.
Sammy, who nominated Ivy for the award, said: “I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and am currently going through chemotherapy which has been tough for the whole family. Ivy has wowed us all with how she has handled the situation.
“Despite only being four, when she sees me struggling, Ivy says ‘Don’t worry mummy, I’ll do it, you’re too poorly’.
“She helps so much with her eight-month-old sister Etta, even making both of them a little breakfast and entertaining her in the mornings.
“She’s been totally selfless and makes me super proud every single day. This award is the perfect way to say thank you to her, especially as my chemotherapy will have finished by then so it will be a lovely celebration for us all.”
Before Sammy’s treatment, she donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust, who provide real hair wigs for children going through chemotherapy.
She added: “After seeing the choice of wigs, it’s definitely a worthy cause.
“I am also extremely grateful to the Willow Foundation who provide special days for young people going through serious illnesses, as they are giving us something for us as a family to look forward to after all the chemotherapy – it really means the world to us.”
Ivy will attend an exclusive award ceremony with her seven fellow winners, during a VIP glamping weekend at the upcoming Gloworm Festival near Nottingham.
She’ll receive a certificate and medal straight from the paws of some of PAW Patrol’s best loved characters, take home lots of goodies and enjoy all the fun the festival.

A five-year-old boy from Leighton Buzzard met PAW Patrol pups when he was presented with an award for Helping the Community. Kaidan Rowdon, of Heath and Reach, was one of eight winners to receive an award at the PAW Patrol Little Heroes PAW Awards 2018.

He won The Rocky Award for Helping the Community after raising hundreds of pounds for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity that supports bereaved families of soldiers. Kaidan was presented with his award at the Gloworm Festival on Sunday, August 19, where he met former JLS singer JB Gill and PAW Patrol pups Chase and Marshall.

He said: “It was ‘squilliant’ (better than brilliant!) getting my award and medal!
“I loved meeting my favourite pups and JB. He was really nice too, he let mummy take his photo with me.
“I still can’t believe I won. The other children were very nice, one saved a doggy!”

Brave Brandon receives his award for bravery
Worksop youngster, Brandon Craske-Playfoot, seven, who suffers from cerebral palsy and has battled serious medical difficulties since birth has received The Skye Award for Outstanding Bravery at the PAW Patrol Little Heroes PAW Awards 2018 ceremony.
The ceremony was part of the Gloworm Festival in Thoresby Park in Nottinghamshire on Sunday, August 19.
JB Gill, former JLS band member, was on hand to present the awards , which are based on PAW Patrol characters, to all the deserving winners alongside favourite PAW Patrol pups Chase and Marshall.
Brandon was born on June 1, 2011, but did not take his first breath for 12 minutes, leaving him with severe brain damage and cerebral palsy.
The brave boy is well known to the Worksop community, who have rallied around to raise thousands of pounds to pay for major surgery as well as specialist equipment.
