CBS Sports and Nickelodeon Deliver Most-Watched NFL Christmas Day Game Since 1989
With More Than 29 Million Viewers
CBS Sports has announced that CBS Sports and Nickelodeon averaged 29.171 million viewers for the Las Vegas Raiders-Kansas City Chiefs Christmas Day Game, up +29% versus last year's game between the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams!
The game peaked with 37.163 million viewers.
The Nickmas Game is Nickelodeon's most-watched Christmas Day program in an early afternoon timeslot (1:00-4:00 PM ET) in 10 years with 893,000 viewers!
Paramount+ scored triple-digit Year-Over-Year (YOY) growth in households, minutes and Average Minute Audience (AMA) versus last year's matchup.
Viewership figures are based on data from Nielsen Fast Nationals, with the final numbers expected to be released on Thursday, December 28.
Highlights from the "Nick-ified" Nickmas game on Nickelodeon included: the return of the Nickelodeon Blimp, Snow Yeti, and Slime Canons, plus the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a Taylor Swift reaction cam, a pizza cannon, and Raiders defensive tackle Bilal Nichols being named Nickelodeon Valuable Player (NVP). There was also a special half-time sneak peek of the network's upcoming brand new Nicktoon, Rock Paper Scissors, premiering Monday, February 12, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
Nickelodeon will next be bringing Super Bowl LVIII down to Bikini Bottom for a special presentation featuring SpongeBob SquarePants and his undersea friends on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. (ET).
