A spin-off from the short-form series of the same name featured on All That and KaBlam!, Action League Now! is a stop-motion series which follows a team of five super heroes - The Flesh, Thundergirl, Stinky Diver, Meltman and The Chief - who protect the world from the evil Mayor.

Created by Robert Mittenthal (It's PonyThe Loud HouseThe Naked Brothers BandThe Henry & June Show100 Deeds for Eddie McDowdRugratsThe Adventures of Pete & PeteWelcome FreshmenWelcome to the Wayne), Will McRobb (Rocko's Modern Life, Doug, The Ren & Stimpy Show, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Snow Day, Radio Free Roscoe, The Naked Brothers Band, Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, Sanjay and Craig, Welcome Freshmen), and Albie Hecht (SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Blue’s Clues, Ryan's Mystery Playdate), the show was made using "chuckimation", a combination of stop-frame animation and live-action shots where things, including various action figures, toys, and dolls are simply thrown ("chucked") or dropped into frame or wiggled around to simulate talking. Many of the characters were voiced by radio personalities from Pittsburgh.
