'Henry Danger' Spin-Off Reportedly Stalls at Nickelodeon

A planned Henry Danger spin-off has reportedly been shelved.

A planned spin-off from Nickelodeon's superhero comedy franchise Henry Danger has reportedly been shelved.

The news follows Production Weekly revealing in April 2025 that an Untitled Henry Danger Spinoff was heading into production, following the success of Henry Danger: The Movie earlier that year.

However, it seems that Paramount and Nickelodeon may have had a change of Hart, so to speak. In a post on his official X/Twitter page, Joe Menendez, who directed the movie, revealed that whilst a Henry Danger spin-off was being written, the project never actually got past the writing stage.

Although not confirmed, it is thought that the decision to not move forward on the spin-off may be down to the Paramount-Skydance merger. In the lead up to the merger, Paramount Global had to undertake a series of cost-cutting measures, which have continued post merger.

At the time of posting, little-to-no information about the proposed spin-off has been revealed, however, it was speculated that the spin-off would have been aimed towards an older audience who grew up watching the original series. It has also been rumored that the spin-off would have been produced as a mini-series for Netflix. However, none of these rumors have been confirmed.

Henry Danger debuted on Nickelodeon in July 2014 and ran for 128 episodes across five seasons. The series follows the adventures of Henry Hart (Jace Norman) who gets selected by superhero Captain Man (Cooper Barnes) to be his apprentice. After promising to keep his new identity a secret, Henry must navigate a double life balancing the challenges of high school with the crazy adventures of a crime fighter. The series also stars Riele Downs as “Charlotte Page,” Sean Ryan Fox as “Jasper Dunlop,” Ella Anderson as “Piper Hart,” Michael D. Cohen as “Schwoz Schwartz,” and Jeffrey Nicholas Brown as “Jake Hart.”

Following the events of the series finale, the franchise continued in the spin-off Danger Force, which follows four ordinary kids who accidentally acquire extraordinary superpowers as they struggle to keep their identities a secret. Under the guidance of indestructible veteran superhero Captain Man and his odd-but-brilliant assistant Schwoz, the team battles the many villains they accidentally released from Swellview prison years ago. Along with Barnes and Cohen reprising their respective roles, the series starred Havan Flores as “Chapa”, Terrence Little Gardenhigh as “Miles”, Dana Heath as “Mika”, and Luca Luhan as “Bose.”

In 2025, Kid Danger returned in Henry Danger: The Movie, which picks up on the superhero's latest adventures in Dystopia. The film features Jace Norman, Sean Ryan Fox and Ella Anderson reprising their repspective fan-favorite roles, along with franchise regular Frankie Grande as “Frankini,” as well as new cast member, Glee Dango, as “Missy Martin/Superfan.”
