Bosses at Pleasure Beach Resort Blackpool have made a major announcement on its 2026 season.
For the second year in a row, the park will open its gates early - as part of a wider push to extend the town’s tourist season beyond the traditional summer months.
The theme park will open Nickelodeon Land throughout the February 2026 half term holiday (Saturday, February 14 until Sunday, February 22). Tickets will be priced at £25, significantly lower than the cost of a standard eTicket price.
But it’s the return of the ‘Adventure Package’ that is expected to be the biggest hit with families - for £40 per person, it includes a Nickelodeon Land eTicket, entry to Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, a round of Adventure Golf and a skating session at Pleasure Beach Resort Arena with free skate hire included.
Families can choose any day of the half term period to carry out each of the four activities and they don’t need to be redeemed the same day, making it easier to keep children occupied over the school break. The package represents savings of more than 50 per cent, as booking each adventure individually would usually cost £82.
The extended season was trialled in 2025 and was described by the resort as a success, forming part of a broader effort to attract visitors to Blackpool throughout the year rather than just during peak holiday periods.
Amanda Thompson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pleasure Beach Resort, said: “Last year was the first time in over 10 years that we opened for February half term and it exceeded our expectations. As a resort, it's important we come together and remind people that Blackpool really is open for business all year round. The Illuminations have only just been switched off and we’re already gearing up for what’s next, with February half term a key trading period for the town.
“Families are always looking for cost-friendly activities at this time of year, and where better to make memories than here in Blackpool. The ‘Adventure Package’ takes the stress out of planning activities over the school break, too.”
The announcement follows comments made late last year indicating the resort was actively looking to extend its operating season.
What to expect at Nickelodeon Land
Nickelodeon Land has 12 themed rides, including Avatar Airbender, Krusty Krab Order Up, Dora’s World Voyage, and two wooden rollercoasters. There will also be the chance to meet and take photos with family-favourite characters such as the
PAW Patrol Pups, Skye, Marshall and Chase, and the gang from
SpongeBob SquarePants.

In addition to Nickelodeon Land, February half term guests can ride Wallace & Gromit’s Thrill-O-Matic, which was updated last summer to incorporate characters from the newest film, Vengeance Most Fowl.
Full opening
Pleasure Beach will open in full from Saturday March 7, and eTickets are available for a discounted ‘March Weekends’ price of £30 until March 29.
And it’s tipped to be big year for the world-famous attraction. Not only is Pleasure Beach celebrating 130 years of operation in 2026, but it’s due to welcome its new ride, Aviktas, in the spring. Whilst its opening date has not yet been announced, the £8.72m spinning pendulum ride will offer 'epic views of the coastline' as it reaches 138 feet at its tallest point.
Standard eTickets, Nickelodeon Land eTickets, and the Adventure Package can be booked online now at
www.pleasurebeachresort.com. When booking the Adventure Package, guests need to select their chosen date on the Pleasure Beach website, then choose ‘Adventure Package’ as the ticket type on the next page.
The Pleasure Beach Resort first opened its doors to the public back in 1896 and has since gone on to hold the title of the UK's tallest for nearly 30 years, in the form of The Big One, and welcomed millions of visitors.
