Bill Burnett, the co-creator of ChalkZone - and who is credited with giving Butch Hartman the title Fairly OddParents for his animated series - recently released Bill Burnett's ChalkZone SONGSTASH, a brand new digital album featuring "a secret stash of ChalkZone related songs" from Nickelodeon's popular noughties animated series! The album is available to purchase today on Bandcamp.
"ChalkZone fans, here's me, ChalkZone's creator, presenting a whole slew of ChalkZone songs like you've never heard them before!," reads the synopsis. "Obscure alternate versions, demos, behind-the-scenes recordings and a complete set of liner notes straight from me to you. You're gonna want to purchase this!".
The album also features animation director John Fountain, who worked on Nicktoons such as Fairly OddParents, My Life As a Teenage Robot and Invader ZIM, who performs and curates alternative versions of various ChalkZone music!
The album's cover art is designed by Espen Knight with illustration by Carlos Ramos.
Created by Bill Burnett and Larry Huber for Nickelodeon, ChalkZone originally aired as part of Fred Seibert's Oh Yeah! Cartoons animated shorts showcase in 1998. The series ran on Nickelodeon USA from March 22, 2002 through August 23, 2008, with 40 episodes in total. It was produced by Frederator Studios and Nickelodeon Animation Studio. ChalkZone starred voice artists E. G. Daily, Hynden Walch, Candi Milo, Robert Cait, Jess Harnell, Miriam Flynn, Rodger Bumpass, Jim Cummings, Rosslynn Taylor and Rob Paulsen.

IDW Publishing has revealed plans to release an art book for Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Nickelodeon's 2018 iteration of the iconic Heroes in a Half Shell!
"From preproduction sketches to final episode designs, this book offers fans an inside look at the creative process that brought Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to life," the official synopsis for The Art of Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reads. "Discover concept art, character development, and background designs that capture the series’ distinct style. Featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes commentary from the cast and crew, and the evolution of iconic characters like Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and April, this collection celebrates the innovation that made the show a standout in the franchise."
The title will feature forewords by series co-creators Andy Suriano and Ant Ward.
The book is by author Colin Stein, an Emmy Award–winning VFX artist based in Oklahoma City with over a decade of experience in marketing and design. Stein is a longtime fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and his deep appreciation and knowledge of the franchise led him to create The Art of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. His background in visual effects has fueled his passion for design and animation.
The Art of Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is slated to be released in hardcover format on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 Tuesday, April 14, 2026, and is available to preorder now, including on Amazon.com.
