For the 3rd year running, JHB Zoo has joined up with kids and family favourite, Nickelodeon Africa (DStv channel 305), to celebrate the spookiest date of the year with a feast of How'loween activities for kids and adults alike, including fun sing-a-longs with SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer, trick or treating, a movie screening of the brand-new Nickelodeon Original Movie "Liar, Liar Vampire", haunted zones, clowns, stilt walkers, balloon sculptures and face painting! For the first time ever this year, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be joining the other-worldly line-up, flexing their muscles, and show casing their ninjitsu skills as only they know how!
Visitors are encouraged to dress up in their most creative How'loween costumes, pack their picnic baskets with tasty treats and enjoy a yummy night-time snack amongst the flickering fairy lights...Kids wearing the best costumes will be awarded prizes!
Café Fino restaurant is getting into the spirit of the occasion too, with tempting How'loween delicacies for all the family to enjoy, while Dads in particular will appreciate the giant screen where they can watch the Grand Final of the Rugby World Cup.
Joburg Zoo Upper Park lot is under construction, so please use the Military Musuem, Erlswold Way and Saxonworld Primary as alternative parking. Shuttles will be available from Saxonworld Primary and Zoo lake.
Tickets cost R100 per adult and R60 each for pensioners and children from 4-12 years.
Gates open from 08:30am - 21:00pm, Halloween activities start at 10:00am.
