Nick Crowns New Nickelodeon Studios Complex With Logo

Construction on the brand-new Nickelodeon Studios is very nearly completed, and to celebrate, the writing team of Nickelodeon's brand new show, The Loud House and Jeff Sornig, an intern on the Nickelodeon animated series Pig Goat Banana Cricket, have shared fantastic photos of Nickelodeon adding one of the most important additions to the exterior of the networks new building - the world famous Nickelodeon logo - on Wednesday 20th April 2016, which you can check below!:

@TheLoudWriters: The new Nick building has officially been branded. It's looking pretty "siiiiiick" as Lincoln's bike gang would say.

@Sornigrafix: The new @NickAnimation building got a splash of awesome installed today! #NickAnimation25.

Set to open in Fall 2016, the new Nickelodeon Studios will be a state of the art creative complex in the heart of Burbank, California...and best of all, it'll be open to the public!

The new Nickelodeon Studios will be a state-of-the-art five-story glass structure that will unite the entire Nickelodeon family in a single facility and will be a hub for the entire animation industry.

As the new site will house both live action and Nicktoon productions, the studio will also officially change its name from Nickelodeon Animation Studio to simply Nickelodeon Studios.

The opening will coincide with Nickelodeon Animation's 25th anniversary in 2016 - the networks three original animated series, "Rugrats", "Doug" and "Ren & Stimpy" premiered on Sunday 11th August 1991 - and one of the goals for the new facility is to draw upon that history.

The creative campus is designed as an open and inviting space where employees feel the freedom and inspiration of an artists' retreat. Among the perks will be an on-site restaurant and coffee shop, a central courtyard with designated lecture space and a music room.

A Nickelodeon Studios app will include a rundown of events for the day including guest speakers, tours and screenings, and allow for easy communication and scheduling across all departments. Observing that creative ideas spring more frequently from casual interactions than forced meetings, Nickelodeon wants to seize the opportunity for greater collaboration and mobility between Nick’s various production arms.

More than just a base for Nickelodeon, Nickelodeon will open the studio up to the community with tours and programs targeted at aspiring animators, aficionados of the form and industry professionals.
