UPDATE: Nickelodeon's "Bubble Guppies" NOT Cancelled

TV Series Finale is reporting the unfortunate news that Nickelodeon has decided to cancel and not renew the networks popular CG-animated series Bubble Guppies for a fifth season.

UPDATE (4/9/2017): Nickelodeon star Jet Jurgensmeyer (Legends of the Hidden Temple: The Movie has announced on Instagram that he is currently back in the recording studio recording dialogue for new Bubble Guppies!:

In the article, TV Series Finale cites a post on the Facebook fan page "Fans of Nick Jr, Disney Junior or PBS Kids Shows", in which the poster shares a message they received from actor Brianna Gentilella, who voices 'Molly' on the show, about the future of Bubble Guppies. In the message, Brianna says:

"I'm so thrilled that you love Bubble Guppies. We just finished recording 14 episodes for Season 4. Sadly this is our final season. It may come as a surprise to you but we've known for a long time that Season 4 would be our last for Bubble Guppies. Nickelodeon decided not to renew us any further than that. But there are still many new episodes to come. And I hope you continue to enjoy this final season."

Bubble Guppies originally premiered on Nickelodeon USA on January 24, 2011 and has ran for 80 episodes over four seasons, with the reportedly last season of Bubble Guppies ending on Friday 21st October 2016.

Bubble Guppies, the top rated CG-animated series set in a vibrant underwater environment, follows a group of diverse preschoolers with colorful fish tails who go on adventures discovering their world. Bubble Guppies is set to a soundtrack of catchy, educational pop songs and features a curriculum that infuses the core elements of kindergarten readiness including: math, literacy, the arts, science and socio-emotional development. While Nickelodeon has not confirmed the news, there has also been no announcement of a fifth season for the series.
