Viacom Promotes Peter Flamman To SVP Of Youth & Music And Kids & Family Brands, VIMN SWEMEA

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has promoted Peter Flamman to Senior Vice President (SVO) of Youth & Music and Kids & Family brands across Southern and Western Europe, Africa and the Middle East (SWEMEA). His new role comes on the heels of Viacom integrating Germany, Switzerland, Austria (GSA) and Benelux into the SWEMEA cluster.

Flamman will manage the company's kids' and family and youth and music brand portfolios, including Nickelodeon and MTV, in Benelux, GSA, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Malta and Turkey, as well as in Africa and the Middle East. He will lead original content development and production, content acquisitions, linear and multiplatform scheduling, content localization and operations, talent and artist management, marketing and communications, and the creative department of all brands and brand development.

In his new position, Flamman will be based in Madrid and report to Raffaele Annecchino, the President and Managing Director (MD) of VIMN SWEMEA. His new position follows a restructure that integrated GSA and Benelux with VIMN’s South Europe, Middle East and Africa cluster.

Flamman replaces Laura Abril, who is now the senior VP editorial, Iberia, covering Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon and Paramount Channel.

Flamman joined Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) in September 2015 as SVP of Brands for VIMN's North cluster, which covers Austria, Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, the Nordic markets and Poland.

Prior to joining VIMN, he worked at Turner Broadcasting for almost 15 years in London in a variety of roles including SVP and General Manager (GM) for Northern Europe and UK, SVP and MD of Kids Brands for EMEA, and SVP/COO (Chief Operating Officer) for Turner EMEA.

“I’m happy to announce Peter as our senior VP for the youth and music and kids’ and family brands,” said Annecchino. “Pete’s years of industry experience and great track record make him an excellent fit for the team and the perfect choice to lead these brands forward.”

“This is an exciting role in a dynamic organization,” added Flamman. “I’m delighted to be leading such diverse and talented teams and I’m looking forward to building on our successful glocal strategy for both of these key brand portfolios across the cluster.”

The news comes only a few months after former Nickelodeon exec David Lynn was named CEO of VIMN.
