Dunedin, NZ Actor Wins Role On "Power Rangers Ninja Steel"

A Dunedin, New Zealand actor is set to appear on the latest season of Saban's iconic, long-standing Power Rangers franchise!

Former King’s High School pupil Nick Beckwith, 25, will appear in upcoming episodes of Power Rangers Ninja Steel — the 24th season of the long-running television show.

The Sydney, Australia-based actor landed a speaking role in the show involving filming in Auckland for six weeks in November and December last year.

He had been sworn to secrecy about filming.

"I can’t say. I wish I could ... I haven’t even told my mother."

Power Rangers Ninja Steel premiered on Nickelodeon in the United States in January 2017, and he expects his episodes to air from August 2017.

He hopes the role would help him secure auditions in the United States.

The "incredibly large" fan-base of the show around the world had been speculating on the internet about his role since he announced it on social media. Some speculated he would play a character with an alliance with the five power ranger characters. "I enjoy reading what people think I’m going to be ... It’s interesting to see what they come up with."
