Stu Livingston Wins 'Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation' Emmy Award in the 70th Emmy Awards for His Work on 'Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie'

The Television Academy today announced Storyboard Artist Stu Livingston as one of the winners of the "Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation" award in the juried Animation and Motion Design categories of the 70th Emmy® Awards for his work on Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie, Nickelodeon's hit 2017 Original Movie featuring a storyline picking up where the original Hey Arnold! TV series ended, in which he served as co-director!

Arnold finally gets answers about the whereabouts of his missing parents in the highly anticipated, brand-new Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie! Featuring a storyline picking up where the original TV series ended, Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie follows the kids on the field trip of a lifetime, where Arnold and his friends embark on a quest to achieve his dream of finding his missing parents.

Co-written and executive produced by the TV series’ original creator Craig Bartlett, Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie features original voice cast members Francesca Marie Smith (The Prince of Egypt) as Helga and Anndi McAfee (Tom and Jerry: The Movie) as Phoebe, alongside dynamic new voice talent Mason Vale Cotton (Mad Men) as Arnold and Benjamin “Lil’ P-Nut” Flores, Jr. (Game Shakers) as Gerald.

Lane Toran (original voice of Arnold) and Jamil Walker Smith (original voice of Gerald) are also amongst the returning cast members, lending their voices as Che and Paulo, two members of the boat crew in San Lorenzo. Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2) stars as resident villain, Lasombra.

Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie made its world premiere on Friday 24th November 2017 on Nickelodeon USA, and has since rolled out on Nickelodeon channels and programming blocks globally. The movie is also available to purchase on DVD in select markets, including in the USA (Region 1) and in the UK (Region 2).

Following the success of the movie, Jim Lang, the composer on Nickelodeon's beloved '90s animated series Hey Arnold! and the recent "The Jungle Movie", recently revealed that, although Nickelodeon has no current plans to renew Hey Arnold! for a sixth season, a streaming service could pick it up.

A full list of the juried award winners for the 70th Emmy® Awards in the categories of Animation and Motion Design can be found here on SHOOTonline. The juried awards for these categories will be presented at the 2018 Creative Arts Awards ceremonies on Saturday, Sept. 8, and Sunday, Sept. 9.

Juried categories require all entrants to be screened by a panel of professionals in the appropriate peer group with the possibility of one, more than one, or no entry being awarded an Emmy. As a consequence, there are no nominees but instead a one-step evaluation and voting procedure. Deliberations include open discussions of each entrant’s work with a thorough review of the merits of awarding the Emmy. Only those with unanimous approval win.

The 2018 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, executive produced by Bob Bain, will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles beginning at 5PM PT on Saturday evening and at 4PM PT on Sunday evening. FXX will broadcast the awards on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 8PM ET/PT.

Congratulations to Stu Livingston and to all the recipients of the 2018 Creative Arts Emmy Awards!
