NickALive!'s pick of Nickelodeon news, highlights and more from around the internet!:

-- A huge congratulations to Power Rangers Ninja Steel and Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel Pink Ranger Chrysti Ane and her boyfriend, Fox's 9-1-1 star Ryan Guzman, who are expecting her first child! The parents-to-be have yet to find out the sex of their baby, but Guzman noted the two names they are deciding between: Mateo or Genevieve.

-- VidCon, the giant annual gathering of online influencers and their vast herds of young fans (not to mention the online-video industry that caters to them), will push its 2019 Anaheim flagship event into mid-July, dodging conflicts with both ad confab Cannes Lions and school schedules, and allowing more industry executives to attend, the company announced today. Tickets for VidCon U.S. 2019 will go on sale this fall, according to the company, and details on new programming and featured creators will be announced soon. Executive producer Julia Maes hinted that the event would feature “veteran talent” as well as “throwback activations.”

--VidCon also announced its first London spinoff show, after two European shows in Amsterdam. The London show, VidCon London will run Valentine's Weekend, from Feb. 14 to Feb. 17, at ExCeL London. The company's second three-day Australian show, in Melbourne, ended Sept. 2.!

-- Baptism at sea: a navy tribute to Neptune’s Arctic realm. It’s hard to tell if there’s a grin or a scowl on the gnarled face of Davy Jones, as he paces before a crowd of sailors gathered on the flight deck of HMCS Charlottetown. “Are ye ready folks?!” croaks the undead old salt, who has boarded the Canadian warship as a herald of the Sea King Neptune. “ARRR!” yell the sailors—currently called tadpoles—and the slew of them start singing the theme song to the Nickelodeon cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants.

-- VidCon is celebrating a big birthday next year, marking a decade since John and Hank Green launched what would become the world’s largest YouTube convention. Ten years later, the digital media industry has arrived at the forefront of the entertainment world, and VidCon itself was acquired earlier this year by Viacom, which also owns Nickelodeon and MTV.
