Nickelodeon Launches Nick Pet Cam

The world can seem like a scary place at the moment, with the on-going COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and widespread protests following the tragic death of George Floyd by police. To help make the world seem a little less scary, Nickelodeon in the U.S. has introduced viewers to Pet Cam.

The Nick Pet Cam box pops up in the bottom left corner of the screen (as a lower-third graphic) during shows, as like the name suggests, features short video clips of adorable pets of all kinds! Below is a video featuring the Nickelodeon Pet Cam popping up during an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants.

It's unclear when exactly Nickelodeon launched the Pet Cam, however, it's likely to be part of Nickelodeon's #KidsTogether multiplatform prosocial initiative.

For April Fools, NickALive! joked that Nickelodeon were launching Nick Jr. PAWS, a brand new channel just for pets. Could we be seeing a NickPAWS channel launched soon? ;)
