Nickelodeon gets Real Mature in this pilot for a sketch show from 1991!

Filmed at Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, Real Mature was set to be a kids-themed sketch comedy show with wacky themes and a different guest on each episode. The pilot featured Jennifer Badger, Jim Brewsky, Matt Brown, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodi Carlisle, Devin Clark, Maria Glenon, Jay Martel, Brian Edward O'Connor (as Brian O'Connor), and Christian Tessier.

Real Mature was produced by Eileen Braun, Geoffrey Darby, Roseanne Lopopolo and future Nickelodeon President Herb Scannell, who between them worked on many Nickelodeon shows, including: Clarissa Explains It All, Welcome Freshmen, The Weinerville Chanukah Special, The Weinerville New Year's Special: Lost in the Big Apple, Make the Grade, Double Dare, Nick Rocks Video House Party, Rated K: For Kids by Kids, You Can't Do That on Television, Rich Hall's TV Dinner Party, Finders Keepers, The Tomorrow People, What Would You Do?, Get the Picture, Hi Honey, I'm Home, and Mystery Magical Special.

"This was a pilot we made for ABC in the spring of 1991.  It aired on the ABC Network in the FCC mandated Family Viewing Hour Sunday at 7p." notes Darby in the video's description, adding "ultimately it was not picked up by ABC because the Network Ad Sales Team didn't know how to position it for the advertisers. It's the raw copy, so the commercial breaks are included. you will have to fast forward through them.  My apologies."
