Blue | Sandy Eames | AardBoiled Animated Short | AardBoiled

Neo is an autistic girl who has a special attachment to her blue pebble. Listening to music transports her to another world; a safe space for Neo to be her true self. The sound of the school bell interrupts her thoughts and brings her back to the harsh reality of life. Her blue pebble is the one constant that she can rely on to bring comfort at times of unpredictability.

"My name is Sandy and I am an animator from Kent in the UK. I am proud to say that I am autistic and went through most of my life undiagnosed. Now that I am aware that I have this unique view of the world, I hope my work helps to encourage and inspire others to embrace their differences and celebrate their quirks! My film, Sensory Overload, is my first work that touches on hidden disabilities, shortly followed by Blue; a stop motion animation about an autistic girl, Neo. I am currently teaching myself stop motion animation, with an aim to produce some exciting animated shorts that further explores neurodiversity."
