Paramount To 'Set The Stage' For 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' Comeback Later This Year

Avatar: The Last Airbender is set to make a major comeback over the next few years, with a series of movies set in the Avatarverse in the pipeline from Avatar Studios, the first of which, a currently untitled film featuring Avatar Aang and the rest of the Gaang as adults.

Although the release of the first Avatar: The Last Airbender movie is currently set to release in theaters on October 10, 2025, which is still a fair bit away at the time of posting, it seems that Paramount has some big plans for Avatar: The Last Airbender later this year!

Speaking to Toy World Magazine, Jamie Drew, executive vice president, Consumer Products & Experiences, Paramount Global, revealed that Paramount will be "setting the stage" for the long awaited reinvention of the iconic franchise later this year! Whilst Drew didn't give specifics, it seems like promotions for the movie are set to start later this year!
