Nickelodeon UK Tops Kids Channels Ratings With The UK Debut Of The Nickelodeon 2013 Kids' Choice Awards

Nickelodeon UK and Ireland has announced in the following Press Release the very exciting Nick UK News that the UK debut of the star-studded and slime-filled Nickelodeon's 2013 Kids' Choice Awards was the #1 rating broadcast across all kids' channels on Sunday 24th March. The premiere of the annual awards show, this year hosted by actor and the biggest kid in Hollywood, Josh Duhamel, garnered an average audience of 269,400 individuals including 187,700 kids aged 4-15, a 43% increase on last year's audience-winning viewership.

The #1 broadcast on Nickelodeon this year, the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards aired 6:00-7:30pm on Sunday, with viewership peaking at 220,200 kids.* The Awards preshow, the Kids' Choice Awards Countdown, which aired at 5:30pm and was hosted by Nickelodeon and "House of Anubis" Stars Brad Kavanagh and Alexandra Shipp, who play Fabian Rutter and KT Rush, respectively, on Nickelodeon's hit mystery drama series, HoA, with guest correspondent Daniella Monet from the hit Nickelodeon comedy series "Victorious", who captured all the orange carpet activities and behind-the-scenes action from the 2013 KCA's, also won its broadcast slot with an average audience of 124,800 kids 4-15 (189,100 individuals).

Nickelodeon's 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards took place at the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles where kids honoured their favourites from the worlds of film, music, sports and television. This year, a record-breaking 387 million votes were cast around the world in the 22 international categories. Winners of Nickelodeon's coveted Orange blimps include the popular Nickelodeon mystery drama series "House of Anubis", who won Favourite UK TV Show, UK Pop Stars One Direction, who won "Favourite UK Band", Olympic Diver Tom Daley, who won "Favourite UK Sports Star", as well as actors Johnny Depp (Favourite Movie Actor) and Kristen Stewart (Favourite Movie Actress).
