Nickelodeon USA Wins February 2014 With Kids And Total Viewers

Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced in the following press release, from TVByTheNumbers.com, the exciting Nickelodeon News that Nick USA closed February 2014 as the top basic cable network with Kids 2-11 (3.0/967K) and total viewers (1.8M), marking 13 straight months of prior-year gains with Kids 2-11! The network's February 2014 win was driven by hits in every genre: animation, live action and preschool.


In animation, Nickelodeon USA had the top four series among Kids 2-11, led by "SpongeBob SquarePants", which earned a 5.3/1.7M with Kids 2-11 and 3.3M total viewers. "Sanjay and Craig" came in second with Kids 2-11 (4.7/1.5M) and drew 2.8M total viewers. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" was the third leading animated series with Kids 2-11 (4.7/1.5M) and scored 3M total viewers. "Rabbids Invasion" rounded out the top four spots with Kids 2-11 (4.6/1.5M), while drawing 2.6M total viewers.

In live-action, Nickelodeon's latest hit "Every Witch Way" ranked as the number-one program with Kids 2-11 (4.7/1.5M, +24%) and scored the number two spot behind "Sam & Cat" with K6-11 (5.7/1.1M, +43%), averaging 2.6M total viewers. "Sam & Cat" was the leading live-action series with Kids 6-11 (5.8/1.1M, +53%) and drew 2.8M total viewers.

In preschool, "Wallykazam!", the net's brand-new curriculum-driven series teaching literacy, topped the month as TV's number-one preschool show among Kids 2-5 (6.9/853K, +50%). At number two, was "Paw Patrol" which averaged a 6.8/845K with preschoolers and posted ratings increases of +45% over a year ago.

Additionally, Nick launched a brand-new original animated series (NickToon) this month, "Breadwinners", the story of two booty-shaking ducks who deliver bread in a jet-fueled rocket van, which scored the number two spot for the week (behind only "SpongeBob SquarePants") with Kids 2-11 (5.4/1.7 million) with its President's Day debut (Monday 17th February 2014), and also drew 2.8 million total viewers.
