eOne Launching Ricky Zoom in Canada

The new Entertainment One (eOne) animated preschool property Ricky Zoom is set to be broadcast on Corus Entertainment’s Treehouse in Canada.

The first season of the series is slated to bow on Treehouse on October 5. This broadcast partnership follows Nickelodeon’s acquisition of the broadcast rights to Ricky Zoom in the U.S. and Nelvana’s appointment as licensing agent for the title for the region across all categories.

Ricky Zoom is also slated to air on Nick Jr. and Channel 5’s Milkshake (the U.K.), Super RTL (Germany), Clan TV (Spain), Gulli (France), Rai (Italy), Youku (China), Discovery Kids (Latin America), Karusel (Russia), Minika Cocuk (Turkey) and Spacetoon (MENA), with additional deals in the pipeline.

This follows recent news that Nickelodeon has acquired the broadcast rights to Ricky Zoom in the U.S. Nelvana has also been appointed as the licensing agent for the region across all categories.

Entertainment One has announced that the preschool animated property, “Ricky Zoom,” is set to launch in Canada with both broadcast and licensing representation.

Corus Entertainment’s Treehouse in Canada will join “Ricky Zoom’s” collection of international broadcasters by launching series one of the programs later this month. Along with the deal, Nelvana has been appointed as the licensing agent for the brand in the region.
