Amanda Bynes & Paul Michael Not Expecting First Baby

Update (5/5) - Amanda Bynes‘ lawyer, David Esquibias, has revealed that the actor is not pregnant, nearly two months after she announced that she was expecting a child with fiancé Paul Michael. “She is not living in a sober living facility,” he told Us Weekly. “She’s sheltering at a safe environment.”

Baby on board! Amanda Bynes is pregnant with her first child. The news comes after she reunited with her fiancé, Paul Michael, hours after calling off their engagement.

The Nickelodeon alum's fiancé, from whom she split on March 8 after getting engaged in February, announced that the two are going to be parents by posting two photos via Instagram on Tuesday, March 17.

“Baby in the making,” he captioned an old selfie of the pair. He also shared a second photo of their baby’s first ultrasound with Bynes’ name listed on the image.

“Baby on board,” the The Amanda Show star, 33, wrote via Instagram on the same sonogram photo.

While the couple later deleted their posts, a source confirmed the news to Us Weekly: “Amanda is just barely pregnant and she is very happy.”

Earlier in the day, the former actor was spotted at an OBGYN’s office in Los Angeles. She was in the waiting room with a female friend, according to an eyewitness.

The What a Girl Wants star was there to have an ultrasound, the eyewitness tells Us exclusively: “[The friends] were chatting about what to expect” during the visit.

“She seemed excited,” the insider revealed, noting that Michael was not at the appointment. “She was dressed casual and keeping a low profile. The lobby was pretty empty so no one bugged her.”

Congratulations Amanda & Amanda! :)

The Easy A actor last posted a photo with Michael via Instagram on March 9, one day after taking down all of the photos of herself with him. “My love,” Bynes wrote alongside the image with a black heart emoji.

Following the couple’s split, Michael told In Touch that the California native was still his “best friend.”

Shortly after Us confirmed the rift, a source admitted that Bynes was “really upset” about the breakup and she wasn’t “taking it well at all.”

“Paul realized the relationship just couldn’t go forward because of the obstacles of the conservatorship and Amanda must live at a sober living facility,” the source added.

The insider explained that Michael had reservations about their romance after popping the question because of the former child star’s complicated conservatorship agreement that she’s been under since 2014.

After her March 5 conservatorship meeting with a judge, Bynes was ordered to seek psychiatric care, Us confirmed on March 9.

She reportedly agreed to enter a mental health treatment facility, but then refused to check herself in after leaving the courthouse.

Bynes has also been working on an exciting passion project, she revealed in February during a check-in with her Instagram followers, something she is "really looking forward to."

"I'm really looking forward to starting my clothing line, and I'm hoping that in the near future it will be out online," she teased at the time.

Amanda Bynes Is 'Seeking Treatment for Mental Health Issues,' Says Lawyer: 'We Ask for Privacy'

"We ask for any speculation about her personal life from the public and the media to cease so Amanda can focus on getting better," Amanda Bynes' lawyer tells PEOPLE

Amanda Bynes is focusing on her health.

After returning to Instagram in December following a two-month hiatus, Bynes, 33, revealed on Valentine’s Day her engagement to Paul Michael, a man she met at her former sober living home in late 2019.

Just three weeks later, the couple split — but on Monday night both Michael, 28, and Bynes announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child together in posts that have since been deleted from their accounts.

Now, Bynes’ lawyer David Esquibias is asking for privacy on behalf of his client, who he says “is seeking treatment for ongoing mental health issues.”

“Any reports that Amanda is suffering from drug or alcohol addiction issues are completely false,” continues Esquibias in a statement. “We ask for privacy during this time, and for any speculation about her personal life from the public and the media to cease so Amanda can focus on getting better.”

A source close to Bynes previously told PEOPLE she had been residing in a sober living facility but recently checked into a treatment center for continuing care of mental health issues.

Bynes previously entered a treatment facility in January 2019 after she started struggling following a return to the public eye.

“Amanda is still inpatient in a mental health facility,” a friend of Bynes told PEOPLE last June after she attended her graduation from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. “She was able to get an outing pass for a few hours for the special occasion so she could walk with the other students. But she left a little early and was back at the facility at the end of the graduation.”

In a November 2018 cover story with Paper, Bynes — whose mother Lynn has been her conservator since 2014 following several legal run-ins — opened up about her mental health and addiction struggles.

Earlier this month, Bynes marked 14 months of sobriety on Instagram. “Celebrating being sober a year and two months!” she captioned photos of herself spending time with friends.

From Blasting News US:

Amanda Bynes' pregnancy could lead to a custody battle due to conservatorship

Amanda Bynes's pregnancy could find the former "Nickelodeon" star facing even more courtroom drama in the near future. According to TMZ reports, the 33-year-old actress could potentially lose custody of her baby due to her conservatorship.

Amanda Bynes, who revealed her pregnancy news via social media on Tuesday, is roughly around six weeks pregnant, and already there is talk of possible custody issues due to Bynes' mental health issues. The "She's the Man" star is currently undergoing treatment in a psychiatric facility.

TMZ reports that due to the rules of Amanda's conservatorship, which is run by her parents, Amanda could be forced to give up her custody rights.

Amanda Bynes unaware that custody plans for her baby are underway

Bynes' attorney, David Esquibias claims that Amanda is not in treatment for drug or alcohol addiction, but, did confirm that she is in treatment for her ongoing mental health issues. He also added that he was not confirming his client's pregnancy, and felt it was premature to speculate over a custody issue.

Despite Bynes' attorney's statement to TMZ, the celebrity news site states that they were told that Amanda's father and her fiance Paul Michael have been making plans to share custody of the baby. At this time, it is revealed that Bynes is unaware of the potential custody plans being made by her family. As previously reported by Blasting News, Amanda Bynes announced her engagement to Paul Michael on Valentine's Day, revealing she had found the "love of her life."

Amanda Bynes and Paul Michael's pregnancy reveal deleted from social media

Since Amanda had only known Paul Michael for about two months after meeting in rehab, her mom Lynn Bynes was not thrilled with her daughter's engagement news.

Amanda also announced recently that she had every intention to fight her parents in court to be released from the conservatorship that is run by her parents. Bynes feels that she is in a place in her life now where she is ready to handle all of her own life decisions and finances.

Her mother, Lynn, disagrees, and feels Amanda needs to remain in a "controlled environment." Lynn also has the power to keep Amanda from marrying Michael.

So, if momma Bynes is unhappy about the engagement, one can only believe that she is less than thrilled about Amanda's pregnancy.

Paul Michael and Amanda Bynes' future up in the air
Amanda's conservatorship has been in place since 2013 after Bynes underwent court-ordered psychiatric care after the troubled actress set off a fire in front of a Thousand Oaks home. Recently Amanda's mental health was called into question once again after the actress made mention of her celebrity obsession Drake on social media.

Celebrity news followers will well remember Amanda Bynes's alarming and explicit social media posts about Drake back in 2013 during her very public downfall.

In light of Amanda's pregnancy, one can only think that her life is only going to get harder along the way between herself and her parents.

From Yahoo! via AOL:

Amanda Bynes 'seeking treatment' for mental health amid pregnancy reports

Amanda Bynes is seeking treatment for her mental health. A lawyer for the former Nickelodeon star denied speculation she’s getting help for substance-abuse issues and asked for privacy.

"Any reports that Amanda is suffering from drug or alcohol addiction issues are completely false," her attorney tells Yahoo Entertainment. "She is seeking treatment for ongoing mental health issues. We ask for privacy during this time, and for any speculation about her personal life from the public and the media to cease so Amanda can focus on getting better."

The news comes one day after Bynes announced she’s pregnant.

The She's the Man star and her ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, both shared on Instagram that they are expecting their first child together. The posts have since been deleted. Michael, whom Bynes met at the end of 2019 through a sobriety program, shared an ultrasound photo with the actress’s name on it. He captioned his post, "Baby in the making." People confirmed she is pregnant.

Bynes, 33, and Michael announced their engagement on Valentine’s Day. They split three weeks later.

"I love her though, she’s my best friend," he told In Touch earlier this month, adding that they were on good terms.

They have reportedly reunited.

A source told E! News in February, "Amanda's parents are fully aware of her engagement and at this point are not approving Amanda to legally get married under the conservatorship."

A conservatorship was granted in 2013 after Bynes underwent court-ordered psychiatric care for setting a small fire in front of a Thousand Oaks home.

In a 2018 interview with Paper magazine, the She’s All That star detailed her past substance-abuse issues. She said she started smoking marijuana when she was 16, which eventually "progressed to doing molly and ecstasy." Bynes admitted she "definitely abused Adderall." As for her mental health issues, she said, "It definitely isn’t fun when people diagnose you with what they think you are."

"That was always really bothersome to me," she explained. "If you deny anything and tell them what it actually is, they don’t believe you. Truly, for me, [my behavior] was drug-induced, and whenever I got off of [drugs], I was always back to normal."

Amanda, who graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in June 2019, had a relapse months later. She reportedly checked into a sober living facility. Earlier this month, she celebrated 14 months of sobriety.

The conservatorship is reportedly set to last until August.
