Noggin Launches on Apple TV in Over 25 Territories

Noggin, Nickelodeon's award-winning interactive learning subscription service for preschoolers, is now available through the channels offering on the Apple TV app in over 25 territories, including the U.S., U.K., Germany, Poland, France and multiple regions in Southeast Asia.


New Noggin users receive a free seven-day trial through Apple TV channels. Subscribers can watch online or download long- and short-form Nick Jr. content, featuring shows such as PAW Patrol, Dora the Explorer, Shimmer and Shine, Blaze and the Monster Machines, The Wonder Pets! and more, in over 20 languages on the Apple TV app. Through Family Sharing, up to six family members can share subscriptions to Apple TV channels using just their Apple ID and password.

“Offering our iconic kids content to Apple TV subscribers in more than 25 territories is an important step in advancing our international premium streaming strategy,” said David Lynn, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ViacomCBS Networks International. “With the launch of Noggin on Apple TV channels, we’re excited to reach even more kids and families on a platform that they’re already using.”

Noggin, which launched in the U.S. 2015, offers over 1,000 ad-free episodes led by your children’s favorite Nick Jr. characters. Content is developed by curriculum experts with over 30 years of preschool edutainment experience. The service has consistently ranked at the top of the country’s charts in the Family and Kids categories. The service is also available in Latin America and Brazil.


The news comes as Nickelodeon announces plans to offer the network's direct-to-consumer interactive learning service for preschoolers for free for three months starting next week to millions of kids in need in the U.S. during the coronavirus epidemic through the help of national partner organizations, including the National Head Start Association and First Book. Noggin’s free trial period will also be extended to 60 days to all new subscribers, effective at the end of the month. The ad-free educational content on Noggin currently includes over 1,000 iconic, full-length episodes, short-form videos, and hundreds of interactive learning games and ebooks featuring preschoolers’ favorite characters and more

The Apple TV app is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, select Samsung and LG smart TVs, and Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices.

In a move to further expand the educational value of Nickelodeon’s Noggin, the network has acquired Sparkler, an early childhood learning technology platform in March 2019, and installed its co-founder Kristen Kane as the new leader for the direct-to-consumer preschool subscription service.

Update (2/4) - Noggin is extending its trial period from seven days to two months for new users through Apple TV channels on the Apple TV app in over 25 territories.

Noggin launched globally on Apple TV last month. The extended two-month trial period will be available to new users who subscribe to Noggin through Apple TV channels on the Apple TV app.
