The 14-year-old will be starring in Nickelodeon's upcoming second season of TV series, Ready Set Dance.

"It would be really cool (if I get recognised after it airs)," she told the Illawarra Mercury.

"I think everyone at my studio will be like, 'oh my God, she's on the show', which will be really exciting."

Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts year 9 student Arielle, who also studies at Joanne Grace School of Dance, was alerted to the auditions for the show by her teacher, and eventually landed a role.

Arielle is part of a group of young people taking over the dancefloor as part of the 'Kid Crew' in the Australian-produced series which airs on Nick Jr. channels globally.

The new season was filmed over a couple of weeks in January.

Aimed at pre-schoolers, each of the season's 15 new episodes will run for seven minutes in duration, and feature a signature dance move.

"I did mostly ballet stuff, but I was featured in some of the other genres," she said.

The show is based on a class-based dance program for preschoolers also called 'Ready Set Dance'.

"All the people on the show were really supportive, and it's been really fun," Arielle said.

"All the dances are upbeat, which makes it even more fun, and there's all different genres and songs.

"And it's also great for fitness."

The show is underpinned by an educational curriculum designed to teach kids fundamental movement skills while building confidence, coordination and creativity.

Arielle, who began dancing at age three, has already enjoyed success in the world of dance.

At eight years of age, Arielle was accepted into the Australian Ballet School ITP program, and has enjoyed training and performing with them every year since.

Last year, Arielle was accepted into the Joffrey Ballet School Summer Intensive in Chicago.

"I would like to perform on cruise ships, or even have a character at Disneyland," she said of career goals in dance.

"I love feeling free, and I love performing on-stage because it makes me feel so happy.

"When the audience is clapping, it's the best feeling."

Ready Set Dance season two will air on Nick Jr. Australia (Nickelodeon's pre-school channel, on Foxtel Channel #703).

It launches on Monday, May 11 at 8.30am and airs on weekdays.
