Mall of America Getting Set for the Holidays

It's beginning to look a lot like Nickmas at Mall of America!

North America's largest mall is making one of America's earliest entries into one of our most highly anticipated holiday seasons.

Supply chain problems have retailers and center operators alike expecting an early start to the holiday shopping season, and Mall of America, home of Nickelodeon Universe is rounding up its reindeer, Chain Store Age is reporting.

Two 44-foot-tall Christmas trees, each adorned with 385 branches, 32,000 LED lights, and 60 strobe lights are now being assembled in the TCF Rotunda and will be ready to shine holiday cheer on guests this weekend.

Other holiday highlights going up in the 5.6 million-sq.-ft. mega-mall in Bloomington, Minn., include 11-foot-high nutcrackers, a giant toy rocket ship, a life-sized toy convertible, and an “Enchanted Snowflake Experience” composed of 12 glittering snowflakes as large as 11 feet in diameter hung from the Atrium ceiling.

Mall of America is the largest shopping and entertainment complex in North America with more than 520 world-class retail stores and restaurants. Top attractions include Nickelodeon Universe, a 7-acre indoor theme park; SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium, and FlyOver America.
