Directed by Eric Appel and starring Daniel Radcliffe, this Weird Al movie explores every side of Yankovic’s life, from his rise to fame with early smash hits such as 'My Bologna', ‘Eat It’ and ‘Like a Surgeon’ to his celebrity love affairs with the likes of Madonna as well as his lifestyle.
With its intent to deliver music and fun while not taking itself so seriously, The Al Yankovic Story spoofs the standard biopic formula with all the silliness it could muster, while still being clever and inventive. The biopic parody also makes for an extremely specific genre of music that makes it a must-see.
