McDonald's has partnered with Paramount and Sanrio for a brand new Happy Meal collaboration which will see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover with Hello Kitty!
McDonald's revealed the dozen Hello Kitty and friends characters sporting TMNT bandanas and turtle shells in an Instagram post on Thursday, July 31.
"Two faves in one??" the post said, along with the toy's release date.
Instagram comments raved about the new partnership, including Nickelodeon, which owns the TMNT brand.
"So ready for this," the official Nickelodeon account commented on McDonald's post.
Starting Tuesday, August 12 in the U.S., Happy Meals will come with a toy that combines the TMNT with Hello Kitty. There'll be 12 Hello Kitty x TMNT Happy Meal toys to collect whilst supplies last.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Hello Kitty and Friends Happy Meal comes with: four chicken nuggets or a hamburger; fries or sliced apples; water, juice, or milk; and a toy. Happy Meal toys can also be purchased separately to a Happy Meal.
Here’s a list of all Hello Kitty x TMNT Happy Meal promotion toys (photos below, courtesy of Attractions Magazine); diners will receive one of 12 possible toys.

Recent Happy Meal toy tie-ins included Lil McDonald’s, Squishmallows, and the Pixar movie Elio.
TMNT x Hello Kitty Happy Meal International Rollout
It seems that the TMNT x Hello Kitty Happy Meal promotion is part of an international rollout. In Malaysia and Italy, the toys hit restaurants earlier in July 2025, releasing as a regional test run before the U.S. rollout. Turns out the international launch was no coincidence; early feedback there helped inform packaging, toy design, and supply chains for the States.
Reddit threads suggest that the sets will also be making their way to Canada by late summer, a staggered reveal that keeps global collectors watching.
While McDonald’s hasn’t officially commented on global availability beyond those regions, observers expect a broader rollout if the U.S. launch is a hit. Some collectors are already hunting for import options from Malaysia or Italy, hoping to snag variants not yet offered stateside.
As for availability in the UK & Ireland, India or Europe, there’s no official word yet. But with these Hello Kitty‑TMNT toys already turning heads, a global wave could be next, pending regional interest and stock levels.
This isn't the first time Hello Kitty has been part of a Happy Meal collaboration. In Sept. 2024, the fictional character joined forces with the anime and card game franchise Yu-Gi-Oh!.
