The Simpsons' featured a surprise SpongeBob SquarePants Easter Egg during the show's latest Halloween special, "Treehouse of Horror XXXIII"!
During the episode, which aired October 30, The Simpsons' pay homage to the movie Westworld with the story "Simpson World", in which a theme park based on the show goes awry when animatronic versions of the titular family become self-aware. During the segment, the Simpsons escape the theme park in a Canyonero, a throwback to an earlier episode, and in a Bob's Burgers crossover, end up at Bob's Burgers Land, where they meet Linda Belcher.
At the end of the episode, the exterior shot pans out, revealing that in addition to Simpsonsworld and Bob's Burgers Land, the world includes attractions based on other iconic animated series, including Futurama Rama, South Park Park, Family Guy Town, Rick and Morty Universe, Big Mouth Mountain, and finally, SpongeBob SEA, which is shaped like SpongeBob's Pineapple house!
