Paul J. Medford, Nickelodeon Vice President of Unscripted Current Series and Executive Producer of the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2023 has teased what viewers can expect at this year's KCAs!

“Kids’ Choice Awards this year is unique in that we’ve replaced the straightforward awards show formula with a magic-infused journey that leads the audience, our hosts [Charli D’Amelio] and [Nate Burleson] and all our honorees on a trip through tech-enhanced performances, surreal set pieces and of course, tons of slime,” Medford told Variety, adding “It’s definitely the alternate universe-version of an awards show, and we can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Not only will there be the traditional sliming of celebs, but talent will also be arriving from above the stage in a what its being described as a “flying UFO.”

Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2023 also marks a number of firsts for Nickelodeon's annual slimefest: the ceremony will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles for the first time, and is being produced for the first time by Den of Thieves, who has previously produced specials such as the MTV VMAs 2022, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party Hosted by Miley Cyrus & Dolly Parton, The 48th Annual People’s Choice Awards, the Vogue World 2022 Livestream, and E! Live from the Red Carpet 2022.
Hosted by Nate Burleson and Charli D’Amelio, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2023 will continue to put the fans in control as they enter a magical surreal world and feature extreme logic-defying stunts; wild celebrity collaborations and games; illusions and tricks; and epic slimings. The show will simulcast across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, TV Land, CMT and MTV2, and livestream on Nick.com and the Nick App.
