YTV's The Zone embarks on cross-Canada Summer Road Trip
YTV, Nickelodeon and Treehouse Feature Father's Day Marathons


YTV is starting the summer off with new episodes of fan favourite series such as Game On and Max & Shred in June, followed in July by new episodes of Some Assembly Required and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Beginning on Monday, July 6, YTV's The Zone will be leaving the studio and taking viewers on a Summer Road Trip to towns and cities across Canada. Additionally, YTV will treat viewers to Big Fun Movies, including YTV premieres of Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, The Prince of Egypt, Splitting Adam and RV.


The Zone is going on an exciting cross-Canada road trip this summer to visit fans in towns and cities from the Maritimes to British Columbia. For three weeks, The Zone will hit the highway on a mission to see the best roadside attractions that Canada has to offer. Along the way, host Carlos and correspondents Suki, Lisa and Victor will experience great Canadian summer traditions happening in small towns, big cities, national parks, fairs, festivals and everything in between.

Brittany Ishibashi To Play Karai In "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2"

The entertainment industry news website Deadline Hollywood is reporting the Turtley Awesome news that Brittany Ishibashi has been cast to play Karai, daughter of the iconic villain Shredder (Brian Tee) in Nickelodeon Movies, Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes' "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2", a sequel to Nick and Paramount's 2014 fun-filled and action-packed blockbuster "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie!

Briefly played by Minae Noji in the 2014 film, the character is one of the leaders of the legendary Foot Clan in the source material and in the original comics outranked the Shredder. In other versions of the series, the character is the adoptive daughter of the turtles' sworn enemy; however, she sometimes served as an ally for the heroes.

Ishibashi's recent credits include "Grace And Frankie", "Bones" and "Emily Owens, M.D.", along with the features "Everything Before Us" and "The Harvesting". She is repped by Innovative Artists, Kyle Fritz Management and Jackoway Tyerman.

Brittany joins Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Stephen Amell, Tyler Perry, Brian Tee, Laura Linney, Brian Tee and Gary Anthony Williams in Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures' sequel directed by David Green from a script by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec. Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are producing. The film is currently filming, and is set for release June 3, 2016. Nickelodeon Teams With Forbidden Planet For Exclusive "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Merchandise Lines

Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) and Forbidden Planet have teamed up to bring an exclusive range of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" apparel, art and homeware to Forbidden Planet's UK stores in a direct to retail agreement!

The new TMNT range has a retro look and is inspired by the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series. The lines go on sale from Saturday 6th June 2015 at Forbidden Planet stores across major UK cities, including the megastore on London's Shaftesbury Avenue.

Forbidden Planet's new TMNT range is also available online at and includes t-shirts, aprons, posters and cards as well as Turtles homeware.

Turtles fans were given a sneak peek at the new product range at last weekend's MCM Comic Con 2015, while also being treated to an appearance from the pizza loving foursome - Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael, below!
