Saban And MEI To Launch "Power Rangers" Experience At The Dubai Mall

Saban Brands has partnered with Millennium Entertainment International (MEI) to create a first-of-its-kind live "Power Rangers" experience that will launch at The Dubai Mall on Thursday 20th August 2015 as part of the Dubai Summer Surprises 2015!


The "Power Rangers Super Megaforce" experience at the Dubai Mall marks the first presence for the superhero brand in the country and will include a Power Rangers Academy training session for kids, an interactive live performance and a "Power Rangers" memorabilia exhibit.

The Dubai Mall is the first activation of a new EMEA initiative by the two partners.

"Saban's Power Rangers' is a global phenomenon with more than two decades of success and an enormous international fan base," says Gustavo Antonioni, managing director of consumer products, EMEA, Saban Brands. "With this in mind, we are excited to be working with MEI to expand the 'Power Rangers' brand and bring an immersive, role-play, live experience to fans in new markets throughout EMEA."

Nick Larkin, chief dreamer at MEI, added: "MEI is thrilled to be working with Saban’s Power Rangers to bring this powerhouse brand to a wider audience across the Middle East and Europe. With an all-new season and many other plans on the horizon, it is an exciting time to be partnering with the Power Rangers."

The "Power Rangers Super Megaforce experience" will include:

Power Rangers Academy – The Power Rangers will teach kids how to put the Power Rangers values of teamwork, confidence, health and physical activity into action by providing hands-on training tutorials. These "Train like a Ranger" sessions provide opportunity for fans to meet the Power Rangers face-to-face, prepare for their role in a interactive live performance and learn how to use some of their favorite "power moves".

Interactive live performance – Once fans are properly trained, the experience will segue into an interactive live performance that will tell an original story featuring Saban's "Power Rangers Super Megaforce".

"Power Rangers" memorabilia exhibit – Throughout the six-day run of the Power Rangers experience, visitors to The Dubai Mall can also check out authentic memorabilia from Saban's "Power Rangers" 22-year history. The exhibit will include items like the original Black Mighty Morphin Power Ranger costume, all five Power Rangers S.P.D. morphers and Master Xandred's sword from "Power Rangers Samurai", among many other items.

The live Power Rangers experience will take place at The Dubai Mall from Thursday 20th to Wednesday 26th August 2015.

There are also plans in place to grow and bring the experience to several international markets, according to Saban.

Burbank, Calif. – Aug. 19, 2015Nickelodeon announced today it has greenlit 20 episodes of the social-media influenced comedy Pinky Malinky, the next original animated series to join the growing roster of content driven by creators discovered all over the world. Co-created and co-executive produced by Chris Garbutt and Rikke Asbjoern (The Amazing World of Gumball) and executive produced by Scott Kreamer (Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness), the trio are a part of the Artist Collective, an internal diverse group of experienced creators who mentor and support up-and-coming talent while also collaborating to cultivate, challenge and inspire Nickelodeon's development pipeline. Pinky Malinky follows the everyday life of Pinky Malinky, an infectiously positive hotdog living in a human world who along with his two best friends, navigate school and life with a unique perspective. Their humorous experiences will also be shared across social media and Nickelodeon's digital platforms. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank, Calif., the series is scheduled to premiere in 2016.

Using the tropes of a mockumentary and reality show format, Pinky and his friends will talk directly to the camera and the audience to share their absurd and silly take on real life. At times, all children feel like they don't fit in and Pinky's undeniably unique point of view as a literal wiener amongst humans will allow kids to laugh at his familiar struggles and enjoy his unusual perspective on the challenges of being a school-aged kid. By always reaching for the stars, Pinky pushes himself further than anyone could imagine, and proves that being a "wiener" is only one letter away from being a "WINNER!"

Nickelodeon Poland Invites Children To Two-Day Festival Of Fun

Nickelodeon Poland has announced the exciting Nickelodeon International news in the following press release, from Nick Polska's online press office, that Nickelodeon Poland (Polska) will celebrate the channels third annual "Dzień Zabawy z Nickelodeon", Nickelodeon Poland's local version of Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play, over Friday 28th and Saturday 29th August 2015!


On Friday 28th August 2015, Nickelodeon Polska with go off-air for four hours between 1:00pm and 5:00pm to encourage children across Poland to go outside and play, whether in a garden, in a park or at a playground. While off air, Nick Germany's official website, nick.com.pl, will feature information and tips on how kids can get active and fantastic game ideas.

At 17:00, viewers will will be treated to a special airing of the popular live-action "The Fairly OddParents" movie "Fairly Odd Paradise" ("A Fairly Odd Summer")!

The purpose of "Dzień Zabawy z Nickelodeon" is to encourage kids to go out and get some exercise in the fresh air. This idea is not only close to Nickelodeon, but also Poland's Minister of Sport and Tourism, Adamowi Korolowi, who has become an honorary patron of "Dzień Zabawy z Nickelodeon". In the United States one of the main ambassadors Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play is the First Lady. From the beginning of her husband's presidency, Michelle Obama has set a goal to convince the country's youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

This year's "Day of Fun" will not only be limited only to the Nickelodeon television channel and the Internet. On Saturday 29th August 2015, Nickelodeon invites all children and parents to Warsaw's Mokotów Field, where Nickelodeon will hold a sports-themed Nickelodeon zone, in which children will be able to take part in many competitions and earn achievements. The line-up includes: bubble football, spider web of ropes, throwing slime to the goal, a climbing wall and much more. In addition, Nickelodeon's "Dzień Zabawy z Nickelodeon" partners will have dedicated zones where kids will be able to participate in a array of activities, including:

* A Hortex Leon zone where kids will be able to have their photos taken, have their faces painted and take part in sports games, including hula-hoops;

* A Nestle Nesquik zone, where kids can play basketball;

* A Tomy zone, where kids can race John Deere remote-controlled tractors, play fun games and have the possibility of sitting behind the wheel of a real tractor.

Już po raz trzeci Nickelodeon Polska zachęca dzieci i rodziców do znalezienia równowagi pomiędzy czasem spędzanym przed telewizorem, a zabawą w ramach akcji „Dzień Zabawy z Nickelodeon”! Tegoroczna edycja odbędzie się w dniach 28-29. sierpnia.

Już w piątek 28. sierpnia Nickelodeon wyłączy nadawane programu na 4 godziny (13:00-17:00), wygasi swoją stronę nick.com.pl i zaprosi wszystkie dzieci do szalonej zabawy na świeżym powietrzu. Na stronie nick.com.pl dzieci i rodzice znajdą wiele ciekawych propozycji zabaw i gier zespołowych, idealnych do przetestowania podczas popołudnia na podwórku lub w parku. Następnie o godzinie 17:00 na widzów czekać będzie wyjątkowy film „Rajskie tarapaty”.

Założeniem akcji „Dzień Zabawy z Nickelodeon” jest zachęcenie młodych widzów do wyjścia z domu i ruchu na świeżym powietrzu. Get a bird's eye view of the future home of the Nickelodeon Animation Studio! Set to open in Fall 2016, the new Nickelodeon Studios, will be a state of the art creative complex in the heart of Burbank... and best of all, it'll be open to the public!:

The new Nickelodeon Studios will be a state-of-the-art five-story glass structure that will unite the entire Nickelodeon family in a single facility and will be a hub for the entire animation industry.

As the new site will house both live action and Nicktoon productions, the studio will also officially change its name from Nickelodeon Animation Studio to simply Nickelodeon Studios.


The opening will coincide with Nickelodeon Animation's 25th anniversary in 2016 - the networks three original animated series, "Rugrats", "Doug" and "Ren & Stimpy" premiered on Sunday 11th August 1991 - and one of the goals for the new facility is to draw upon that history.

The creative campus is designed as an open and inviting space where employees feel the freedom and inspiration of an artists' retreat. Among the perks will be an on-site restaurant and coffee shop, a central courtyard with designated lecture space and a music room.

A Nickelodeon Studios app will include a rundown of events for the day including guest speakers, tours and screenings, and allow for easy communication and scheduling across all departments. Observing that creative ideas spring more frequently from casual interactions than forced meetings, Nickelodeon wants to seize the opportunity for greater collaboration and mobility between Nick’s various production arms.

More than just a base for Nickelodeon, Nickelodeon will open the studio up to the community with tours and programs targeted at aspiring animators, aficionados of the form and industry professionals.
