Passaic County, NJ – The Passaic County Surrogate, Hon. Zoila Cassanova, Esq. is proud to announce her 2nd Annual Nickelodeon Universe Awareness & Inclusion Amusement Park Day, taking place Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Nickelodeon Universe at the American Dream Mall. This free, sensory-friendly event is open to autistic and developmentally disable Passaic County residents ages 8-21 and one companion, with tickets available through a pre-registration lottery system due to limited availability.
Now in its second year, the event continues the Surrogate’s commitment to fostering inclusion and providing families with a safe, fun and engaging environment.
“My goal is to create an experience where young people with autism and developmental disabilities can enjoy the excitement of the amusement park without barriers or limitations,” said Passaic County Surrogate Zoila Cassanova, Esq.. “This event is a celebration of inclusion, joy and community. It’s a reminder that every child deserves to feel welcomed and empowered.”
The day will feature a special Ride Into Inclusion performance at 10:45 AM by GuitarMusicBoy, a talented 21-year-old electric guitarist from New York. Living with autism, GuitarMusicBoy has used music to connect with audiences and express himself, creating an inspiring atmosphere for all attendees. Proudly managed by EAS Entertainment Group, his performance exemplifies the power of art in promoting inclusion.
Passaic County Commissioner Director Sandi Lazzara emphasized the broader impact of the event: “Events like this showcase how our county works to ensure every resident has access to enriching experiences. It’s a day where families can relax, enjoy, and connect with resources and support.”
“Creating an inclusive community starts with awareness, understanding, and access,” said Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes. “Events like this not only provide a joyful experience for children with autism and their families, but also help strengthen the connection between our offices and the residents we serve. We are proud to support initiatives that promote safety, inclusion, support and meaningful engagement for all.”
Passaic County Sheriff Thomas Adamo added, “The Sheriff’s Office is very committed to supporting all members of our community. This event provides a safe and welcoming space where children with autism and their families can experience fun and excitement without stress and worry, strengthening the sense of inclusion we strive for every day.”
In addition to the morning’s activities, attendees and their families will have the opportunity to learn more about important County-led initiatives designed to support individuals with special needs, including the Sheriff Office’s AngelSense program, which helps enhance safety and connectivity for individuals with autism, and the Prosecutor Office’s Blue Envelope program, which provides critical communication tools to assist individuals with developmental disabilities during interactions with first responders.
Tickets are available only to Passaic County residents through a lottery system, and attendees must pre-register in advance. Each selected participant may bring one companion, and spaces are limited. Tickets will be available for purchase the day of the event for any additional guests wishing to participate.

(EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ) -- American Dream continues to redefine the holiday shopping experience by offering unique events and unmatched experiences, complementing the destination's extensive portfolio of retail, attractions and dining offerings.
The festivities begin with Santa's arrival parade on November 15, followed by an action-packed Black Friday that kicks off a holiday season full of events, giveaways and activations. The first 250 eligible guests arriving on Black Friday, with line up starting at 5:00am, will have the opportunity to strap into the Double Dare Human Crane or spin the prize wheel inside Nickelodeon Universe, starting at 6:00am and grab highly coveted prizes.
Guests can then continue their holiday shopping starting at 7:00am or enjoy one of the property's 30-plus attractions, many of which will open as early as 6:00am, including free skating at The Rink and free roller coaster rides on Shellraiser and free admission to the Paw Patrol Hero Academy at Nickelodeon Universe from 6:00am – 8:00am.
Also on November 15, the Apollo Theatre brings the magic of Amateur Night to American Dream with open auditions for its annual Amateur Night Holiday Special. Then, on December 15, rising musical star Max McKnown will perform at American Dream at 6:30pm, culminating a three-week toy drive collaboration with Audacy's NEW 102.7's Karen Carson In The Morning, beginning on November 24.

Step into a world transformed by Halloween magic - where cobwebs drape the park, mums bloom in eerie colors, and pumpkins grin from every corner. Guests will discover spooky character photo ops lurking throughout the park, perfect for capturing memories that go bump in the night.
The air will be alive with haunt-themed music, setting the tone for a frightfully fun adventure. And don’t miss the hourly bubble show, now enhanced with the scents of fall treats like kettle corn and candy corn!
For thrill-seekers, Nickelodeon Universe's roller coasters take on a haunted edge, delivering high-speed screams and ghostly surprises around every turn. Whether you're braving the twists in the dark or soaring past spooky scenery, these rides are not for the faint of heart!
Beloved Nickelodeon characters are dressing up in their favorite Halloween costumes for daily meet-and-greets—so bring your cameras and your courage!
On weekends, the excitement rises from the grave with an all-new spooktacular dance party led by Nick Team performers. Guests of all ages are invited to join the Halloween parade, where costumes, music, and slime collide in a celebration of spooky joy.
